Cass, Rob & Kira - Disney & Universal August 2018 - The heat index is what???

Thanks for the great trip report, sure was nice to relive all those moments! Looking forward to the video :)

I am not on here often but planning a trip in August. When searching, “Trips in August” I came across your trip report. Needless to say I spent a good portion of my morning reading your whole report! You are such a fantastic writer and I enjoyed every word.
ThankYou for sharing.

Awww, shucks!:blush::blush: Thank you

Good luck with your August trip, crossing fingers we can go in August too :goodvibes

So I'm curious, and now wondering if I'm doing something wrong. When I've been writing my TR, I have only been able to add 10 pictures to a post. I'm just doing a copy/paste from my computer into the post. Maybe that's why. I know some people use picture hosting sites, but I don't know much about them. Is that what you're using?

I have an interest in the space program...maybe not an obsession though
I did try to see a shuttle launch, in 2000 as well, I think it was Atlantis. But the launch was cancelled. It was disappointing because I used up a whole vacation day to drive out there. But I guess I can say I was at the launch site anyway.

Sapphire Falls looks like a nicer hotel than Aventura for sure, at least on the pictures.

Hmmm, only 10 photos? :scratchin

I used to use Photobucket, like a million others, until they started charging ridiculous amounts of money to host the photos. I have my own website (took the content down years ago due to privacy concerns) that I've had since 2005 that I don't use much (but am not getting rid of) so I spent HOURS and HOURS moving my PB photos to my site and so I host my own photos now.

I've never tried to upload them directly here, I would imagine they limit it because they are now hosting your photos so they don't want a million photos here either. :confused3

Mine are all just links to the photos on my site, but there is still a limit of 35 photos per thread.

Oh that sucks that you missed the launch

It's very disappointing when they cancel the launches, especially if you take a special trip just for it. I was crossing every fiber in my being in July 2011 for the launch not to reschedule so Rob could see it, I was the one screaming that time at my computer screen :rotfl2:

I love the looks of Sapphire Falls. Is it near the bells and whistles of the water park?

I doubt you could hear the bells from Volcano Bay all the way from Sapphire Falls. Maybe at Aventura? Definitely not from SF. :scratchin

Excellent report! I've been skulking about your reports for years and can't believe how grown up your daughter looks! She's a beautiful young lady now! How fun that she got into the bigger rides with you guys on this trip. And she made money doing it! That's hilarious and awesome.
I look forward to the next trip report!

My second trip report, which I ended up deleting a few months after I wrote it ( for personal reasons) was Kira's first trip and she was only 10 months old on that one. If you got to read that before it was deleted, you would have seen her grow from 10 months to a now, almost 12 years! :rolleyes1

She's definitely changed over the years, we have a lot of great memories, a few bad ones and a lot of funny ones that we still laugh about. :teeth:

Thanks for posting and following along all these years.

Thank you for taking the time to write your trip reports, I enjoy them all!

Thanks for reading :flower:

Fabulous report as always! I got behind, so had the pleasure of binge reading! So sorry to hear that you didn't like Portofino Bay very much. We stayed for the first time last year and loved it. Maybe we lucked out with a good room. Although I was jealous of your balcony!! Hopefully the rooms will be refurbed soon. Good on you for doing the drop slides at Volcano Bay!!! I do all roller coasters and rides in general, but nope, not those drop slides! Enjoyed living vicariously!

It makes it, semi, easier to deal with the end of this report.......knowing there's another one coming up shortly!!!

I can see why people love PB (if they got a clean room) but it's not for us. Just like some people don't care for Hard Rock and we just love that place! ::yes::

Hahaha, I don't blame you, especially when you have to sit there and wait for the floor to drop, a little unnerving. I would prefer to just go. :p

Yes, video first then another trippie, different but still a trippie :cool1:

Thanks for sticking through another one.

Wonderful report! I thoroughly enjoyed every last bit of it!!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Thanks for the great trip report, sure was nice to relive all those moments! Looking forward to the video :)

It was a really great trip, hope we get to do another one next August :love2:

More breakfast at Keke's, more VB time, another trip to KSC for you and Kira and a lot more sleeping in and relaxing next year :P :D

Another fantastic trip report! I really enjoyed following along.

Thanks for sharing your vacation with us.

That's probably what it is. It's a bit annoying having to always do "continued next post" because I hit my picture limit, but it seems like there's been a lot of problems with the hosting sites lately too.

t's taken me just over a month to write about our 14 night adventure, not too shabby :goodvibes
That's very good! You managed it a lot faster than me. I knew writing my first TR was going to take time and I set a goal to do a post once a week, but I've missed it a couple times. Life definitely gets in the way sometimes!

I noticed the new Chicken Guy place that Guy Fieri & Robert Earl (Planet Hollywood & Earl of Sandwich owner) partnered up for. I would be eating here with my friend Patty in a week and a half, otherwise, I probably would have wanted to try it with Rob & Kira just to sample it. Kira is a chicken strip connoisseur as you know. :p
I was really curious about that place too, since it just opened when I was there. But I never did try it either. I've heard read reviews though.

I fell in love with Sugarboo and wanted to buy half the store....Kira wanted to buy the other half I think :rolleyes1
Hmmm...I hadn't heard of this place. Looking at the pictures, it is probably a good thing (for my bank account) that my girls did not go in there!

We carried on towards the Marketplace and just had to have one last taste of our beloved Dole Whip
I was so delighted to find that kiosk in DS. I must have missed the memo. I had no idea Dole Whips were there. It was a nice break from shopping.

I really enjoyed your report. It was fun to read about someone else's experience around the same time as my trip.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I enjoyed reading it and seeing all your pictures.

I'm always in awe of the level of details you remember and how you don't forget to take pics (I always forget). :worship: I always learn so much from your reports! Bien hâte de lire à propos de ton prochain voyage

Thanks so much for the trip report. I do enjoy them quite a bit and its really fun to see Kira grow from report to report. She has turned into quite a lovely young lady!

I use Flickr to post with the medium size and that allows my 35 photos per post. Its free and pretty easy to use :flower1:

@Cloe Colton Is Flickr the one that’s going to start charging now too? I thought I read it in someone’s TR.
I guess that’s why I haven’t bothered with a hosting site up to now. Seems a lot of them are turning to subscription fees.

Yes, super annoying! I think 35 images is super annoying too :rotfl2:

Taking pics is the easy part, for me. The hard part is taking pics AND video at the same time. o_O That's my challenge on every trip :P

Very nice! I like what you did there :worship: Tres bien, merci! :goodvibes

It's going the same way as Photo Bucket, sadly :sad2:

What a great trip!! Loved getting to relive it with you!

Thanks! It's been super fun writing it and reliving it :thumbsup2

Yup, you only get 1000 free photos now! :crazy2:

I kind of figured that when PB did it, the others would follow suit :scared:
