Favorite resort breakfast?

Hi DISers!

I want to make an ADR for breakfast on the day we are attending MVMCP. I’d prefer if it were in one of the resorts in the mono loop. But it’s not a must as I have my own vehicle.

What is your favorite resort breakfast?

Thanks in advance!

We did Cali Grill brunch before the halloween party and it was perfect because we didn't need supper! That would only be an option if your party was on a Sunday, and it is pricy. We also like Kona at the poly!

I know I'm a broken record on the subject, but I love breakfast at Kona Café (Polynesian Resort). Awesome coffee, both sweet and savory menu options. I had the Tonga toast last time - I had them leave the sugar off the outside because I thought it would be too sweet for me, and it was just perfect.

The Wave in Contemporary!! A classy buffet or order from menu. We also enjoy Trails End at Fort Wilderness for a rustic feeling.

Good news is the monorail loop has some of the best breakfast offerings. If per chance its a Sunday California Grill brunch cannot be beat. Its expensive but a totally indulgent and worth it experience.

Of the others my favorite food wise is probably Kona. The macadamia nut pancakes, their take on eggs benedict, and tonga toast are all phenomenal. Service is usually a bust, but I can forgive it for the food.

If you are looking for a buffet we also really like The Wave. Their offerings are smaller in scale then some others, but for me that means that they turn the food over much more often and execute it tremendously well. Favs include sweet potato pancakes, cheesy grits, and key lime eggs benedict.

Grand Floridian Cafe is good too, but not as good as the others.

I already have Boma booked for departure date. So I may add Kona Cafe since it’s been recommended by so many and since it’s in the mino loop, it’s convenient.

Kona at the Poly is great for breakfast - the coffee and macadamia nut pineapple pancakes are delicious! I also love the Grand Floridian Cafe for a nice laid back breakfast.

Yes, really good menu dishes but and even better, the breakfast buffet and those darn Tillamook Cheddar cheese grits, seal the deal!

and the Grand Floridan Cafe, I've only ever had the lobster eggs Benedict and they keep me coming back!

I prefer a more savory breakfast but some rave for the Tonga French toast at Kona, argh, but the pressed pot coffee, it's so good,

We did The Wave the day of our Halloween Party and we loved it! Got up a little late, headed over, had a leisurely breakfast and then resort-hopped on the monorail loop. It was fun!

Olivia's at Old Key West. Never crowded and the food and service are really good there.

Sadly, the last few times we ate there it was not good-not bad
But certainly not an out of your way trip for...

Dh & my sweeties love pancakes-
Preferred the ones in por food court!

Although, if someone could suggest another great ts breakfast stop with fluffy pancakes; we could give it a try...

Ohana is always a favorite for the family style meal and the beautiful view of Magic Kingdom. It gets you excited for your day at the park. Truth be told, the last time we were there our service was less than stellar, but I am not ready to give up on it yet.

Olivia's is my top choice - we ate there again last week and it was still better than the other spots we've eaten in the last year.

We dine at The Wave, Kona, and GF Cafe quite often and the Wave is our favorite out of those.

On a weekend, I'd do breakfast at Homecomin' - it's better than all of them ;)

I liked GF Cafe breakfast over the Wave’s buffet and Kona. I am just not a fan of breakfast buffets in general because I’m not a huge breakfast eater. I know I could order from the menu at the Wave, but if I’m doing that, I’d much prefer to do so in GF Cafe, whose atmosphere (and service) I found superior. Plus, my eggs Benedict at GF were much better than those on the Wave buffet. Kona just is not our favorite for any meal.
