A Spell Casting, Rocking, Terrible Twos, B'day Disney Exploration – May '18 TR & Sept '18 Mini TR

I love seeing pics of people spinning with Alice!!! So glad you were able to get in position early enough despite the chatty security guard!!

He now says his favorite part is the mine part and he never wants to ride again.

Your description of this ride matches my son's first ride on 7DMT exactly. In fact, we have the same panic stricken, arm clenching picture together, as well!!

Have a most magical trip!!!! :)

We're back!

First, we had a great time.
Second, we are exhausted.
Third, we never want to go when it's hot again.

So, in this post and the next, I'm going to share pics of our rooms. We resort hopped every day which was interesting all in itself. Then, once I have time, I'll try to do some short highlights of our favorite parts of each day - including lots of pics of course.

Our first resort was Beach Club. I didn't take pics of it because we stayed there last time and I already have pics of it. They'll be coming soon in an update of this current TR. I actually thought we had the exact same room as last time but C says we were up a little higher last time. I will say that we like the resort. The pool is of course great and the proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is very nice - the main reason we booked here this time. But it doesn't feel like "home" to us.

Our second stay was Bay Lake Tower (Theme Park View) (pics below). The view was wonderful - the main reason we picked it. The proximity to Magic Kingdom was the second reason we picked it. But again, it doesn't feel like "home". We were a little concerned with lack of space from what we'd read about it. But, it turned out to not be an issue with us - maybe due to such a brief stay. One mini complaint was we only had 2 large towels. We didn't realize it until after I showered. Then when C went to shower, he didn't have a dry towel (the boys shared one because D doesn't really dry off. One body swipe and he says he's dry :confused3). We were so tired that we didn't bother calling housekeeping or anything.

image.jpeg

I liked this little nook but it was really tight with more than one person in there. Not really an issue for us though.
image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Beautiful view. Yes, we saw the fireworks. Pics to come in my mini TR within a TR.

*Third resort update in next post.

Our third night stay was at Copper Creek (Wilderness Lodge). This one was chosen for two reasons. One, proximity to Magic Kingdom (but alternative transportation besides bus). Two, somewhere new for us to tryout.

This resort did feel like "home". We aren't sure if it's because it is similar in decor and atmosphere to Animal Kingdom Villas or what. We absolutely want to stay here again.

Our room was fabulous! We got one on the end. I'd read on here that it is called an alternate studio. We also had plenty of towels ;). The boys were sad that we didn't get in any pool time. We came in so late from the party that we ended up sleeping so late and just didn't have time. G loved the water view.

Our only complaint would be all of the windows and there being no way to keep more of the sunlight out. C has to have it dark when he sleeps and the morning sun came shining in way too early after our 1:30am bedtime.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg
There was a second TV on the wall opposite of the bed. I forgot to take a picture of it.

In a nutshell :)

Your rooms look lovely! I have never resort hopped (no matter how many times I consider it!) You are so brave to switch resorts so often. Looking forward to reading more!

Just jumped aboard and read the report that posted so far. First off...Roll Tide! Secondly, I love that you're keeping it real and including the melt downs in your report. Once, when we were there in 2008, I put my youngest (who is now 17) in the corner in Pizza Planet after he whined about his food choices. You better believe that made it into the scrapbook :rotfl2:

I looove those photos of G with Mickey! It's like he's meeting his idol!

Can't wait to stay at Copper Creek in a little over 2 months!

:rotfl:Has your son ridden Splash Mountain? I managed to get D on it this last trip :scared1::laughing:. I'll post all about it as soon as I have time.

I think crazy is a better description . We tried to plan and pack accordingly but it was still a bit of a headache. We like checking out the other resorts and we do prefer to budget our points accordingly. So, resort hopping is probably always in our future. I can't say that I ever want to resort hop everyday again, though.

That's the only way I know how to report - the truth! :rotfl2:

I looove those photos of G with Mickey! It's like he's meeting his idol!

It's so sad that he doesn't talk anymore. That made it so much more magical.

Can't wait to stay at Copper Creek in a little over 2 months!

Congrats! I wish we had an upcoming stay there again. I'd love to have more time to check it all out.

Chapter 6: Magic Kingdom - “The Prince of Alabama”

Steps: 20,928

Thank goodness for notes is all I’ve got to say!

According to my notes, the boys slept hard. We were awake at 7 am but they slept a little later. I was awake early because I wanted to RD again. C did not. Therefore we walked into the park right at RD. We headed straight for a particular meet–n–greet but there was no one there so we decided to go see Merida. There was a line but another family had a bubble machine and that entertained both of our boys for a while.

MK_FAIRYTALEGARDENCHAR_20180510_411452726255.jpg MK_FAIRYTALEGARDENCHAR_20180510_411452726917.jpg

Afterwards, D had to stop by to try and pull the sword in the stone out – no luck.

IMG_2757.jpg

Then we headed back to the meet-n-greet we (I) wanted to start with. This time there was a line but no characters. I confirmed we were in the correct place and we waited. In about 10 minutes or so we saw them coming.

MK_CINDERELLAFNTNCHAR_20180510_411452133632.jpg MK_CINDERELLAFNTNCHAR_20180510_411452133618.jpg MK_CINDERELLAFNTNCHAR_20180510_411452133628.jpg MK_CINDERELLAFNTNCHAR_20180510_411452133615.jpg IMG_6042.jpg MK_CINDERELLAFNTNCHAR_20180510_411452133603.jpg

Anastasia asked D where he was from. D said Alabama so she called him “Prince of Alabama” so that she could marry him and then gave him a big ol’ smooch :love1:. She and Drusilla tried so hard to get G to interact with them. He did smile for Anastasia.

Chapter 6 continued…

Next we rode Haunted Mansion, made a stop by the Rapunzel bathrooms, and headed to see Rapunzel & Tiana but it was closed. C checked the app and we all had another multi-experience FP. We asked D what he wanted to do and he said PeopleMover so that’s where we went. G did not care for the dark parts. He curled up beside me every time.

When we got off, it wasn’t quite time for our Buzz FP (and we didn’t want to go too early and risk it using our ME FP) so we checked out the gift shop at the exit. D found a Zurg Shooter he wanted to buy but we made him wait to be sure that is what he really wanted. G had a blast calling out everything he saw. Finally, it was time to ride.

MK_BUZZLIGHTYEARRIDE_20180510_411453628267.jpg MK_BUZZLIGHTYEARRIDE_20180510_411453605210.jpg IMG_6052.jpg

I didn’t snap the picture fast enough. But I will have you know that this was all accomplished one handed!

We stopped to get D’s Zurg shooter and asked them to send it to the front for us to get later. We would have had them send it to our resort but we were checking out the next day to resort hop and they couldn’t promise it would get to the correct place in time.

Finally, it was time for some lunch. We had decided a little earlier to try something new - Casey’s Corner. We had a little issue with finding a table but we managed to find one mostly shaded and C went to order. I don’t remember anyone having any complaints. I think we all enjoyed it, especially for something different but also something everyone would eat.

After lunch (and after watching the ducks (that we did not feed this time, but others did)), we made a stop by the Baby Care Center (love these centers!).

Our next stop was Tom Sawyer Island, or so we thought. As we started to head that way, we heard music and saw people lined up for something. The Move It! Shake It! Celebrate it! Street Party was happening. We managed to find a great spot in the circle in front of the castle to watch. We’d only seen either the very beginning or the very end of it in the past. Needless to say, we were a little surprised when the floats stopped and they got off to dance. It really was a street party!

Check-out what D got to do!

IMG_2766.jpg IMG_2788.jpg IMG_2776.jpg IMG_2778.jpg IMG_2782.jpg IMG_2784.jpg

G joined in a little but he was getting very sleepy at this point. The dancer in the blue/purple grabbed D's hand and had him come out and lead some of the dancing with her. He went willingly – we were wonderfully surprised. He had a blast and we called this a “pixie dust” moment. He even got to get something out of a treasure chest before they loaded back on the floats to leave.

Next, headed to TS Island. We knew G needed to nap but we weren’t sure if strollers could go over to the island. We checked and the answer was no. So C and D went to explore and G and I found a semi-shaded place to chill so he could nap. Thankfully, he did nap.

By the time they got back, I was ready for a cold snack. We stopped by Sunshine Tree Terrace to get: Citrus Swirl for me, Soft-Serve Ice Cream Cup for D, and a Raspberry-Lemonade Slush for C. I shared mine with G.

Chapter 6 continued…

Once we finished it was time for our next FP.

MK_TSFAIRIESBCHAR_20180510_411458290812.jpg MK_TSFAIRIESBCHAR_20180510_411458290816.jpg

G was extremely uncooperative. He was cranky even just waiting the very short time we had to wait. Then he didn’t want to see Tinkerbell. He headed towards her like he was excited and then did a 180.

We walked out after D got his pictures with her and G pitched a fit because he wanted to go see her!

We tried to get him to look at things in the gift shop to calm him down but he would have none of it. We finally walked back around to the entrance and saw the wait was 5 minutes. It was time for the 3:00 parade so that’s where everyone else was. We went back to see Tinkerbell.

MK_TSFAIRIESACHAR_20180510_411458716583.jpg MK_TSFAIRIESACHAR_20180510_411458716591.jpg

This time went much better. Stinker head!

Then we decided to just sit and chill in the air condition while we waited on the parade to come through. They had color sheets out on the tables and Lady and the Tramp playing on the TV. There were comfortable seats available. C and D spent most of the time out on the porch area watching the parade.

Once the parade was over and the crowds somewhat dissipated, we headed to our next FP of Peter Pan (I think this is what we used our ME FP on but i could be mis-remembering). Then D had to ride Small World. My name, D’s name and G’s name (twice) showed up on the screen. At least one of us gets on the screen every time (We think it is because C always carries an extra set of magic bands in his backpack just in case).

Then we did the Carousel which is one of G’s favorites before heading to see C’s favorite princess.

MK_GROTTOBCHAR_20180510_411460741179.jpg MK_GROTTOBCHAR_20180510_411460741188.jpg

Then we rode the ride.

IMG_6062.jpg

Since we missed out on Tiana and Rapunzel earlier, we tried again.

MK_PFTHPURPLED1CHAR_20180510_411461216991.jpg MK_PFTHPURPLED2CHAR_20180510_411463328577.jpg MK_PFTHPURPLED2CHAR_20180510_411463328581.jpg

G refused to cooperate with Tiana. But, he was all about seeing Rapunzel – once D was out of the way.

Chapter 6 continued…

By this time, we were getting close to our ADR – the one that got messed up last time – the one I was determined to be on time for this time – and we were.

IMG_6063.jpg

We checked in a little early and almost immediately were called through the gate. They had some ice water out so we all got a drink. We didn’t wait very long until time to go in. I really wanted to eat in a different room than last time but C didn’t say anything to them. So we were seated just a few tables over from where we were last time. I did get to go exploring this time.

IMG_6068.jpg IMG_6066.jpg IMG_6065.jpg
Sorry for the terrible quality.

I also remembered to put G’s birthday pin out on the table, which paid off.

IMG_2794.jpg

We sang Happy Birthday and helped him blow out his candle.

I don’t really remember what all we ordered. In my notes I have, steak, tenderloin, and mac-n-cheese. I’m thinking C got the steak, I got the tenderloin, and the boys got mac-n-cheese (obviously).

G did keep asking about Beast. We kept telling him we would see him in a little bit. When they did Beast's intro, G would get a little uneasy over the noise/sounds but never got upset.

For dessert, I got my usual Strawberry cupcake, we got two Grey Stuff cupcakes and a Triple Chocolate cupcake. Delicious! Another surprise of the night was a birthday card signed by Belle and Beast.

Finally we finished eating and headed to see Beast. There was a little bit of a line and G was so excited. Then it was our turn and he became uneasy.

MK_BEOURGUESTCHAR_20180510_411463143773.jpg MK_BEOURGUESTCHAR_20180510_411463143770.jpg
I finally managed to get a decent picture with Beast this time. No crazy poses this time!!!

He did touch Beast and then he growled at him.

Finally, it was time to head out. We stopped to get D’s toy and headed to the buses. We waited about 15 mins for a bus.

I also have in my notes that we stopped to get G’s Goofy hat. If I remember correctly, we had it sent to the resort the previous day and were told where/when to pick it up.

We packed up for the move the next day and went to bed.

Day 1: Moonlight Magic Hollywood Studios Part 1

Highlights (Side note – I meant for this to only be highlights but it turned out to be my usual TR length once I got going. Sorry!):

First, I have to tell you about their reaction to the trip. If you’ve been following along, then you may remember that the boys didn’t know anything about this trip. We had kept the packing a secret. After they went to sleep, I moved all of D’s clothes except for the one outfit he needed and we put his new magic band (that we had also kept secret) on top. We also turned his alarm off. The next morning, C and I woke up about 7 (30 or so minutes past normal alarm time) but the boys were still asleep. A few minutes later, D came out of his room looking like this…

IMG_6357.jpg

He was so funny trying to figure out why his magic band was on his clothes. He asked if it was for January. When he finally figured it out, he was so happy. G woke up about 15 minutes later and he was cranky. It took a few minutes to get him chill enough to tell him. Finally he said, “see animals, see water, no dark”. He was talking about Animal Kingdom Villas where we stayed the last time.

Travel to Orlando was uneventful. The boys had their toys, books, etc. and were great on the plane. In fact, security lines were so short at both airports that I think we need to go on weekday’s every time. Coming home, Orlando’s security lines were as bad as they always are when we come home on Saturdays.

We made it to Beach Club where our room was not ready. So we grabbed the stroller from Bell Services and headed to Epcot. C had booked us 3 FPs but we only used one.

On the way to the FP (we were pretty much running because we were about to miss the window completely), we almost passed by a rare character.

IMG_2945.jpg

Louie was out too but the Cast Member told us they were about to head in so we needed to pick one. We’ve met Louie before.

Then we headed to our FP.

EPCOT_CHRCON1_20180919_413341482173.jpg EPCOT_CHRCON2_20180919_413340844833.jpg EPCOT_CHRCON3_20180919_413340950028.jpg

Our second one was for Mission Space but D wasn’t interested. Instead we walked onto Nemo and then checked out the fish a little bit.

Then C got a text that our room was ready so we decided to go drop some stuff off and cool off a minute before heading to HS. IT WAS HOT!!

When we finally headed to HS, it was thundering in the distance and the boats were not running. So we walked. We saw rain clouds up ahead but prayed it wouldn’t be too bad. At one point we went under and overpass and said “If it starts raining, we can come back and wait it out here.” Well, of course it didn’t start raining until we were too far away to turn back. AND IT POURED!!! We got the rain cover on the stroller and ponchos on us but our ponchos were pretty much pointless. G stayed perfectly dry in the stroller but D insisted on getting out and wearing a poncho. It was so windy and raining so hard that we were drenched within minutes. Now, with the construction, there is absolutely no cover from where the buses are to the entrance AND it is miles long!!! Or so it seems. Our shoes were filled with water. I would much rather be drenched from the ankles up than to have waterlogged shoes. It was terrible! And none of us had an extra pair of shoes (we’d packed light this time).

We finally made it to the entrance where we got our party bands and meal vouchers. C had put us down for 4 but we were told by 2 cast members that G didn’t need one (which almost came back to bite us in the rear).

From there we headed to the bathrooms by the Frozen show where we took cover for a bit. C got out the map they gave us so we could figure out our food options. It lightened just a little so we decided to go ahead and go to Backlot Express in hopes they had an indoor eating area. They did but it was crowded. I found a semi-covered place to park the stroller and we went in to order. This is where we had an almost issue. Because they didn’t give us a voucher for G, we almost weren’t able to order him a meal. The cast member finally called over a manager who basically just gave us a free kid’s meal (they had to staple each individual voucher to each receipt and since G didn’t have a voucher, the cast member didn’t know what to do). G was cranky as all get out at this point. He kept running off and scaring me to the point I had to pick him up. Then he just started pitching a fit and screaming. I finally left C to sort it all out while we went to find a table. Thankfully we found one inside and where I could see the stroller (I was afraid it would get moved because I was pretty sure I had parked it where I shouldn’t – but it was fine). C and D had trouble finding us but finally we were able to feed our hungry tummies, cool off, and even dry off a little. By the time we finished, it had stopped raining.

We then headed to see Starlord and Groot because we knew they were leaving for good. This line was a lot longer than we’ve ever seen it and we figured that was why.

STUDIO_ONEMANSDREAMCHAR_20180919_413344302740.jpg
They both love Groot!

Then we headed to the whole reason we went that night.

IMG_6366.jpg IMG_6367.jpg

We immediately got in a fairly short line for….

STUDIO_TOYSTORYLANDBUZZ_20180919_413343481172.jpg

And he signed D’s pillowcase! Previously, we were surprised on another trip where Buzz signed G’s pillowcase when we thought he would just stamp it. D got upset because Buzz hadn’t signed his. So this was all remedied that night and he was happy.

Then we just started walking around checking it all out. D saw a green army man,

IMG_2948.jpg

we checked wait times on rides and went for the Alien Saucer Spin. One side broke down while waiting, but then it opened back up and we got on. G didn’t really care for the ride but D loved it. Wait time on Slinky Dog was 55 minutes so we didn’t get to try it. D was refusing to ride it anyway.

The line for Jessie and Woody was pretty long too so we decided to come back.

We did jump on TSM because the line wasn’t too bad. This was also our first time to walk through the queue.

Day 1: Moonlight Magic Hollywood Studios Part 2

Next, we headed to find another rare character. Bolt! (We just realized in the typing of this update that our Bolt pictures are missing!!!!! But we do have his signature on both boys’ pillow cases. C is contacting Disney to try and get them as I type this.)

We left there to go checkout the Dance Party where D ended up crying so we left after about 5 minutes. It really was loud and we were hot and tired. Then we got our free Mickey Bars and headed to the Star Wars characters.

G was asking to see BB8 and Chewbacca. Chewbacca’s wait time was longer than we liked but BB8’s was short.

STUDIO_DROID2CHAR_20180920_413348547163.jpg

Then we headed back to TSL where Slinky Dog was still too long of a wait but we got in line for Jessie and Buzz (Woody was gone but we were okay as long as Jessie was still there). We got her signature on the pillowcases too. She actually signed right by Buzz’s and made it say “Buzz loves Jessie” then she told us it was a secret.

STUDIO_DVCTSLCHAR_20180920_413351114415.jpg

Then we had back to the Star Wars characters because D was insistent on it. The waits were ranging from 15-20 minutes.

This is when we were waiting to see Chewbacca…

IMG_6368.jpg
They were so tired. We honestly had expected G to be passed out in the stroller by now.

STUDIO_LBLGHTSDECHAR1_20180920_413351498980.jpg STUDIO_LBDRKSDECHAR1_20180920_413352185269.jpg

G and I then bowed out because he was so tired and I couldn’t handle standing in anymore lines. It was after 11:00 pm at this point.

STUDIO_LBVISACHAR_20180920_413353016115.jpg

G roamed around checking out Doc McStuffins area for a bit.

IMG_6370.jpg

Then he kept calling the Storm Troopers “robots” and they came over to see us. G stood in awe but wouldn’t talk to them.

Finally C and D came out and we headed back to the resort.

I haven't been able to take the time to comment as much as I'd like lately, but I just had to quote this one:

Oh my goodness!!! How hilarious is this?!? I'm sure it was a little frustrating at the time, but this will be a picture to keep to tease him with when he's a teenager for sure! Glad you got a second chance with Tink that worked out much better.

Loving your report of the moonlight magic event. How cool! But I can't believe your boys lasted as long as they did at night!

How hilarious is this?!? I'm sure it was a little frustrating at the time, but this will be a picture to keep to tease him with when he's a teenager for sure!

It was frustrating in the moment but it had also become the new "norm" at the time. We laughed when we saw the pictures a few minutes later. The photographer captured the moment perfectly!

But I can't believe your boys lasted as long as they did at night!

I know! We had booked a double stroller specifically for both boys to pass out in knowing they wouldn't make it. But they did! Both late nights!! It was crazy!!

:rotfl:Has your son ridden Splash Mountain? I managed to get D on it this last trip :scared1::laughing:. I'll post all about it as soon as I have time.
It's so funny to me that he LOVES Splash but hates everything else even remotely "scary" :)

I adore that picture of your boys with Tinkerbell...you'll need to recreate that someday when they're older. Hilarious!

I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving! I actually feel a little lost since we don’t have a Disney trip planned for the week after.

I will say that I got the last of the items I need for my running costume for January. After much debate between a Merida inspired outfit or Ariel inspired, I’m going with Ariel. The fact that she is C’s favorite princess certainly didn’t hurt my chances of getting permission to spend more $$$ ;). C has been working on his spreadsheet for January and our FP window opens on Sunday. I’m really excited about the ADRs we have. Of course, we have so many that we are also looking at do the DDP :earseek:. I’ll try to share those soon.

On another note - I’m trying my best to get the May TR completed before I completely forget everything. My pitiful note taking doesn’t do a very good job of helping me remember all the little details.

Chapter 7: Animal Kingdom & Epcot – “Mine! Mine! Mine!”

Steps: 25,429

Hooray for thinking to set an alarm. It went off at 7:45 am. Our first FP window opened at 9:20 so we had to get moving. We had about a 10 minute wait at the bus stop before the AK bus arrived. We made it to our first FP in time and got to see….

IMG_2795.jpg

Then we went to see who might be in Flik’s old spot but there was no one there. So we headed to one of our other favorite spots – Baby Care Center. By the time we finished up there it was time to head to our next FP.

IMG_6070.jpg IMG_6071.jpg IMG_6073.jpg IMG_6074.jpg

One of G’s favorite friends tried to come see us.

We checked Flik’s spot again as we headed out of the park to go see some other old friends. But again, it was empty.

Chapter 7 continued…

IMG_6079.jpg

Since G is such a huge Toy Story fan now, we took him to go see the décor at All Star Movies – the very first place we stayed when he was 7 months old. He was so excited to see the giant toys. I just couldn’t ever get a good picture of his excitement.

After the boys played for a few minutes, we decided to just get lunch in the food court before heading to the next park.

I have no recollection of what we ate but I would imagine it included chicken nuggets, mac-n-cheese, fries, and applesauce.

Then we headed out to the not-covered bus stop (I do not miss that part of staying in a value resort) to catch the next Epcot bus.

After making it through security fairly quickly since it was mid-day, we headed towards Mary Poppins side of WS. She wasn’t out so we went to see…

EPCOT_WSFRN2_20180511_411471256269.jpg

D automatically went into his Prince stance. He remembered her telling him how to stand from our very first visit in 2016. G had fallen asleep about this time so we let him sleep.

Next we headed straight to Mulan because we knew her set would be starting soon. This was our first time to see her in her usual spot so we weren’t exactly sure where to go. I knew which building but we’ve never actually gone inside. C and the boys found a seat outside because we didn’t think we could take the stroller inside. When I walked in, I saw lots of strollers and a fairly decent line had already formed. I texted the guys to come inside with the stroller because it was air conditioned. It was a very warm day and I knew G would rest better if he were cooler. We waited about 15-20 minutes and then she came out.

EPCOT_WSCHI_20180511_411471846521.jpg

I have no idea why he is making that face.

EPCOT_WSCHI_20180511_411471846526.jpg

She asked if we’d seen Mushu and we told her we hadn’t that day. She said he was probably off doing something with fireworks. She told us if we saw any later that day that he probably had something to do with it.
EPCOT_WSCHI_20180511_411471846539.jpg

After a great visit with Mulan (my favorite), we quickly took off back the way we had come in hopes of seeing something extra. At one point I was running with a sleeping G in the stroller, D was crying trying to catch up and C was trailing behind at brisk pace. We made it to our destination with nothing in sight but one other family. So we all just chilled and I let the boys catch their breaths :D. A few minutes after the time we expected, we were pleased to get to visit with these guys…

G woke up in time to get to see them too. But he only wanted down to go see his favorite – Goofy. Goofy spent a few minutes playing pretend baseball with D. D also remembered to say that Donald was #1.

After all of that excitement, I decided we needed a snack. So we backtracked once again so I could get something from Karamell-Kuche. I went with the Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookie this time. It was good and the boys certainly enjoyed helping me eat it but I don’t know that I’ll get it again. Poor C didn’t even get a bite. He went to the restroom when I came out and by the time he got back it was all gone. :confused3 Then we were all thirsty. So we headed towards Mexico and made a stop at one of the little snack shops right before you get to China. They had a mister that I parked the stroller in front of while C got in line to get us some ice water and coke slushies.

After getting some much needed hydration and playing in the mist, we headed to one of D’s favorite rides – at his request. The line was the longest I’ve ever seen it but it moved quickly.

Afterwards, since we were in the area, we had to make a stop at the Baby Care Center.

Chapter 7 continued…

Then we went to check-out who was at the Chase Card meet-n-greet.

G had to do his usual “I-want-to-see-you-but-no-I-don’t-oh-wait-yes-I-do” routine again.

D had been begging all day to go hang out in the DVC lounge so we headed there next. It really was a nice retreat from the heat for a little while. We hung out in there for at about an hour, I think.

Then we were ready to do something else. D did a little shopping in the store downstairs and then we headed over to check out The Land.

This is the only picture I have. I’m not really sure why I even took this one.

When we walked out, G heard the seagulls and he started saying “Mine, Mine, Mine”. So of course we headed to ride Nemo next. He got a little uneasy in the really dark places but he loves seeing the fish. Afterwards, we checked out the aquarium side until we were able to meet up with our friend R. He and his family moved down to Orlando a few years ago so we always try to meet up when we come down. His wife and daughter weren’t able to come with him this day.

After much debate of what to do next, we decided to go check-out Figment. I don’t ever remember riding this so it was a first for all except R.

R forgot to warn us about the pitch-black part so D and G freaked out a little, but recovered quickly.

The boys played around with all of the interactive parts after the ride and then G did a little shopping. D had already spent some of his money but we were having a hard time finding G something else. We finally found a Toy Story bank that he liked.

Then we went outside to decide on what else to do. We didn’t have any set plans for supper so both men got on their apps and started playing around with reservations. We had options for Coral Reef, Akershus, and a couple of the other places that I knew our boys wouldn’t like (including C). We finally went with Akershus and it was only for 30 mins later. So we slowly headed that way.

We got there with 15 minutes to go and the cast member said we had to wait until 5 minutes early. So we did. R did a great job of entertaining an already-getting-cranky G. Finally it was time to check-in. We had to wait another 5 mins until they called us in. We got our picture with Belle (which I don’t have because R scanned his band so they went on his account and I’m just now remembering this) and then we’re seated at our table. G started in his high chair but didn’t last but a short time and he wanted out. After that, there was no sitting for him. I went to the buffet to get him some fruit but he refused it. I also remembered to lay his birthday pin out on the table.

Cinderella came over and he wanted nothing to do with her until she walked away.

Snow White made sure he was in the picture but you can tell how thrilled he was about it.
