Doing Disney twice this year

Yep, in March and May. Our visit in March will be just a 2 day stay prior to a Carnival cruise out of Port Canaveral. We have reservations at Caribbean Beach and plan to do a few things we missed back in October. Gonna miss the Fort glamping experience but plan to do dinner at TE.

May is a different story ... will be glamping at the Fort for 8 days. Really looking forward to the May trip as we don't intend to do as much in the parks as we did in October ... just glamp, relax, and enjoy what the Fort has to offer.

May is a nice weather time, tripleb. It's a nice time to lounge around outside at the Fort (TE porch, pool, bike, walk, campfire, etc.).

We're hoping so ... We were going to do the GSP trip but decided on Disney instead.

I just booked Fort trip #3 for 2018! It's just a weekend in early December to enjoy the Christmas decorations, but it will be fun. We have grandson's spring break week in March....no park days because our AP's are blacked out, but there's enough to do just hanging at the Fort. Also have a week for hubby and me the week of Labor Day. Not 100% sure we'll keep the entire week at this point....I booked a week at Vogel State Park in Blairsville Georgia for June so have to make sure the budget will handle 4 camping trips. Vogel and the Fort are our two happy places.

I haven't been to Vogel in a veeeeeeeeery long time. Maybe 50+ years ago it was one of my favorite parks when I was a child camping with my parents. Another one of my favorites near by is Desoto Falls if I remember correctly. Camped all over North Ga., NC, and Tennessee with my parents. Very fond memories of those days.

I camped at Vogel as a child too....I had such great memories of that and that's why we went back when got a camper. It's still the most popular park in the Georgia State Park System, sites book up a year in advance. You should try to go over July 4th some time, they do a bicycle parade for the kids in the morning and have activities all day long.

Thanks for the tip harriet ... We don't tend to camp during national holiday weekends. Tends to be crazy crowded.

Vogel is the 2nd park we went to after we bought our TT. DH swiped a tree and destroyed our awning! Now I can't talk him into going back!

Yep, you have to be careful in State and National parks. They don't do a lot of tree trimming since they are considered a preserve.

He is not the first nor will he be the last. Our our 2nd trip to Spring Mill in Indiana, I bounced the curb side f a tree on a turn. It’s just part of the learning curve.
