If you just want the meet the princesses, do it during the day. However, Tiana and Naveen are really hilarious together. We've met them at several different MVCMP, one time we lucked into a short line, the other time waited a while.

I'd say your best chances would be during a parade, or watch the Hallowishes fireworks behind the castle and duck into their line the second the fireworks finish.

That would probably work. I believe the ducks line starts to form around 7 and then builds very quickly. Though I am wondering if it might be different this year since Scrooge has been available to meet at AK. Before, the only place you could find him was the MVMCP.

Just be sure to check back here after the first party to see what the Dwarves are starting this year, as their start time has changed in the past.

Thanks for the information!! We will probably try and duck into the line during fireworks/parade. I really was hoping to not use a few FP up during the day if we didn't have to. When we've been at the Halloween parties, there was never more then a 10 minute wait for the princesses. I'm assuming it's because of the princes being there that the wait time goes up dramatically.

Yep, the princes really add a lot of wait time since they're not readily available elsewhere. Though now Eric and Flynn do meet at breakfast at Trattoria.

And we do have a reservation at Trattoria, CRT and 1900 Park Fare so it would really be Tiana/Naveen and Elena that we would want at the party. I was just worried they would have hour + waits.

They are so fantastic though! We met them back when they were together outside at the gazebo. I had bought an umbrella in Epcot from the China stand when it was raining, it looks like a dragon. I had it with me when we met them and Tiana was asking about it and asked if it had a name so I let her name it and she called it Dungeon. She must be a nerd...Dungeons and Dragons. But her and Naveen were so great together.

Thank you so much for sharing that meeting! It sounds like they are awesome together! My girls would love that type of interaction! For that I would wait it out if the lines are long. But I will keep an eye on the lines during parade and firework show :)

Ok, before I say anything, I just want to say that I don't have kids. LOL. BUT I do have a general common sense understanding about where you're coming from. LOL. Hey, IF and I mean a HUGE Cinderella Castle sized IF, you're able to, you can always think about possibly making your arrival day on a party day. For example, Disney usually has a Christmas Party on Friday nights. So you and your Fam can possibly come on the Friday before Thanksgiving week, not spend money on a full park ticket but on a Party ticket. That way, you, your Fam, especially your grandson, will be able to enjoy the Party, Parade included. Hey, it'll be a great way to start your Thanksgiving week if the logistics and money are there. :) Yeah, it will be expensive, hands down. But if there's an opportunity to do it, why not right? Cause at the end of the day, you can never put a price on the enjoyment and happiness your grandson would feel. Just saying. :)
Thanks, I guess we will have to see how he is doing in school. he has a couple disabilities so the fewer days he misses the better as it is easy for him to fall behind. We live in Florida and will have annual passes and the party has been budgeted for . It will be his 6th trip but by the time we go it will have been 3 years since our last trip . he will be 8 years old and I am sure either way he will be thrilled but the party would just be an added bonus. thanks for your answers!

Went last year the Tuesday after thanksgiving and it wasn’t bad at all I didn’t think. We will be going the same time again this year.

Good to hear! I’m hoping it’s not. I mean the Sun and Tues both sold out so does that mean they had the same number of people both nights or so they offer different amount of tickets on different nights?

Should I use my fast passes on the big ones like sm or 7dmt on dec 11 in the morning or should I wait until the mvmcp that night when wait times are shorter?

I would personally FP+ the big rides either in the am or right before the party starts. The popular rides have shorter wait times, but they are not walk-on and you can waste some precious party times in line. I personally prefer doing things unique to the party, but everyone has a different preference.

I would still FP the bigger rides. While I’ve only done MNSSHP, I think MVMCP might be similar and 7dmt will still have a longer wait. Space mountain isn’t as long as the 7dmt, but it’s not just walk-on either.

Thanks! Follow up! Can we rider swap during those rides at mvmcp?

When people are waiting in line for the princesses during the party, say you get in line at 7. How long of waits can I expect? Moana, Rapunzel/Flynn etc...

Moana comes out around 5, so you’ll encounter quite a line by 7 (possibly in the 2 hour range). Flynn / Rapunzel start meeting at 7, but the line starts forming around 6/6:15. I’d expect an hour wait if you line up at 7.
