Yes, my family loved the Keurig maker in the room. We didn't bring our own coffee but the housekeeping keep us full the whole trip without even asking. We used our refillable mugs instead of the coffee mugs.

Hey there my friend....I would love that!! I keep telling my DD we should do that one day, my DH and DS are always going off with family on guy trips. College keeps getting in the way, but she's almost done.

I think we're going for a long trip the week of July 4th 2019, anything I should know of schedule for? Or stay away from? We have gone in early July but only as early as the 5th.

Happy Anniversary!!! What an amazing way to celebrate!!

I'll ask you the same as I asked BlueSkies.....Is there anything should I know about the week of the July 4th? Anything to see or stay away from? I heard that the fireworks are displayed the 3rd and the 4th.
I was at poly with Blue. We watched from the lounge 3rd and the beach the 4th. As luck would have it , it rained on the 4th and then the show was delayed an hour or so and we had to cram inside.

The resort was busy too.

I waited at the entrance for dd to arrive from mco and watched so many people arriving and departing via cars, Uber's , lyft etc. they did NOT ID dd when she arrived, they allowed anyone to come to the resort.

So overall having cl really made a difference. We made a party in the 3rd floor area when it was raining and again after.

They had fun desserts and some decorations too. The pools had stuff for the kids during the day as well.

If I go in the 4th again, I'd pick poly cl.

I’d definitely stay away from MK on the 3rd and 4th. If you have little ones, they tend to have special games/activities throughout both days. There are Fireworks on the 3rd and 4th at MK. 4th Epcot too. Fireworks are amazing! Be ready for heat and crowds! Definitely fun, though! Enjoy!!!

Thanks, my plans are definitely to stay away from MK on the 3rd and 4th. They used to swear in new American Citizens in the park that day, I don't know if they still do that. We have been going to WDW in July for many many years, we're used to working around the heat. I don't have little ones, my kids are 21 and 24 and we don't even go to the parks until after 4:00 in July. We enjoy the pool, renting boats, Disney Springs and Monorail hopping during the day. I heard the fireworks are amazing and my son wants to try and get California Grill on the 3rd or 4th but I am sure if thats possible.

WOW!! Everyone must busy planning and packing for WDW!! Page 2 rescue and back to back posts from me on different days, which is crazy rare!!:rotfl2:

Football season is here and my DH and DS are boring me. The weather is horrible and so I am surfing the web for nothing specific.:surfweb: I hope everyone has having a great weekend.
I've been packing for myself and now moved on to dh and ds. Trying to use a carry on since we arrive after midnight.

I'm one of "those" who brings enough clothes for a month even for short trips. The struggle lol.

I am the same way and I have to say for the first time in years I am glad I am. We were lucky enough to travel 3 times with summer and as always I packed enough clothes for a month with a mix of t's, sweaters, long sleeve, short sleeve, capris, jeans, shorts. Well this summer I used almost everything, weather was never what I expected, AC was colder then I expected and I used most if not all the last minute items I packed. So long story short.....better safe then sorry!!:rolleyes1

Not packing...just list making.. tip collecting.

We do that too, I leave an envelope in my kitchen and a for a couple weeks before I throw in $1 and $5.

So exciting you guys are getting ready!!!

Or the quiche from France in Epcot!

Nothing finer than a Napolean for breakfast!

This isn’t making my decision any easier!

I always over pack! DH is constantly reminding me we have a washer/dryer in the room. I had some cooler weather clothes packed but DH had an unexpected trip this week and dumped my stuff. :crazy2: Apparently it was easier than getting his luggage down!

I actually WILL use the washer/dryer since we have to run 3 times while we’re there. Nothing is worse than sweaty running clothes! We’re doing the Fall Feast 5k in Animal Kingdom then the following weekend we have a 12k Veterans Day Race. That means I can eat more...in theory.

I’m pondering taking our closet organizer for SIL. The 2nd bedroom closet looks pretty small. Is it larger than it appears in pictures?

Happy planning / packing for everyone!

Thoughts and prayers for the East Coasters dealing with Florence. We were lucky with Gordon last week. Hopefully Florence turns out to sea again!

Hello to all my dear GFers!

Well, it's been a while. Work craziness has taken me away from deep thoughts of our Happy Place. But, now I'm sitting home in my jammies with an early Spring bug. Ugh, with the delightful exception that it gives me some time to enjoy page after page of DIS and GF goodness. We have a May trip planned and hopefully this one pans out! I noted that a few pages back, a number of our GFers have plans for December stays. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy several Christmas trips to the GF. In order to send some early cheer, I send a couple of mice your way ...

Sending love and prayers to all, especially for those in the path of Florence.

Good luck with all that running. Didn't you know its supposed to be vacation??? LOL

Are you doing 2 br vgf? If so I just watched my video of it. The closet for the 2nd bedroom is across from the bathrooms and is a traditional 2 sliding door style.

Also see floor plan, there is another closet in the hall.

Yes it’s a 2 bedroom villa and this is version 3 of this vacation. We were supposed to do the Fall Feast then jump on the Fantasy for 7 days with the Kiddo but he backed out a few months ago. We had decided to cancel the whole thing when DH’s BIL called wanting to get together. I’d planned swapping out our Poly for either Kidani or BLT 2 bedroom but the morning I made the reservation, VGF was open. DH made the call to book it as he bounced around the kitchen. pixiedust: Love our DVC!

Of course last week he entered us both in the 12k without checking with me. We’re already 2 weeks behind in training or I wouldn’t worry about the runs while I’m there. At least I get to run around Seven Seas Lagoon between VGF and Poly and watch the sun rise!

Thanks for the video! It increased my excitement for the trip!

I knew I’d have the huge walk-in closet and it looks there are a few drawers in the 2nd bedroom under the TV. I may take a the organizers just in case too.

BIL and SIL are not AP so we have 2 resort days so hopefully we have some time to enjoy the room!
