The Adventures of The Traveling Fire Pit

Pxydst Try Home Depot and/or Lowes in a pinch consider the hardwood chunks bagged for use in a grill

tiggerdad... we brought our own fire pit but can not find any firewood! We went to Walmart, Winn Dixie and Publix... any other idea where we can find some firewood? we would even take the fake firewood i.e Duraflame if we could find some!
Wal Mart didn't have the duraflame!?

I brought two bundles from MS that I picked up at a local store. I have personal firewood, but a lot of places frown on that due to spread of fungus and bugs. These bundles are cured but that means they'll burn quick.

If you've got your own pit that means I'll need to find another home for this one. I'll need to pass it on the 17th so anybody who will be here and ready for it let me know.

I was advised today of a potential foster parent that might be willing to do temporary holds on it if needed. Nothing I really want to blast on the Internet.

My friend EL ANGELO MYSTERIO sent me a photo of the TFP when he stopped by to conduct a safety and wellness checkIMAG0860.jpg
The TFP is under the Easy Up in front of the picnic table

Try Lowes on Osceola Parkway East (Fla 535 to Osceola Parkway past the Loop shopping center). Try Gooding Grocery across from hotel row, Publix in Windermere, Publix just south of I-4 and just east of 535, the local gas stations.

Wish I could help more but we're in Hilton Head now.

We had the traveling fire pit until Thursday, when it awaited Tigerdad’s arrival, and we purchased our firewood at Lowe’s. Because it is not an in-season item, they had it very high on the shelf, which required the tall ladder stand. Good luck, as it turned chillier the 2nd week of our stay, it was put to good use.

I'm on 1402 and will be until late on 17th or very early AM on 18th. Let me know when you roll in and I'll get it to you.
We will be in on Friday 3/16, but leaving Sunday 3/18.....is there someone who can keep it until the 20th when 'team Bradfield' comes in????

@CDNCruiser , would you be available to hold the pit once again from 3/18 until Team Bradfield rolls in on the 20th?

Update:

By strange coincidence I just ran into CDNcruiser at EPCOT at Test Track. Said they will be more than happy to hold the pit from the 18-20.

Excellent!! I was so afraid of being the one that would have been responsible for ending the fitepits journey, lol

Team Bradfield, I don't have a truck. You'll have to come to #707 to pick it up.

I would say you could roll it to your site but the poor plastic tires have taken a beating.
:lmao:

Yes, when we received the pit, both tires in one area were “melted” due to heat? I wonder if a set of metal wheels would solve that proble,. We loaded the pit on the back of the golf cart when we delivered it to CDN Cruiser for storage for you. Maybe someone can come up with a replaceable wheel. All else seemend to be in great shape. Headed to HS for the evening but the firepit is at my site. If you want to go ahead and get it.
