Looking for recent experience - Hyatt MCO to Port with Disney Transfer and PAT -

We cruised in 3 staterooms on the Fantasy last February and stayed at the Hyatt the night before. I did the online checkin for all 3 rooms at the same time on the first available day. We booked transfers with the reservation so did not pick a port arrival time. We were on the second bus leaving MCO and got thru security quickly. There was no line for checkin and my friend went to an agent next to me for her room, booked by myself with my rooms and again I did all of the online check ins. Both agents were done at the same time and my sister and I had boarding group 15 and my friend 5. I politely asked why and her agent said she probably did online check in before me. I politely said that no , I had done all of the check ins at the same time and our agent then gave us all boarding group 5. My friend would have just waited to board with us and as my children are teens we would have been fine waiting, especially as once boarding starts it moves pretty quick. I was just curious what the reasoning was but did not get an answer and was clearly not related to any differences in online check in or which bus we arrived on from MCO.

Thanks for sharing. That is truly odd. They don't seem know what is going on.

One thing I found on our last cruise was that certain activities weren't available for booking/changing when we got on-board. I am referring to the drink tastings and mixology. I was told to come back later in the afternoon and talk to the bartender. I think it was around 2:30 or so. It is a bit fuzzy now. I know it is a bit stressful trying to get things booked but hopefully this will give you hope.

Thanks!

Those are secondary, but would be great to get added as well.

My biggest concern is getting moved to the Main dining time, then Disney Jr. Character Breakfast & Frozen/Princess Gatherings.

Are you on the wait list to change your dining time? That's the first step.

Second step, depending on how much longer until your cruise, give DCL a call to "confirm" that you're on that wait list. Sometimes you get a sympathetic CM who will go ahead and change you.

Hmmm...

What time do they normally open up sign up for onboard activities, and changing dining times?

These will most likely be in two different locations. The dining change folks usually open up between 1230 and 1. The port adventures desk, which handles onboard booking tickets on embarkation day, may be open as soon as you board the ship. When you check in you'll get the first day Navigator, and it will give the times and locations for dining changes.

Thanks! I am on the waitlist, my cruise leaves in one week, Sept 22!

I have called a few times, they all have said it is completely out of their hands and will happen automatically if my waitlist number comes up.

Thanks, my husband and I plan to each take one kid and divide and conquer! :)
