I'm so sorry guys, I'm not a good contributing member of this thread. Still new to all of this, so I mostly have questions o_O

So my question of the day: Priority Pass - I just went thru the UR portal and activated the Priority Pass. Now I have to wait for it to come in the mail? Anyone have experience with how long it takes, I only have about 13 days to work with.

Thanks! I've never done it before since I've only booked one off brand hotel through UR before. I'll have to check around and make sure, otherwise I'll just pay the Marriott cash rate.
I would think that you wouldn't get points because it's like booking through Expedia, but I'm not familiar with Marriott's policy on rooms booked through third party sites.

I can’t remember specifics for the timing. I was thinking about two weeks.

My aunt used hers before she ever had the card but it was used at the restaurant lounge in Denver. She called chase ahead of time and they said they’d apply the credit when they saw the charges and they did just that.

Isn’t there a digital membership card now? I think I’ve seen chatter on here about that.

^^ pretty much what i was gonna say.
digital membership card i think still requires your PP pass #.

Exact same offers at these logins. The only 2 offers I have loaded I still have not used, the Olive Garden and Ebags. They will expire soon, guess I need to decide if I want to spend money I wasn't planning on to "save" money. lol

Felt the same way until I saw that Olive Garden was "buy $50 gift card, get $10 back" until 6/24. We happened to be at Olive Garden so I bought a $50 gc. They gave me a $10 gift card but it had to be used within a specified time period, mine was June but on line now shows must be used month of July and the $10 Amex credit already on my account. $20 off $50 not too bad.

Currently trying to combine UR's from CIP to CSR. Getting error: "An unexpected error occurred." Happened multiple times, even in incognito. Should we start to worry?

I think you're good, I'm pretty sure it was only a week. I got mine on May 18 and I think I ordered it May 10 ish? It was sometime the week before, may have been up to 10 calendar days.
I would think within a few days they'd have your number assigned so if you get close maybe you can call and get your online account setup to use the digital pass while you wait.

That seemed to be what I was seeing online, you get your card in and then use it to get the digital membership card.

If it doesn't show in time, maybe I'll do that. Doesn't hurt to try I suppose.

Well looks like it doesn't matter. According to the Priority Pass website, no lounges in CLT or BNA. Well there is some sort of Minute Suite in Charlotte. I was hoping for food at either :(

I never think to do this, now that you mention it I think I saw that deal at my location too so might have to do that!

so this basically could mean I hit MSR and get no bonus randomly, and with no way to know until I get there?

Jeez Amex....that would be so bad to have made the spend and be denied the bonus!:sad2::furious:

Pretty much getting the card, making the spend, and then getting denied the bonus is what happened to us this fall with DH’s Amex Delta business. It was all legitimate organic spending. I am too paranoid to ms. All Amex would ever say is you need to wait 8 to 10 weeks. After that it was it has been referred to our RAT team. It was only after 14 weeks of meeting the spend and after I brought it up on Twitter that the miles finally appeared. In the middle of that I used his card to refer myself. I met the spend and got the miles but despite multiple secure chats with Amex trying to get the referral bonus I have given up on those 10k miles. So at any rate this rule is really crappy and not surprising. I am pretty much tapped out with Chase right now and this seals the deal for me as far as Amex for a while. We are just going to concentrate on using the cards we have right now and building points that way.

Refresh my memory... if I book a room at a Marriott for one night with URs, I can provide my Marriott number at the hotel and receive Marriott points for the stay since it's a "cash" booking, right?

Maybe not if it's considered a third party booking (which it probably is :( )

From the Marriot's Rewards T&C:
"There are instances when a stay will not be eligible to earn Points or elite night credit. For example, rooms booked via third party online retailers, like Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, Hotels.com, Booking.com, and Priceline.com, are not eligible."

Also, just FYI, convention rates get sticky depending on how it's billed:
"If the Member attends a convention or group meeting and individually pays the hotel directly for the room, he/she will be eligible to receive Points and elite night credits for the stay. However, contract rooms, rooms reserved by corporations on an ongoing basis and master-billed rooms are not eligible to earn points or elite night credit."

But can't hurt to put the number on it somehow, because they're partners with Chase maybe it's a different qualifying rate? I don't know, I always book direct.

I had this happen to me a week ago. I deleted all transfer accounts from every Chase card between my husband and me and waited a FULL 24 hours before trying again and then it went through just fine.

First, I'd like to say that it warms my heart over how much Southwest love there is on this board. While I'm not too happy with their prices lately, I do enjoy flying with them! Is there any information related to how much SW points are worth? I booked a flight from MCO to MKE for X number of points (I don't recall the amount), but the $ price was $123. The price has gone down to $99, but it shows me no difference in points cost. Also, booked another flight over Christmas. Cash price for those without points was $437 round trip. My points costs was just over 27,500. It's no big deal. I'm just curious.

I see one of four plastiq payments reflected in the ford account...

hehe, im doing this too, every day i make a $250 check... so far on check #2, i need 3 more.

While doing my editing for the airline transfer, i got bored and made this too.

That seems strange. I don't think there is a hard set value on per point. It kind of depends on the price of the flight, ie the points are worth slightly more on lower priced tickets.
Did you book the legs one way? If so, take a look at the bottom of the confirmation email. It should tell you how many points you used for the flight.
However, if you booked a round trip, it's hard to break out the how much the individual legs cost in points. You might not see a price difference in total if one way went down but the other way went up.
I always recommend booking one ways, it makes the changes easier.

It was valued at 1.6 cents per point but I think it went to 1.4 recently. @SouthFayetteFan would know exactly
