Thank you for that info!No - MaxPass can only be pre-purchased if you buy your tickets directly from Disney.

Try it your first day so you can decide if it’s worth it for the rest of your trip.Thank you for this question!
I totally understand the 'no need to walk to the kiosk' and 'get a new fastpass immediately while in line', but I also firmly believe that the loooooooooong stands in line are part of the experience and I don't like getting my phone out for even a minute as that usually leads to "one more thing, wait, just one more....". I have been 3 times as an adult, twice with adult/near adult companions, once with 2 other adults, a 4yo, a 5yo, and an infant. All before MaxPass. There are no bad memories associated with any of those. The most recent trip was the year CarsLand opened, and Anaheim was having a heat wave. We went through the Radiator Springs full line 3 or 4 times, FP line once.
I am going back this fall with an adult and a 10 yo, his first memorable visit as he was the infant in a previous visit. I am only thinking about MaxPass for maybe the last day, but am not even sure about that.
Thanks for letting me ramble to folks who might get it!
As soon as he is scanned into the park, he scans his ticket into the app and can add it.Oh, I've been asking about this...this is the first I've heard of being able to add it that day at the park! Where do you do this...the ticket booth? Guest relations on Main Street? This would solve the problem of the travel agent for my son's touring group not being willing/able to attach a specific ticket to a given kid ahead of time!

If you're talking about linking your tickets to the app, you need to open the Disneyland app and go to where it says My Tickets. From there, in the upper right corner, there's a + sign. Click that and you will see the option Link Tickets and Passes. Click that and it will bring up a window using your phone's camera, which you need to point at the bar code on the ticket. Hope that helps.so.......now for the technology hampered grandma question.
How do I scan something in to my phone? Older android smartphone.
You buy MaxPass right from the app on your phone. If you've already linked your ticket to the app, open it up and buy MaxPass. If you haven't scanned the ticket into the app, do that, THEN buy MaxPass. No other lines to stand in for it.Oh, I've been asking about this...this is the first I've heard of being able to add it that day at the park! Where do you do this...the ticket booth? When can you start making Maxpass reservations? You have to be on property, right?

You can take a nap at your hotel in the middle of the day and as long as your ticket has been scanned into a park, you don’t get any less FPs. (For example, you enter the park at 8 AM, and at noon you return to your hotel to take a nap and are gone for 4 hours. If you had regular FP, you could not get any FPs during that time. If you had MP, you could get a couple during that time if you just set an alarm for a time you could get a new one)
Totally understand! As of right now, there will be no app (my phone won't download it anyway), and chances are very great that I won't even have it on my person. Our group of three will not separate, and the youngest doesn't have a phone, so contact won't be an issue.
