The August 2018 "Vacation Vote" Exercise Thread

As a team, we have voted for snacking around the world for lunch
-and-
Rose and Crown Pub for Dinner with a view of Illuminations! Sounds so delicious!!

Congrats to sophy1996 who turned Going Again Green
and to liquid17 and myself turned Dessert Party Pink.

So, at the end of Day 4 we have now visited all 4 parks! And we have just enough time for a bonus day! Our last vote will be to decide where we go for this bonus day!
We could:

go back to one of the four parks
devote a day to the water parks
resort hop
-or-
do Disney Springs!

Well, a trip to Hershey Park has certainly boosted my numbers!! It’s hard to do it in minutes, but I walked 6 miles and over 16,000 steps in two days!!!! In the blazing heat!! The real feel temperature was 104 The wave pool never felt so good!! Now, on to getting my daughter settled. Since she’s moving to a city, I guess I’ll be adding a lot more walking.
A tasting trip around Epcot sound wonderful! So does Disney Springs. But, right now, I’d be happy with floating around Stormalong Bay!

I'm adding 70 minutes today. I realized that the month was almost over and realized I need to kick it into high gear if I want to meet goal!!
Congrats to myself and liquid17 for reaching Resort Hop Red.

I'll be back tomorrow to announce what we decided to do with our last Vacation Vote day!

And remember, we still need a host for September!

For theme park trips and things of that sort, we typically take the total time in the park and divide by three to add minutes. So for example, if you were at the park for 6 hours, you would add 2 hours, or 120 minutes. Of course, you can try to judge for yourself if you feel that's not entirely accurate.

25 minutes yesterday - mostly a walk and swimming, so I'm at 605/620, and should make goal today.

I'd have fun with any of those, but I'd actually love to resort hop! My family never has the patience or desire to take time out of the parks for that, and I've always wanted to see them all.

And remember, we still need a host for September!

I can do September if nobody has plans for it.

If I know the miles, I generally count about 20 minutes per mile (unhurried walking pace). So six miles ends up about 120 minutes that way as well.
