Did anyone else have trouble making their FP+ reservations today? Took me about an hour to schedule our 7 days worth, with both the app and the website repeatedly crashing. I cannot help but think how insanely frustrating the process must be to those who aren't computer savvy (like my 70 year old parents) or to the first time visitor. I really REALLY detest FP+. There was ONE available time for FOP that we are stuck with that will now turn our leisurely dinner at Boma into a clock watching mad-dash. Yeah...I'll keep check back for better times. I know how to play the game...I just don't LIKE the game.

Was MDE a problem for everyone today or just me?

Our FP window opens tomorrow and my son (think computer savvy) can only see me and it doesnt show him on the resort reservation so it says his window is only 30 days out???
The tech support is horrible.
I don't like the game and I would rather just go and enjoy myself, but can't without all this crap.
 
It is has been having problems for a while now, and I heard that Tuesdays are specifically worse than the other days of the week. Our FP day was on a Tuesday last month, and it was the most horrible experience I have ever had and I am computer savvy.

His window is 30 days out until tomorrow when his window expands to 60-days at 7:00a ET. It’s based on the resort check-in date not just an arbitrary 60 days.
 


My window opened today and I got everything I wanted! (FOP and SDD especially thank goodness)
I did mostly have to use the app though, even with an incognito chrome browser the website would NOT work for me.
If I have to see that Olaf one more time!!! :headache:
And then those little spurts of NEITHER the app or website working and then 5 min later they'd come back up.

I sure hope everyone else got what they wanted today :worried:
 
There are always problems with it. It crashed repeatedly on our FP+ window day too and the app was completely useless when we were actually in the parks. The app was so slow (when it worked at all) and constantly crashed. They really should make improvements given how much it costs to even enter the parks at this point.
 
Today was my day as well and I got about 80% of what I wanted after much frustration and multiple crashes. Now it's up to the modify>refresh gods. I'll be checking daily. Sometimes they burp out a few blocks of Fast Passes inside the 60 day window. They need a better or at least more robust system.

Took me 90 minutes to book for my upcoming 8 day trip. I have used MDE several times in the past and never had any issues with it but this morning it was an absolute mess. It took the enjoyment out of planning that I usually get and has just made me even more excited about my DLR trip next year
 
Today was my day as well and it sucked for me. It took an hour to make 7 days of passes for 3 people. It kept crashing every other FP. I would have a great choice, go to close on it and BAM! crash! Then the choice would be gone. I lost out on several top choices like that. It was very frustrating. If I hadn't bought EMM for MK and HS and know we will get to ride SDD and the mine train coaster that way, I would be upset this morning.
 
It took me 90 minutes to make reservations yesterday and I always feel they do updates at the worst times... I will say it wasnt as bad as getting tickets to the Disneyland Vacation Club event! That was horrendous.

Unfortunately for me, my upcoming fastpass day is a Tuesday. I hope it's sorted by then!
 
I'm sad that it wasn't just me...but also glad it wasn't just me, know what I mean? I was ready to do battle too LOL. I had my laptop and my phone app ready and had to keep switching between them to get any functionality. I knew it would be slim pickin's for Slinky Dog and FOP but really?? Only ONE available FP time for the entire day (there are only 2 of us)?? And it was towards the end of our trip.

As far as everything else, we got times that I wanted or could work with by the end of the hour.

I'm glad DH and I worked our DVC points so that we'll have enough to stay onsite next December (as opposed to our plan for an offsite cash stay) otherwise we would have no hope for a Star Wars to.
 
I didn't have any issues today around 8am on the computer. My sister struggled a little with the app right at 7am, but still got two FOP and a Slinky.

Well if the resort reservation isn't showing up on his MDE not sure it will suddenly change tomorrow.
Spending over 3 hours with three different "some one's"--maybe tech support, who knows, and getting different answers and the "I don't know what that cast member said but..." doesn't give me much hope. And it's not feeling very magical right now. The last girl I got I just had to say if you don't know then just say that. Just be honest with me.

Ours was 9-26, a Wednesday, and the site was down for much of the 7-8am hour. I wasn't too frustrated because we got all of the FPs we wanted (FOP was gone as always). Luckily I had an hour dedicated to the process, because I had to refresh over and over again waiting for the page to come back online(I work in IT and thats literally THE WORST thing you can do to an overloaded web page, but of course I don't want to lose my FPs. So refresh I did). I assume its down for everyone else then as well, so its not like you are losing your FPs to others, but its a little anxiety inducing after waiting for he day to come for so long.
 
I dread using MDE when I actually there. Should I print off my a list of my FP’s and the couple AFR’s I have?
 
Tuesdays are worse, I have all but confirmed that via conversations with a couple of vacation planners. It sounds like to me they probably have some sort of automated batch job or script that runs on Tuesdays that is causing MDE to not function properly. It really should be an easy fix to figure it out if you have an experienced IT department, which at this point I am not sure Disney does. That or they are not being made aware of these issues.
