Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

Thank you all! We plan to be at DS until after dinner time - we have a dinner reservation at 5pm, so it would be after that before we got back to BWV anyways. I really appreciate the replies!
For the DP, you should be just fine since it's supposed to start on your BWV check in day. We've done split stays with 2 DDPs and we had to use up all the credits on the first before switching to the second. You only have one plan so you should be fine.

I'd recommend checking out at the desk at POR. They can call BWV and let them know you are coming. It probably won't get you a room any earlier, but it should help make things smoother. They should also be able to verify that the DDP is active and ready to be used.

Does anyone know if garden view rooms at the Boardwalk Inn have Keurig coffee pots yet?

We were there last month and yes, they have Keurig coffee pots.

I was asking about non-club level garden view Boardwalk Inn rooms.
We just stayed non-club level on the Inn side......on the 4th floor. It was supposed to be "garden view" but we actually overlooked part of the Boardwalk. The garden view we had was where they set up the blow up movie screen. In any case, they did not have Keurigs in our room......we had the standard 2 cup pod coffee machines in our room. The only Keurig we saw was when we checked into the Grand Floridian for one night at the end of our trip.

Thanks for checking it out.

Does anyone know if the BW gift shop sells distilled water? My husband uses a Cpap machine and is supposed to use distilled water in it.

Hello, for anyone who has recently taken the boat from bwi to the studios, do you know if the studios boat dock is located in the same spot since the new construction? Once you gt off the boat, is the walk the same as it was before the construction to the entrance of the studios from the dock? Tia

Used boat to get to HS at least 4 times earlier in October. Same exact location

Only thing changed about the boats right now are the numbers using it. So many are scared off from walking after reading the blogs and other posts talking about how horrific the walk is now the numbers riding are significantly higher. Instead, they opt to stand and wait, many in the heat as the cover is not that long, 30+ min for a boat, often times needing 2 boat cycles to get on. Compared to a walk that takes at the most 20 min.

Just switched over to a Standard Room at BWI for my one night pre-cruise in Feb (was in AOA)! It’s pricier, yes, but since my plan is Epcot all day - Festival of the Arts and gotta get an Illuminations viewing in since no one knows what “late summer” means to Disney (my flight is scheduled to land around 9:30am) it just makes sense to stay in an Epcot-area resort. Getting a Bon Voyage Breakfast ADR just sealed the deal.

Super excited for my first stay here!

I assume you needing leaving DHS. We were on line where it extended out of the cover sheet it turned and I'd say 20 people more and we still made it on first time.

They're gonna need a bigger boat.

That's shorter than any line I saw during our two trips since the closure. It went well past the benches up the hill
Still takes less time to walk even if you get on the boat

Just checked out of our studio villa today, and very sad to leave! BWI is great, I would definitely stay again. The location is tough to beat (although we've never stayed at a monorail hotel), the boardwalk was great, and the community hall was a favourite with the kids (along with the pool). One staff member in particular that worked the hall, Noah, was fantastic and made the stay much more magical! This was the third DVC room we've had and it's my favourite by far (AKL and SSR are the others).

I loved being able to walk to both Epcot and HS, as it made transportation so much easier.

If you were in a studio villa, you stayed at BWVillas, not BWInn. The Inn is all hotel rooms.

Really glad to hear it. To me, terms like BWI/BWV can be confusing, but you made a special trip to stay there and it sounds like it was magical. We've stayed at AKL and think it's wonderful, too, but like the Epcot resorts so much that we've been doing a split say AKL and Beach Club. LOVE the easy excess to World Showcase/ Epcot!

Glad you had a great stay, disneyfan123!!!

When staying at the Boardwalk Inn, where are the closest locations to purchase refilllable mugs and get coffee in the morning? Thanks for your help.

You purchase them at the Boardwalk Bakery. Can refill them there, at Bellvue Lounge off the lobby or at the Pool bar, Leaping something or other.
