Disneyland show?

Thank you for mentioning this- I had no idea! So sad to look up news articles to see they've already closed doors on the original location.

I have only ever consumed DIS media on YouTube, so never experienced it as a podcast. MaryJo's dialogue on the most recent show was highly enjoyable. As far as Tyler and Katrina, they seem like very nice and helpful people- but I often get the impression they are not yet fully relaxed/able to be genuine on camera/around Pete. That could improve with time; it bums me out to see people unkind towards them.

I would love a source on Disneyland that provides local insider viewpoints, perspectives, and information. When I don't care for WDW DIS food reviews/in park videos there are other options. With DL, there are far fewer options and many of the vloggers I've come across have an obnoxious voice/persona that I can't connect with.
If you’re looking for a YouTube channel featuring a non-obnoxious, cute and fun couple, try Magic Journeys. They try A LOT of dishes at one time, so you really get a feel for a restaurant’s menu.

I have been watching them for a while now! Great content. Exactly the kind of stuff I love in vlogs. Genuine, friendly and professional, and extremely well shot.

I always felt that was the previous incarnation of the Disneyland podcast...

16 attractions in 7 hours?! Uh, you absolutely do NOT need a guide to do that. That isn’t impressive at all. And you spent $4800 for 8 hours and try to claim it was worth it.
I feel this was really out of touch. I feel it completely gives the wrong impression about what you can accomplish in a day.
The basic DL touring plan from the Unofficial Guide has 17 attractions, others have even more. The 2018 version was even published pre-MaxPass I believe. Seriously, order the Unofficial Guide from Amazon before you oh spend that kind of money. Better yet, come to the DL forum and we will help you customize one. All we ask is you drop in and let us know how it goes after.

I have been watching them too for a couple of months and so agree! I love their videos!

I like the new Disneyland show, but I agree with this. You're talking about dropping 5k between the tour, tickets, food, etc. Ryno was the voice of the people though!

Out of Touch is an understatement. I had to turn off this episode. I guess I have to wonder what the target audience for this new show is if a $4800 tour for 8 hours is "worth it." I thought the new format was gearing towards trip planning....for the Kardashians???

I was at DL in November and hit nearly every major thing we wanted to do in both parks being at Rope Drop..and utilizing FP plus we got the following done in no specific order(Fantasy Land-Peter Pan,Toad,Pinnochio..Tommorowland-Space Mountain,Buzz ...Adventureland-Indiana Jones,Jungle Cruise,...Liberty Square-Pirates,Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay...Frontierland-Splash,Thunder Mtn.) at this point it was we went to DCA and had a FP for Radiator Springs it was not yet 2pm...we went back to DLH to enjoy the rest of our day there as we still had 2 more days, which is an important factor since we didn't need to kill ourselves to get it all done in a day..but with good planning and proper use of FP Plus it can be done without relatively stress free as long as your not adverse to Rope Drop and some strategic planning

You can split the tour with ten friends but then it waters down your personal time with the guide and everyone would only get to pick 1.5 attractions for the group to do.
At $4800 a better suggestion for a couple would be to book the ABD Disneyland Short Escape clocking in at about $4500!! That’s an entire vacation with tours of Imagineering, the Studios, Disney Archives, some meals, staying at the Grand, 4 day tickets, 2 full time ABD guides AND a VIP experience of DL and DCA and pixie dust is fully included.

That's actually a really great point. I'd like to hear Pete's reply to that, because I think it puts it in a completely different perspective.

A few weeks ago K & T were sharing she had taken her brother and had knocked out all of DL main attractions by 11 AM(!) using MaxPass. I think that’s a little bit unrealistic for the average guest but I am not sure how they could say 16 in 7 hours for $4800 is worth it. (Episode 6/25 46:00)
I wonder if maybe a little bit they were trying to be gracious to Pete who had been generous to take them on this tour and understandably so.
But yeah Ryno was the voice of reason.

Yeah, I hate to be negative, because I do enjoy the show, but it very much came across as a "Let them eat cake!" moment to me, and I believe that was unintentional.

Disneyland doesn't have Liberty Square...I think you mean New Orleans Square.

I agree with a lot of you. $4800 is a lot of money to throw into 8 hours of a Disneyland day. On a typical day to Disneyland for me...If I rope drop...I will hit about 25 rides + parade, fireworks, and World of Color/Fantasmic. That was also pre-MaxPass days. I really haven't calculated how many rides I have gone on when using MaxPass.

For $4800, I think I would rather go on a Disney Cruise than spend it on a park where I can basically do everything that the DIS was able to accomplish in one day EASILY.

I thought it was a really good episode. Yeah, sure, I'll never be in the demographic to do a VIP tour; but it is something offered at Disneyland and it's interesting to hear what that experience is like. Just like I'll never be able to do most of the things they discuss on the Dreams show, but it's fun to listen to others share their experiences. It didn't make me hate life or Pete because I can't do it.

I would think there are many who listen to the show who CAN afford VIP tours so why not discuss it?

I realize it's my personal opinion, but I think they are getting better each week. If I didn't like it, I just wouldn't watch it. :confused3
