A Princess, A Royal Room and a CRAZY Auntie EE and Uncle Goey Updated 1/12 COMPLETED

So happy your girls are doing so well!! Jack is doing an honours degree in Applied Computer Science. He will pick a double major next year but for now is taking a bunch of different classes to get a feel for his second subject.

This is very impressive, as I am very technologically challenged!!!

Love the expression!

I know, right!!!

Cuteness overload!!

AWWW, thank you!!!

Yikes! Sorry GFC was such a bust. Especially on the alcohol front. We've always enjoyed our breakfasts there, but the service is usually suspect at best.

Glad to see the weather cooperated for the Halloween Party for you all. Can't wait to see what Gia thinks of it

Couldn't agree more!!!

I was panicked when the rain came in...But, like Disney magic, the skies cleared and the sun came out literally as soon as our bus pulled in...

Dinner at Skipper Canteens

After our great boat ride through the Amazon and beyond, it was time for dinner. We had reservations at Skipper Canteens. We checked in and were seated immediately, which was weird to us, because we've always had to wait a bit in the past. Our table escort even gave us some history on the restaurant and threw in a few jokes, which was also new to us...We felt like we were finally getting the full experience...:yay:This was new to us too...

Our waitress came right away and took our drink orders. I started with a glass of the House-made Spiced Sangria - Zolo Red Wine blended with ruby grapefruit juice and a trio of fruit $10.00. Joe had the Jungle Navigation Co. Shandy - Blue Moon Belgian White Ale mixed with lemonade $10.00. Both of these were very refreshing and hit the spot, as it was pretty steamy outside after that quick storm that blew in...By the way, our waitress was super sweet. She was attentive without being overbearing, and she gave us enough time between courses before she asked what we wanted next. And, my wine was REALLY wine!!! HAHAHA!

For our appetizers, I had the Falls Family Falafel, - A secret recipe of chickpeas, garlic, onions, lemon juice and herbs with white bean dip and tomato-cucumber salad $10.00. I had this back in March and really enjoyed it, so I decided to try it again, and it didn't disappoint. The falafel balls were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with an array of spices. Joe had some kind of soup that he liked too. Sorry, I have no idea what it was...But, I did manage pictures of both.:P For dinner, we both had the "Tastes Like Chicken" Because it is! - crispy fried chicken with citrus and ginger-scented rice, chili glaze and seasonal vegetables $24.00. I get this as my entree every time, and Joe always regrets that he didn't order it too, so he finally took the plunge. Great choice!!!! Epic fail, as I didn't get pics of our identical chicken plates... Gia had mac and cheese with fresh fruit. When they brought out her fruit, we were all delighted to see that it was shaped like Mickey!!! I've never seen this done before, and it was super cute...She liked it too.

We all passed on dessert because we had something special planned for later in the evening...For now, it was time to get to our last FP of the evening, Peter Pan's Flight...

I'm super late, but it seems like y'all were having such a fun trip! Oh, how I would love to live 1 hour and 15 minutes away from WDW :worship:

Gia is a doll and is so lucky to have you and Joe as her Aunt and Uncle. I plan to bring my niece in a couple years, when she's almost 5 years old, and I can't wait!

Hence the reason I get to visit Disney every time we visit St Pete...

Thank you! Since our kids are older (26, 22, 18 and 18) it's nice to experience the magic through a little's eyes...

I feel like a broken record but Gia sure takes some nice pictures, she is so photogenic! I love your Halloween shirts and your pictures at the beginning of the party.

The falafel looks good and Andi and I have shared the Taste Like Chicken and really liked it!

I’m excited to hear about the rest of your evening!

We didn’t try any of the special Halloween treats on our party night because it was so hot and crowded!

Oh, Caroline...You are too sweet!:lovestruc

We really like Skipper Canteens. We have always enjoyed some really good meals here.

Between me and you (wink, wink), we attended the dessert party and all the "special" treats that were available to buy, were part of the desserts you could pick from at the party. We were able to try the poison apple cupcake and the pumpkin cheesecake to name a few...:rolleyes1

We Still had some Things to Accomplish Before Dessert...

After a fabulous meal at Skipper Canteens, we rode Peter Pan's Flight, our second FP of the night. From there we hopped on the carousel (Gia's favorite) and then went to meet some princesses. By now, MNSSHP had officially begun and was in full swing...We were also able to ride LM (twice), IASM, Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo with barely a wait (all Gia's choices)...We found the party to be mildly crowded. We never waited for more than a couple of minutes in any attraction lines or to trick or treat, but the lines for the characters were insane, so we didn't bother...We picked up the lighted cauldron popcorn bucket and did some shopping between rides. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Tomorrowland...:cool1:

For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, we had reservations for the Hallowishes Dessert Party. Joe and I are HUGE fans of the dessert parties at MK, and have found it's the only way for us to watch HEA, as we both HATE crowds and HATE lining up to watch said fireworks with said crowds an hour before they begin...I love the fact that I can twirl around in the garden because there's so much space (I'm not saying I do twirl, but if I wanted to, I could)...:rotfl2:

This was probably my favorite dessert party. After we checked in, we were given the CUTEST lanyards and escorted to our table. All the tables were decorated with Halloween decorations and candles, which added a nice touch. From there, we were able to gorge our faces with all kinds of fresh fruit, cheese, and crackers, hamburger spring rolls (these were AWESOME, thanks @chunkymonkey), spinach dip, make your own smores and all kinds of mini desserts. But wait!!!!! These weren't your average desserts...They were minis of ALL the special Halloween desserts you could buy throughout the park, like the pumpkin cheesecake, the poison apple cupcake, the Oogie Boogie gluten-free dessert, and the Madame Leota cake...Joe and I were thrilled!!!! These were all the desserts we wanted to try but were afraid we wouldn't be able to fit them into our night, and here they were before us in all their sugary glory...:yay:

After a few plates and a couple of glasses of cider, we made our way to the garden. Or, should I say we were escorted to the garden...Now because this was a party night, the garden was even less crowded. I could have done cartwheels across it (but, I didn't, for obvious reasons. I didn't want to break something)...

After Hallowishes, we made our way to Frontierland to catch the second parade of the night. While we were waiting, Brier Rabbit noticed Gia's birthday button and had the CM's and crowd sing Happy Birthday to her (Brier Rabbit and the Country Bears were entertaining the crowd). It happened so fast, that Joe and I missed out on taking pics of the entire celebration...It was so cute and Gia LOVED it!!!!!

The Boo to You Parade was AWESOME (as always)! I absolutely adore it!!!

We decided to call it a night after the parade, but not before we got some magic shots and did some more shopping on Main Street...

Which park will we visit tomorrow and where did we eat breakfast??? I see more princesses in our immediate future...

What a great surprise!

Seriously....Gia is too cute. She looks like she is having the time of her life with the princesses.

Looks like you all had a great experience at Skippers. Much better than our last time. Whatever it is Joe's soup looks great. And I love the falaffel. Looks like it has a new presentation too.

So good to see Gia having so much fun at the party! Loving all of her princess pictures.

What a great idea to do the dessert party on party night. We rarely see the fireworks because I like you am not waiting an hour for anything. So that just means we skip it most of the time, unless we are at California Grill. I'd love to do the dessert party one time, but I just can't get over the price tag without alcohol included :scared1:

Looks like you guys had a blast at the party! Mike and I went on 10/18 and I thought it was super crowded. We don't think we'll go again unless they start selling less tickets, or something.

This was probably my favorite dessert party.

That does look really cute. We opted out of that but maybe we should have booked it to escape from the crowds for a bit.

Cute magic shots!
