Last trip I took MinnieVan once. Wait was 20 minutes. Took Uber about 6 times, never waited more than 5 minutes. Minnie cost twice as much and took twice as long. I'm done!

When going to MK where can Uber drop you off? Contemporary?
I'm going to be staying a BLT in April. Can anybody tell me the best way to get to Animal Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon? Bus, Minnie Van, Uber, taxi? By best I mean fastest and most comfortable.
Thanks, any one those your favorite?Minnie Van/Uber/Lyft/Taxi would be my vote. Getting to TL via bus involves transferring at DS and is a bit of a pain.

That's a perfect reply. I'll have my grandchildren with me so the Minnie Van sounds like the way to go. Thank youMinnie Van is the most comfortable and you know exactly what you're getting in terms of a quality driver/vehicle, but availability can sometimes be a question.
Uber/Lyft have various options in terms of vehicle size/quality/price and availability can be better than Minnie Van during certain times.
Taxi is usually my last resort, but nothing really wrong with them either.
We have littles so Minnie Van is the best option for us given the car seats.
Wishy washy answer, I know!
Yes. Uber can take you to the Contemporary where you can then walk to MK.
We were there this past week and had bad luck with Minnie Vans. They never seemed to be available when we needed them. My husband would even check the app at random times just to see how available they were, and it was probably less than 50% of the time. I'm not sure how you effectively use them, because you won't know if one will be available until you need it, so you would always need a backup plan (which is harder if you'd need a carseat.)

This is really worrisome. We booked at AKL with the intention of using Minnie Vans for all of our transportation. We love AKL and this will be our 4th stay there but we hate their transportation. I guess that we could just use a regular taxi as long as they have car seats.
Regular taxis are generally not going to have car seats, just FYI.
Uber does have the option to order a car with one car seat (but only one), although availability can be a wild card.
Just my opinion and please forgive the unsolicited advice, but I think depending on Minnie Vans for all of your transportation is potentially a setup for disappointment. While we’ve had good luck with Minnie Van availability so far (never more than a 5-10 minute wait), the service grows more popular by the day and from reports you read around here, availability can be stretched thin at key times. I’d suggest having back-up transporation plans ready when/if you run into difficulty with Minnie Van availability.
Quick question: OKW is considered a deluxe resort (actually ALL DVC resorts are). So, is SSR an option for MinnieVan? What about the SSR Treehouses?

I just saw earlier today that SSR and CBR have been added to Minnie Van service: http://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories...esort-spa-and-disneys-caribbean-beach-resort/
