They are usually good about thinking out the routing, not sure why that one happened. How about Disney shouldn't run marathons that go right by guest rooms. Wasn't a fan of all the screaming and yelling before 7 am.

Exactly, there is a difference between making noise unintentionally and being thoughtless.I am never bothered or offended by noises that can’t be helped, and this would be one. I also check out early in the morning and try to be as quiet as possible with closing the door and rolling the suitcase. I think most people are frustrated by the noises and actions that are preventable. There’s a big difference in the sound of a rolling suitcase and the sound of a rolling suitcase accompanied by loud talking, or allowing the suitcase to bang into things as it rolls. I am sure you weren’t as noisy as you thought you were.
THIS!!! Happened 2 weeks ago on a flight I was on... so gross!YES to all of these! Don’t even get me started on airplane etiquette....a foot long tuna fish sandwich on the plane? Really?
I actually laughed out loud to this one!!!YES to all of these! Don’t even get me started on airplane etiquette....a foot long tuna fish sandwich on the plane? Really?
Pardon the adult content...but headboards banging against the wall, which include some prayer time to the almighty, can be included here. Quality alone time is one thing, but I'd rather my kids not know about it.
Oh my that phone!!! My sis in law came with us years ago. We were on the 5th floor at AKL. DH and I waere done on the Savannah level looking at the flamingos, and we coudl hear every word of her phone conversation. This was repeated everywhere we were, in the CL lounge, the parks, everywhere. DH told me if she went again, he was out.
I am one of the elderly, and I truly don't mind if a child sits - they get tired too and sometimes the parents have other kids, but I do object to when the parents spread out the backpacks on the seats when there are no other seats available. I know you carried them around all day, but put them at your feet, please. What about the bus seating???? I know it is only polite to let kids have their own seat but a child can sit on a lap and give up the seat for elderly.
I would have told her that we are all ready to order and she can either decide what she wants by the time everyone is done ordering or she can leave and eat elsewhere.OMG!!! We went on our "special 50th anniversary trip" and a couple we often travelled with insisted on coming with us. SHE spent the ENTIRE time talking and texting on her phone: 10 days!!! On more than one occasion telling the waiter to come back to take our order because she had not looked at the menu yet - even though the rest of us were ready! I could go on, but it just makes me angrier. I should have just grabbed the phone and tossed it into the lake. Needless to say, that was our last shared vacation.
I agree, honestly I don't get people lugging around backbacks and bags all day. Too much work to save $2 or $3. Of course that is unless there are babies involved and you need diaper bags and such, but that is different.I am one of the elderly, and I truly don't mind if a child sits - they get tired too and sometimes the parents have other kids, but I do object to when the parents spread out the backpacks on the seats when there are no other seats available. You are a better person than I. Wish I could be more like you and had done that. I'm more of an avoid confrontation and seethe person.I would have told her that we are all ready to order and she can either decide what she wants by the time everyone is done ordering or she can leave and eat elsewhere.
We were on a bus going back to CSR with a group pf cheers. They were cheering and chanting, and it got pretty loud/ It was late, kids were tired, and babies sleeping. I spoke to a chaperone, and boom! A few did not listen so as we exited the bus he had the entire group pulled aside, and their planned visit to the food court was canceled. Room and lights out.Guys... Etiquette at travel cheer competitions has all of this beat. Being trapped in a hotel with thousands of cheerleaders and their parents in town for high stakes competition is... interesting. Drunk parents passed out, kids, and worse teens, running wild until all hours of the nights. One night the room next door sounded like WWE event. Moms were passed out drunk upstairs and teen girls had mattresses from the beds on the floor tumbling, and they were running between floors and slamming the fire doors. That is just night 1, when everyone is hopped up on adrenaline. Night two usually brings fights about who caused what point deduction fueled by alcohol and sleep deprivation, and angry cranky parents yelling at kids.
Have you ever met that entitled person who cannot understand why you are questioning her behavior? Including her was a mistake, however she was my first husbands sister, and after he died, I tried to keep her in the family loop. This cell phone nonsense was just the last straw in a long line of problems that began when we were planning our DGD's first trip to Disney. DH and I felt the trip should e all about what DD, DSIL and DGD wanted, and the rest of us were just along as a courtesy, but no. SIS IL was offended they even might consider a little alone time as a family! She wanted to come on the next vacation, however I had a full scale mutiny on my hands. Nope.
Just curious....but did neither of you say anything to her? Nobody mentioned to her how annoying it was?
!
Oooh. Thanks for sharing. That looks like a good one. I have one for my daughter from the baby aisle at Walmart or something and the tone is too high pitched. Like the snowy screen on a tv. I prefer a low tone similar to a fan being run. I’ll have to give that one a try!
On vacation, I like using a fan to block out noise but on low so I could still hear if something is wrong. So I agree that people should not be obnoxious and refer to their handouts in case they lapse in judgement.
