We have been very pleased with the perks, and some of them are alcohol drink related, for instance 3 free drinks per person per day with restrictions. There is a list of beverages included, cannot be gotten in dining rooms and within certain hours. We have not redeemed any. There is a exclusive lounge with food offerings and latte/expresso machine which we have used. The lounge has excellent views forward on the ship and it has levels, so everyone has access to the views.

Today a special lunch was served, wine flowed freely, excellent cold and hot appetizers, I do not remember all entrees but my beef Wellington was out of this world! Chocolate cake dessert, not so good. ( However the chocolate cake we bought for my sisters birthday today was excellent!!)

Except when we want a quick getaway, we book by itinerary, and for us RCCL has the best Vancouver to Honolulu experience. It’s our second time on this one, and we may not do it again, but the next leg of the Radiance heads to Tahiti, more Polynesia and ends in Australia. I think that itinerary is one we would like to do. 2021, perhaps!!

Bobbi:)

Thanks for the report Bobbi. We're also RCL Diamond but since we usually book suites we get confused about what benefits come with Diamond status and what are because we are in a suite. IIRC, on the Radiance we preferred the diamond lounge to the suite lounge.

Actually during happy hour, you can get as many drinks that are on the list from the diamond lounge as you want. The 3 free drinks are to be used at other venues on board. Certain ships like oasis class has been allowing the use of the 3 drinks during happy hour in mdr and specialty restaurants. I have also been able to use the diamond drinks in the mdr on serenade.

Wow getting a diamond lunch is something new. I know as d+ with 340 points you get meal with an officer where usually the menu is different and there is wine served. But have never encountered it before hitting 340 points on all my royal sailings. Were you notified there was a special lunch for diamond members?

There must be a ton of C&A d and above members on a trans pacific sailing. Do you know the numbers from the top tier party? Are they using the bar area outside the diamond lounge as overflow during diamond hour?

Enjoy your cruise and will you be staying at Aulani after the cruise or are you staying on and cruising to Australia?

I know that they do increase the size of the Diamond lounge during the Diamond hour.

I know there are 22 Pinacle and 200 + Diamond plus. Do not know how many Diamond.

We had the invitation to the special lunch as we entered the cabin on embarkation day!

We 6 are spending a week in an Aulani GV, starting on Monday!

We love the Aulani GV's!!! Its amazing to just sit out on that balcony with your morning coffee. Or watching the sunset with your favorite beverage! Have been in one for 4 visits and planning again next year.

That is actually not bad for higher tier members. On serenade there were 50+ P, 240+ D+ and close to 300 D members. That was a very busy cruise in d lounge and c lounge. Figure almost 25% of ship were d and above c&a members.

Hope you get in early enough to get to the member mingle at 830am.

Those are high numbers! In Starlight Lounge right now, enjoying some food and drink.

We won’t be getting to Aulani before 11 or 12, but may make some time next week to see what Member Mingle is about.

Lots of folks on board are Australians. Great variety of guests and it’s been a very enjoyable cruise!
