"Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic

Yes. We use this time to either eat, ride with FP or line up for special characters. Not a great time to just “meander” without a plan!

This. We typically stay at MK all day prior to the party and always make sure to have FP lined up for when the party crowd starts to enter. After we knock out our rides, we decide which character we want to wait for first and head there. Last party we opted to wait for Scrooge and Donald so we ate dinner while waiting over by Casey Jr. it was a nice little break before the party began without feeling like we were "wasting time".

We are going to the December 16th party! Our first Christmas party! (We are also doing not so scary Halloween in 2 weeks! We've done it a few times) what characters are available for meet and greet at the Christmas party? I'm trying to decide if I should keep my reservation at BOG to hopefully meet beast, or if he will be available with belle at the Christmas party. (That's a rumor I've heard). We go to Disney a couple of times a year and I've never met beast, and I was hoping to this year.

Just locked in November 9!!! Last major task is to decide on matching family shirts!!!

My daughter, granddaughter and I will be there that night too!

I have never been to a Christmas party so I’m really looking forward to it. DD went a couple years ago with her DH and loved it. Funny thing, DD and I planned our trip then later found out my granddaughter will also be there with a group of 16 friends but none wanted to go to the party so she is going with us!

Can’t wait, we leave in 28 days!

I haven’t heard that rumor. Beast only at BoG. See Post #1, detailed list of characters & attire. Will update when 2018 details are released.

Me, too!!! Somehow I missed this post. When I saw others posting about it in later posts, I scrolled back to find it. I am super excited. My niece just got back from an MNSSHP and said it was so nice to be able to see the afternoon parade.

Did my FP+ this morning.
Here is my plan for 12/09
Space Mountain FP+ 3:30pm-4:30pm.
COP
SDMT FP+ 4:30pm-5:30pm.
Mickey's Philharmagic
Jingle Cruise FP+ 5:30pm-6pm.

We will then do a few more attractions working our way back over to Tomorrowland.
Eat at Cosmic Ray's.

After that just enjoy the party atmosphere with treats and fireworks.

How did you book your FP+ for 12/09 as it's 62 days away? I ask as I am going that night as well.

Most likely arriving 12/7 and not going to party until 12/9 with onsite reservations.

My 60 days was today so I booked for my whole trip.

Is anyone concerned about all the reports of this years MNSSHPs being grossly oversold?

We have never been to either of the parties, and were all set to book this years MVMCP , but now I am worried.
That's a lot of extra money to spend only to end up disappointed.

I'm not worried. I went to MNSSHP and it did not see terrible.
Then again I'm more into the rides and general atmosphere and don't care about waiting in line fo ed characters.
I think the meet and greets is where the "disappointment" and "oversold" parties come in. It all depends on the reason that you're attending in my opinion as to if you think it's too crowded or not worth it.
I think it also depends on the type of crowd you're used to.

I got my Fast Passes today! I went old school - Pirates, Jungle/Jingle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. I figured by the time we get out of HM around 6:00 we can go straight into the Sandy Claus line.

I did want to ask for some advice though. My POTC FP ends at 4:10 pm. Should I be in line to get in at 3:00 to make sure we are one of the first ones in the park?

I think that is what I'm most excited for... our other MK day they will be showing the Christmas Parade already, so we would have missed the normal one. It is one of my favorites. It will make it definitely feel like a lot of time in the park.

You would think so, but it was late last year too. Also, some MNSSHP info wasn't released until week before and after 1st party.

I don't think you need to get there quite as early as 3. They do typically have a grace period of 15 min after the end of your fastpass time. You may face quite a line for sandy claus by 6.
