Is anyone planning on paying for Reunion Station for an upcoming trip?

Just a great example of when Disney is offering something that not enough people are finding value in and not ponying up the cash, they make an adjustment.

I had to chuckle when I received the latest Disney Files. One of the articles says "Reunion Station at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is being hailed as a "new Disney gem.""

Thanks for posting your update. Was the wine all you cared to enjoy? Did you happen to notice the beers they served? I love a good glass of red wine, but DH is a beer drinker and I notice they offered the beer too.

Personally, it isn't something I would normally do but for $50 if the beer and wine is all you care to enjoy I can do some serious damage in that period of time. When you pay over $8 for a beer and $14+ for a glass of wine on Disney property that adds up pretty quick, and then add in the "snacks" when bar food also costs $10+++ then consider your cost for breakfast at another $10+. Two or Three drinks, a couple plates of snacks and breakfast you've gotten your $50 worth pretty quick.

Thank you for any update you have :-)

Sorry for the delay in replying. Yes, all you care to enjoy! Of course, the selections will likely change from time to time, but here’s what was recently offered:

Wine: Chateau Ste Michelle Sparkling Wine; Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling; Milbrandt Traditions BabernetSauvignon; Wild Hills Pinot Noir.

Beer: Full Sail Session Pale Lager; Rogue Dead Guy Ale; Elysian Splitshot Stout; Jai Alai India Pale Ale.

Was the beer/wine only from 4-6?

Awesome!! Also, Can you please share some of the evening hot apps?

There’s a soup of the day; stews; pastas; salads. I know there’s a set menu and that Friday evening is a shrimp dish! I m sorry I don’t have access to that information anymore. It’s definitely enough for a full meal though.

This is still vastly overpriced IMO. I’ve seen the breakfast, why not a full cooked selection? The food is generally cheap to prep items. Nowhere near as good as say AKL of GF Club IMO. The wines are $15 a bottle or so at best.
Unless you are going to neck a ton of wine and beer in a 2 hour slot (not appealing to me at all) you are never going to get value from this at $100 a couple.
What really irks me about this is that rather than trying to supply a decent service and make a bit of money off it, whoever is pricing it hoped members would be daft enough to spend hundreds of dollars a day with 2 kids for all their vacation. They failed. But they still leave it poor value, again hoping members will bite.
If they had it $30 or even $35 it would be v popular, I suggest almost full, they’d have a hit, they’d make money, everyone happy, added value.

@RachelTori Thank you so much for the updates. DH would be thrilled with the beers, and I like both the beers and wines you listed. I will look into this more for our next trip.

@Wakey - yes, absolutely the wine is less per bottle if you go out buy it off property and bring it with you, just like the beer. We usually BYOB when we stay and we are FL Res so it's easy. But when we stay on property, it is a mini vacation and we almost always end up at a bar as well. Last week we went to the Ale and compass lounge during our stay (3 days this trip). We had a side of fries and a cheese burger with fries, a glass of the Disney exclusive bourbon (which was only $5 more than a well pour) a beer and 2 margaritas... $85 and we were there for 2 hours. So it is not difficult at all to make up the $50 per person if you compare it that way.

This is definitely not something for everyone. I equate it to paying the extra cost for concierge on a Disney cruise - personally I don't see what you get that makes the extra worth twice the price of a regular fair, but people do find it worth the money since the rooms sell out almost every cruise. Some people don't mind the splurge, others do, and $50 per person for one day is for me personally is an amount I would be willing to spend to give it a try. And as others have said - it is all personal opinions and Mine is it might be worth it to try. Since we stay usually one to two days per trip, I may look at it for our next trip since we can get a couple meals out of it as well. Time will tell. After all this DVC could change it again before we come back. ;)

And I have to say I like Geyser Point - its a nice bar to sit outside at compared to some of the other outside bars on property.

We have spent a similar amount when sitting in the bar at Geyser Point. The snacks and few drinks add up in a couple of hours. Perhaps on a resort day we should consider Reunion Station. Considering to get a CL room at AKV you are spending 2 - 9 points more per night for a studio which is the cheapest cost and for a 1BR up to 12 points per night more for a room with a limited view compared to other AKV 1BRs just for club level privileges. Points today are easily renting for $15-$18 or more per night so those privileges are pretty expensive for a couple.

It is my understanding that club level cash rooms at GF or Poly easily run $200 more per night. I don't see how that is a bargain either.

Is the Reunion Station "add-on" still just for guests at CCV or BRV? Wondering if that also changed when they eliminated the requirement for it to be every day of your stay.

I’m renewing my AP’s as I’m typing, so I asked the CM I’m speaking to...

She said it used to be exclusive to CCV and BRV, but is now open to all DVC Members staying at other Disney resorts.

Just did it last week for a one night stay. We went feon 4 to 6 and had a meal and 3 or 4 deinks each. Then went the next morning for breakfast before heading to cruise port. The staff was lovely and took great care of us. There was only one other family, couple with 2 young kids, in the evening. Talked to them and they were there for like 10 nights and had RS all 10 nights. I felt we got $100 worth but on a typical stay where we have ADRs, we would not. Nor would our 2 under 21 kids get a good value out of it. And funny thing is DH said he thought it should be offered to all DVC and any people or any number of nights...not all guests in room for all nights they had it at. And we see they now have changed it to a piecemeal add. Good idea.
