Slinky Dog FastPass??

So, the website said I could start booking my FastPass+ selections at 6am my time on Tuesday of this week. I was up and ready at 5:45am. The first one I tried to do was Slinky Dog, and it said "no more fast passes available". How is this possible? I've checked back numerous times and it still says the same thing. Was anyone else able to book it?

Other Guests with earlier check-in dates, regular and Club Level, can book their FPs up to 30 days before your window even opens.

Most posters can book SDD for the 4th or 5th day of their trip. Guests with shorter trips are having difficulties.

As pp mentioned, guests with a checkin day before yours, got the FPs.
Keep checking as they do become available. Especially a few days before to the day of as people cancel.
We were able to get one at 60+3 and 60+6, but not at 60 or 60+1

When I planned our Thanksgiving week trip (for 4), I didn't even bother looking for FoP and Slinky until day 7 and 8 of our trip. They may have been out there earlier, but by planning them for our last two days, I was able to not only get them, but get the exact times I wanted as well.

If your trip is shorter than that, unfortunately preferred times, and even whole dates, are not going to be available because people that have earlier check-in dates gobble them up before you get a chance.

From the FP FAQ, Post #3:
- Onsite guests can book FPs for their entire stay, for as many days as they have tickets for. The maximum number of days is at least 14—reliable data beyond this number is unclear. Practically speaking, this means FPs can be booked for more than 70 days away.

Yep, I booked my FP yesterday morning and knew SDD wouldn't be available on my HS day (60+3), and we're only a party of 3. I'll keep checking in hopes of snagging one before our trip, but realistically not expecting anything until possibly day-of. And if we don't get one, we'll plan to hop in line just before closing.

Just to clarify FP+ starts at 7am eastern.

Its possible because other people booked it before you.

I'd keep checking because people change their plans so you might snag one.

My trip is only 5 days long, and there were no SDD FP+ available for the entire duration. I looked at 60+4 first, and nothing.

I agree with the folks who say to keep looking. It seems like several have popped up for people, after the date of their initial booking.

Keep checking, and if you get to Disney, check day before and say of too. We happened to check and see what was available on the day we left (we didn’t have any plans and just wanted to see), I hit refresh for maybe 5-10 minutes consistently and tons of green alien and toy story mania popped up. Towards the end of 5-10 minutes I ended up getting a slinky dog fastpass for an hour later and snagged that.

Yeah, I've saved a FastPass selection for that day...hoping to snag one closer to the day we're going to HS or even the day of. Crazy that they were all gone...we're staying on property, so I was at my 60 day window.

I am not a fan of the "inequity" of the FP system basically giving a huge advantage to those with longer stays. It causes frustration (and confusion) to those like the OP here who doesn't realize there are hundreds of guests making Fast Passes way before they even get a chance.

I got a SDD Fast Pass for the 5th day of my trip (the last day) and the earliest time I could get it for was like 1:00 PM .. simply because people who had 6, 7, 8, 9, or even 10 day trips could make a Fast pass for that day days before I could. If I wanted to go to Hollywood Studios any earlier in my trip, I probably would not have been able to get a FP for it all.

I would rather make Fast Passes for my trip each morning for several consecutive days than worry about arranging your days so the parks with the "highly desirable" fast passes are at the end of your trip.
Everyone should have the same chance at getting a Fast Pass for any given day if you are logging in first thing.

Question -
What is the best way to "keep looking" for a Fast Pass?

Since I already have my Fast Passes booked for my DHS day.
Star Tours - 9:30 - 10:30
Frozen - 11:00
SDD - 12:40 - 1:40.

How can I check for availability for SDD for earlier since it won't tell me anything in the morning is available (since I already have FPs booked for most of the morning hours and they system won't let you overlap Fast Passes).
So without cancelling my Star Tours or Frozen FPs .. how can I check if SDD FP for the morning "opens up"?

I don't think you can. Initially, I couldn't get SDD, so I booked Alien Saucers instead along with RnRC and TOT for our HS morning. Once I realized I wouldn't be able to see any SDD that overlapped at all with the Tier 2s, I canceled them all and booked FP over at Epcot for the afternoon. A day or two later, I found SDD and switched everything back to DHS.

FYI, you don't really need a star tours fast pass at 9:30, since it is more or less walk-on for the first hour after park opening. Ditto for Frozen, which you never need a fastpass for anyway because there is LOTS of standby seating. So if moving SDD is really important to you, I'd just cancel those two. That said, the odds of getting an earlier time for SDD are very low, so if I were you I would just keep the time. Don't forget they will usually allow you on 5 minutes before / 15 minutes after your FP window, so if you are worried about lunch time overlap with your SDD window, you do have a little wiggle room.

I booked 60+4 and could only get an evening slot. Also booked another one for later in our trip at 60+8 and could get an early morning slot. Booking further out for your trip definitely works better.

Ya .. I know I don't need a Star Tours Fast pass or Frozen one .. but when travelling with a 2 year old, 6 year old, wife and 2 grandparents ... we aren't going to be hitting the ONLY other rides at the park (RnR and Tower of Terror) .. so there really is nothing else "worth" getting a FP for.

My "hope" was to get an early SDD FP and just do all of TSL early in the morning. That didn't work despite doing DHS on the last day of our trip.

So my plan now is to hit one of the TSL rides at rope drop .. and go do Star Tours and Frozen . .then come back to TSL for SDD in the afternoon (unless I can get one earlier).

My hope is just to have those all done early so I can make a 4th fast pass for myself for RnR or ToT (as I would be the only one riding it) later in the afternoon.

That's what stinks about DHS still .. if you aren't planning on going on RnR and ToT .. really nothing else 'worth' getting a FP for.
