How is your vegetable garden faring this year? I am in south Jersey. We had a lot of rain in May, I did not plant until May 20 when we finally had a sunny day.

So, this is a month later, things look pretty good. We are not anywhere near harvesting anything but herbs.

How about where you are?

We don't have enough room for a garden at our place (actually we do just not enough time to tend it properly this year).. but our neighbor's looks amazing! He said while we were away for 2 weeks that we had some good showers and that the garden is looking really good this year!

Will he share?

I have not enough space for gardening and that's i i chose indoor gardening inside of my home. And now it my plant grow very fast.

my Yuma leaf lettuce bed garden is doing great, using scissors to harvest the sweet organic taste, had to create much mulch, but finding that sand content does not hold water as Oregon garden soil did, so even if it is not warm here, still need much water. . We are growing aesthetic sweet potatoes, they are fun to watch...and palm trees, they grow everywhere in yard with little attention. I am now encouraging spaghetti squash starts, and when they bloom I am putting hummingbird feeder next to the plants to attract bees. My tomato from compost seed is growing very fast and healthy compared tomy wife's potted Lowes tomato plants. ....now ask my about my lizard nursery.

Last year, we tried brussel sprouts for the first time. We're not planning to do it again this year. Fairly low maintenance, but definitely takes time.

We're planning for squash, tomatoes, leafy greens... pretty standard garden items.

Wow, you have lots going for you!

All I have started is a basil growing kit from the Dollar store. It has germinated.

Interesed in hearing about gardens now? We tend a rather large one and have had some ripe tomatoes as of last week, squash and zucchini. Radishes, cucumber, and eggplant is decent size on the vine. Love the color and taste.
What are you growing?

We have harvested yellow and red cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and white eggplant.

Earlier in the year we did harvest some asparagus, but they are perennials, and next year will be the better time to harvest. This year they are building root strength!

Our zucchini plants are pulled. Weather did them in too early, but better than last year!

Hi! Who has planted vegetables this year? I planted tomatoes, green pepper and white eggplant plants. I planted cucumber and zucchini seeds. I live in NJ.

We planted whimsical plants this year Shooting Star and Rosa Bianca Egg Plant, Long sweet peppers and Mini Bells. Our zucchini and Squash plants are in. Starting cucumber today and setting up trellis.
5 kinds of tomatoes. Love summer vegetables. Also, kale, lettuce, peas, radish, onion, garlic have been in.
