Rates start at $26.36 (including tax) for a half day, with time blocks running from 10am to 2pm and 3pm to 7pm. A full day rental from 10am to 7pm is available for $42.60. Seasonal price adjustments apply.

For our upcoming visit on June 2 (Saturday), a full day including tax was $74.55. We are splurging since my fiancé is a sun person and I am a shade person and it's a celebration trip for us.

Thanks for the info! Any idea if you can book these at the time of reservation or does it need to be at the 180 day mark?

I posted this earlier in the thread but here is your answer: There are only 3 pool patio structures available at the Oasis pool. Call 407-WDW-PLAY ((407) 939-7529) to make reservations. All rentals can be made up to 180 days in advance, and they must be prepaid when reserved. Reservations can be cancelled for a full refund up to 24-hours in advance of the rental date. You can also make reservations via the concierge desk at the Great Ceremonial House during your stay.

Thanks kind sir! I’ve been trying to keep up with this thread but was out of town for the past week and missed a good chunk of backreading. Going to try to get a half day during our trip :)

Thanks for the info. I just booked a full-day cabana for our mid-week break and a half-day cabana for our check-out day so that we can linger at the resort for a few hours and have a "home base." The CM who took my reservations on the phone was so lovely. After asking if we were celebrating anything and I told her our 25th anniversary, she made a note of it on all of our other reservations. We talked for a couple minutes about my plans. By the time I got off the phone, I was "happy crying." I'm getting so excited.

Calling a Kona Island and Cafe fans——— I know I read that at Kona Cafe, you can order sushi from the Kona Island, but if we stop at Kona Island for a bite, can we order anything off of the Kona Cafe menu? Or, are items limited? Thanks!

Match 2017 when we stayed there we rented the structure for the day and they had a promo going on where you got an hour of 2 water sprites or one pontoon boat with the cabana rental. Back then it was $45. Pretty great deal!

I was so excited that I got both days, I forgot to ask how much she charged my credit card!

Please tell me what a water sprite is...I'm picturing Tinkerbell in a bathing suit.:tink:

It keeps changing. The last few times however they have a Kona menu with items marked off that were not available. I remember the salads were available but I can't remember the others.

Thanks! I’ll just have to wait and see until we’re there.
Now I have a taste for sushi......

Well if that's not a mental image! Haha

Water sprites are the water mice, aka Sea Raycer. The two person boats. They've changed names a few times.

I don't remember seeing those out there on my last visit. Are they gone now?

Hopefully someone with a more recent stay at the Poly will chime in! They are still being advertised on the WDW website (though I didn't check specifically at the Poly). I know for a while they suspended watercraft rentals after the tragedy with the child and the alligator at the Grand Floridian but I feel like I have definitely seen the Sea Raycers out since then.

We rented them last July. I hope they are still doing this. We want to do it again this summer. The kids had a blast!

DS and I rented one last fall. They were tons of fun. Being out on the 7 Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake - by yourself, in control of your own water craft - was really quite awesome. :-)
Totally agree!
I didn't ride them, but my 9yo did with his dad. Plus my 2 girls got to ride/drive them by themselves and they really loved the freedom. It was one our most relaxing days that trip!

Disers are the worst kind of enablers, I swear. Now I'm trying to think about when I might have time to experience the Sea Raycers

My advice - do it when it’s a bit cloudy and not so hot, if you can. I don’t mind the heat at all, but we did it in Sept in the blazing sun and it was boiling! They don’t go all that fast so it’s hard to get a good breeze going. I was begging for some shade (and water!) by the end of it. Still fun though!

BTW, it’s a bit intimidating driving those things across the ferry path! :-)
