We’re going the first of November. I have checked every day for park hour changes. Wondering if these are the times or if they will be extended.

There’s a bit of a trend of following month calendar updates happening on the second or third Friday of the month before. I’d keep an eye on things later today to see if we see a bigger update covering November.

Of course, patterns are meant to be broken as well. :-)

I’ve been stalking the site today expecting to see the change!
***actually expecting the change next Friday. Got ahead of myself!****

I've been stalking for the same! We've gone in November the past two years as well -- in 2016, November hours were updated the first Friday in October and last year, they were updated the second Friday in October.

Good to know. I've been going nuts about December hours. I know in general they are updated 3-6 weeks out but I think they already updated late December in like late October last year so I was hoping for possible extended hours to pop up for early December sooner rather than later.
Now I have a tip as far as when to check the calendar.

Like I said, patterns aren’t always reliable, but for the last few months the ‘bigger’ following month updates have occurred:

5/11
6/15
7/13
8/10
9/14

All of which were Fridays. They generally covered the following month plus a few days into the next month.

And of course, things were/are updated here and there closer to the actual dates in question for some parks as well.

It’s a frustrating process! :upsidedow:upsidedow:upsidedow

It's exciting to keep checking! Means we are getting close to the trip! I am specifically watching 11/9 - Friday - Party day at MK. If the pattern continues like the past two years, park will open at 7 am for EMH. We will be there by 6:45 and everything is still light up from the night before! Last year we did this and we were the first riders of the day on Pooh, Little Mermaid and meeting Ariel. Highlight of the trip! (and this was also on the same day we transferred from AKL to BLT). Taxi picked us up at 6:00 am, we dropped our bags and walked on over. My son lost his tooth on that cab ride over, and of course, that was the highlight of his trip! We were pretty tired by the end of the day. But I want a repeat!

The frustrating thing about them waiting so late to update them is that it's done within the 30 day FP window. So, the onsite resort guests, who are supposed to be receiving the benefit of earlier FPs, have to fight everyone else for the extra FP time-slots made available when hours are extended.

You're paying premium price to stay at the Grand Floridian and want to ride FoP or Slinky, but were unable to get a FP at 60 days? Here's an extra hour of FPs for you to schedule something? Oh, wait, the party of 24 staying at the offsite hotel beat you to it? So, sorry. There is always rope drop.

I'm very interested in 11/10. Last year it was open until midnight with EMH until 2 am. Right now it closes at 9 pm. I really want that night extended!!

11/3 was extended to 10 pm a few weeks ago. I believe last year that same Saturday was extended to 11 pm. It worries me that they won't extend hours as late this year. I mean they could do another extension for the weekend of 11/3. Who knows.

We were there too last year. I had all hopes of dropping kids off back at BLT with hubby and going back to MK by myself but I was beat! And man it was crowded!

Just noticed that Magic Kingdom was extended on Dec. 1 from a 9pm closing to 11 pm. Got the notification through Touring Plans. I am anxiously awaiting Saturday Nov. 24 for Animal Kingdom. Stalking for an FoP FP. But anyway, I have a related question. Dec. 1 is our last day before leaving on Dec. 2. The plan was to do Disney Springs, then head over to Magic Kingdom for .3:45 Crystal Palace, then we have 3 FPs for Tomorrowland attractions, have dinner at Casey's Corner, then watch the fireworks to end our trip. Well, the extended hours makes me wonder how that affects fireworks show times. Does it extend it back 2 hours, so now we have time to fill around the Main Street area before the fireworks while still saving our viewing spot (that is a lot of dead time)? Or do they run a second fireworks show, one at 9 then another at 11? Or do they keep it the same (fireworks at 9) and just close up the park at 11, so we could ride things after fireworks without worrying about saving viewing spot?

Thanks!

Good eyes. Actually a lot of Dec updates it seems. MK AM EMHs all Christmas week. MK 12AM closings all Christmas week. Several other later closings in the month too.

They keep the fireworks time the same. It is still listed at 9 PM for Dec 1 on the calendar.

I'm hoping for some hour extensions Nov 19, 20, and 21 but my 30 day FP window doesn't start until Oct 20 so maybe right around then would be good!

My belief is that your last answer is correct. The fireworks will stay as is at 9 p.m. and then there will just be two extra hours of part-time for everyone. I can't recall when there is ever been to firework shows in the evening back when they used to have night time parades there would be sometimes two of those but never the fireworks.

Yep just saw MK hours extended on 12/8. Too bad I'm going om 12/10. Hoping for HS to be extended on 12/8 in the AM 0referrably.

Hard for me to believe they'd make relatively big Dec changes today but not touch Nov's rather paltry posted hours at the moment. I'll never understand Disney. :-)
