Added Trips! Now May, August, October & December!!! What?

And one, being getting my Elf on the Shelf Schedule completed and make sure I have everything for there advent calendar. I seriously keep waiting for Morgan to "figure" things out. And she just keeps going! When did your kids start to catch on? I am pretty sure I asked this last year too. But it's just because I can't believe Morgan still believes!
I went all out with our elf last year just in case it was the last year for Jimmy to believe (it wasn't...yay, me!) :) I figure some rotten kid in his class will probably spill the beans sooner or later, so this year I'll try to make it super fun again!

Today we switch hotels! We will have to pack up in the AM, so probably won't be rope dropping anything but hopefully we can get out of the room not too late. We will be switching to the POLY!!!!

I totally plan to keep this a secret from the girls. And think that the Tinkerbell Gift for this morning will have to be Hawaiin themed to give them the big reveal!
That is an incredible idea!!!!

(And maybe another Lapu Lapu for mommy)
Yes, please! I'll have one, as well :)

I think I was 9 or 10 when I finally found out the truth. Unfortunately my grandma accidentally did it - we did Easter at their house and in the morning the Easter Bunny set out eggs, but he always color coded them so my siblings and I got the same amount (and also sometimes there were different treats depending on who it was). In the afternoon my cousin came over and we were outside and found more eggs, but I thought they were leftover from the morning, so was trying to make sure the color coding was respected. My grandma pulled me inside and said that "this was the one she set out in the afternoon, not the one my mom had set out in the morning". Of course I was like - My mom! It was the Easter Bunny! And it all unraveled from there!

But did you see the Stitch on the shelf this year? So cute!

I'm sad about your easter bunny story!! I found out about the bunny first and then it occurred to me that Santa was next :( So disappointing!

Is Stitch from the Disney store?! How fun!!!

I know! I just keep thinking this is the last year. And it just keeps going and going. I will share my schedule again, once I get to it! Let me know if you come up with some good ideas!

Oh NO!!!! That is sad. But as a parent I know how that happens, it comes out of your mouth as your brain is saying NO Don't say that!

I did see this! But I don't need another thing to hid or do! I do like it, It's just to late for us.

Plans sound good! Kind of wish I had a trip planned during Festival of the Arts since I spent barely any time there last year :(
So Elf on the Shelf :headache: Not a fan lol! We got one thanks to my sister  when the boys were 10 and 7 so Ricky never believed, but was immediately freaked out as was I-too many killer doll horror movies. Chris on the other hand believed until he was 11, and then still requested I put the darn thing out last year when he was 12 even though he knew it was me! I did it of course because I loved that he still wanted to be a kid so to speak, but am very happy that Elf will be staying in the closet this year.

Or WILL he...........:scared1:

You could always make it a fun thing. You put him out in a slightly hidden place. Whoever finds him gets to hide him the next night and so on...

Last year I used some of your great ideas as a jumping off point, and then just started using whatever toys, etc. he left out that day. It was actually a lot of fun because it's the first year we really did anything with it at our house. Prior years his elf was at my parents' house because my mom really wanted one and I didn't!! LOL

The August trip we might be able to overlap with Andy's sister and husband. Andy's sister is a music teacher, so they tend to go end of August. So, we were hoping we could overlap with them a bit.
I'm so behind on the boards. But this caught my eye, as our APs will expire at the beginning of Sept, so something in August is on my radar. I'll have to keep up with you!
Ooh yes, go end of August! I love that time of year! And we might just end up going at the same time then. Nathan and I are discussing the possibility of another August trip for 2019. :)
August is on my radar, before Star Wars and our APs expiring 9/1, so I'll be watching for you too!

You could always make it a fun thing. You put him out in a slightly hidden place. Whoever finds him gets to hide him the next night and so on...
I could, except I'd still have to remember to move him every night. And usually I wouldn't remember until I was in bed, almost asleep :faint: And Ricky really wants no part of it because it creeps him out lol! Me to really. I love horror movies and so many of the ones from the 80's, especially smaller, lesser known ones, had killer dolls. Every morning I expect to wake up and find him in a different place than I put him, until sometime in the middle of the night I wake up and he's sitting on my chest :rotfl2:

All of our plans have me so excited for our trip which I have absolutely no plans for :P We leave the day before you (Casey's birthday!!!!) and come back a day earlier. Still can't believe we'll be down there at the same time.

Well, my and Kari will be there at the same time.... Maybe you should plan plan a short trip! Well, we do come at the VERY end of it. And we have actually been there both of the first two years and the food is just meh, so far.

We got one thanks to my sister  when the boys were 10 and 7 so Ricky never believed,
See, I think it is soooo wrong to give someone the elf. You have to choose to do that yourself!

I like the idea of getting the girls into it. I am hoping that once Morgan does figure it out I can have one year where she helps me hid it for Gwen. We will see.

Thanks! I have been saving pintrest pins here and there. I also ordered some props this year! I am waiting for them to come in! The girls are getting older, so we don't have as many toys laying around, which makes it a little harder.

August is on my radar, before Star Wars and our APs expiring 9/1, so I'll be watching for you too!
We can have a triple meet up!!!

And usually I wouldn't remember until I was in bed, almost asleep
This is exactly why I make the schedule. The first year I would have to figure out what to do and I was have asleep!

I am too! After the new year, we will have to figure out potential times to meet up. But we can def play it by ear that week!

Wait! You are leaving Disney ON Casey's Birthday!!! Poor girl! I hope you have some time in the park that day!

Is it bad, that I am slightly afraid that our theory that Casey and Gwen will get along will be crushed when the actually meet in person?

Happy Friday Everyone!

The girls are off here in New Jersey for NJ teacher training aka Jersey Week for Disney. So, we are chill'n at home. I have been fighting some mean allergies. Yesterday I felt like I had a full on cold! I just need all of the leaves to fall off the trees and the frost to come.

I have gotten a good start on the girls advent calendar items, I always collect the majority of the stuff these days, as I have someone watching the girls usually. So, I am feeling pretty good about that. Next weekend we head up to my friends for friendsgiving! Which I can't believe is already. Life is starting to def move fast!

So, I only have a minor update. I talked to Andy about the idea of the DAH Event, and he was totally on board with it! So, I am going to book that eventually. It doesn't seem like it sells out until the week before. And I think I will have to call, it doesn't want to give me the annual pass discount online, which I assume is because the AP isn't activated yet. I will def book it before a week before.

I think I will keep our Poly day a true resort day. And then the day we check out of the Poly, we can swim in the morning, maybe head to Animal Kingdom around noon, ride FOP & Kali, then check in at Riverside. Rest some more before heading to Magic Kingdom for Disney After Hours Event!

I am planning to buy Disney Gift cards from BJ's for the next AP purchase. They have been doing an 8% off the cards, so I am hoping to grab that. Even if it is just 2 or 4% it's something!

That is really all I have. I need to figure out Tinkerbell Gifts and the shirt situation at some point! But I think I have a good enough plan for fast pass day! Which makes me feel better, as I have a million things to do between now and then!

Wait! You are leaving Disney ON Casey's Birthday!!! Poor girl! I hope you have some time in the park that day!
Yes, but the alternate would have been she was in school all day. Sadly she won't get a park day as she and I aren't leaving until the afternoon. Jason is going by himself in the morning to register for the races. Then to make matters worse I'll make her go to bed early because she is doing the Princess 5K the next morning. But I have hoop scheduled (yes I do have 1 thing planned) for the next day.

Is it bad, that I am slightly afraid that our theory that Casey and Gwen will get along will be crushed when the actually meet in person?
One never knows, but Casey generally gets along with just about everybody so hopefully they will realize they are destined to be BFFs :-)

Oh man me too. I thought for sure last weekend a cold had descended on me but thankfully it started to clear up this week.

You are so far ahead of me. If I remember to get Casey a chocolate advent calendar from Trader Joe's before the middle of December we are doing good :P

I didn't know they did the AP discounts? Any idea what that price is?

I was thinking you were leaving Disney on her birthday. Going to Disney on her birthday is MUCH better! Don't you have 2? Did you book Cali brunch too? Hoop will be fun!

i want to say it is $95 instead of the $129.

Ha! I create these problems for myself. I think this will be cute and we do it one year and then the longer we do it the more tiring it gets! Between the elf and and the advent calendar, December is exhausting! I may or may not have ordered a wine advent "calendar" for myself this year... I am waiting for it to still ship, but I am super excitied about it.

Totally forgot this is Jersey Week! And I have clients there too lol. I give you so much credit for doing "special" advent calendars, I just do the chocolate ones (which nobody complains about lol).

And I'm jealous you're doing DAH, so far they've never had it when I'm there! We are doing our first EMM this month but I'd be more excited about DAH.

I did have California Grill too but another friend decided to join us for the races and couldn't get the ADR adjusted. Its playing havoc on our hotel plans too, but that is a whole other story I haven't figured out yet

Now that is something that I need!!!!!!!! Thankfully Jason usually takes care of the elf (and you'll be shocked t know takes it way overboard).

DAH def sounds more like something your boys would be into. It actually works out since they close so early, it's not even that late for us!

I knew you would like the idea of the wine advent. I will post a pic once I get it!

You will have to share some of his best work! I always need ideas!

Seems like such a fun trip you have planned! I agree with keeping your Poly day a true resort day. I feel like even the quickest of stops to a park become such a production! Might I suggest maybe doing breakfast at Ohanas as a fun start to the day? Or even just Kona for breakfast?

We've done both before when staying at the Poly and makes for such a relaxed and fun start to the morning! And if you do get the TIW card, breakfast at Kona isn't much more than a quick service breakfast!

I have a Kona breakfast booked. We ate there a long time ago and I loved the eggs benedict and would love to try the mimosa flight.

I had Ohana but the food itself just seems ok to us and Stitch is not a huge draw for my girls. If they had Stitch's alien friend Angel, we would HAVE to go. But they could take or leave Stitch.

I didn't know they have a mimosa flight! I'll have to get it the next time I'm there!

I think Kona will be perfect then! Ohana has had such a crazy wait lately even for breakfast so I think you'll be much happier and not feeling like you're missing out on pool time
