I have been out of the loop for a while...long story. Just got caught up reading recent trip reports and really enjoyed all the pictures and experiences everyone shared. I am not very good at this but do not see any posting for February so here goes.

My husband's two adult daughters, 40 something, wanted to join us next time we were at WDW. They own their business and hard to get away. They really want to get a break from the cold WV weather. We made reservations for Feb 6 thru 13 at full hook up site.

We will arrive early on Feb 6, set up and have dinner at TE. On Feb 8 we pick up DDs at airport at 9pm. DDs plan on going to Epcot on Feb 9th which is DD#2 Birthday. She ask us to make late night reservations somewhere nice (our successful kids are treating us) so I got 9:25 at CG so we can we can have meal and show...fireworks! I keep trying to get a little earlier than this but no luck. A little worried about leaving our 17 month old puppy that late. He is so used to snuggling with us at that time.

Really excited about returning to the Fort. DH and I will mostly relax and ride bikes while they paint the town red, and join in with them a few times I'm sure.

We are arriving on Feb 24,and leaving March 10. So, I guess that means we can be on the tail end of the February Trip Reports. We just secured a day earlier, the 24th. Looking forward to our daughter, son in law, and three kids in THEIR fifth-wheel, along with our niece, husband and two children, who happen to be first timers to Disney World. They are flying down and renting a TT. We are hoping they have a fun time, relaxing, touring, riding, and down time. Here is to 11 “Cheeseheads” invading the Fort. We will have our inflatable cow on our golf cart!

You will love the Fort. We are staying in a Premium site, and hope to find you. Yes, it has been a long hard winter already, safe travels and we will connect. Barb

I am getting my lights ready for the Fort. I have rope lights I lay across the ground alongside our TT, and some clear twinkling lights (my Christmas lights) that I will string across the awning. I really like that look of lights across the top and bottom. I have tons of Fall/Halloween decorations but due to a series of unfortunate events we had to cancel our October Fort reservations.
I think I will try to get to a Dollar Tree and pick up a few Valentine decorations.
Its getting close and I am getting very excited about our February trip to the Fort!

I was thinking of just using the Christmas lights in our screen room. Do they put out much light

Thank you!! Requested 1500 loop so that means we will probably be in 2000 loop lol. Hope it warms up in Orlando soon. I'm looking forward to some spring like weather

That's a lotta cheese all in 1 place, LOL. Enjoy your time there. Our friends who are dairy farmers from Watertown are there now too!

I have one set of clear lights going hanging around the perimeter of my ez-up and the lighting isn’t too bad. I have one more set I am going to run along the roof frame to get more light concentrated to the center of the area.

I hope it warms up for them to enjoy their time. We are also Dairy Farmers from Darlington, WI, and I know how important a vacation is to those who work 24/7, 365 days. We are lucky that our two sons are also involved in our operation. So everybody, drink your milk and eat that cheese, and other dairy products, this is going to be a very difficult year for those in this industry. I fear many of the smaller dairy farms may have to liquidate. Okay, Debby Downer, on to the Magic of Disney!

We are coming the last weekend in Feb and staying the following week. Our focus has really been on decorations for the golf carts. We decided that the nearest holiday to our trip is St. Patrick's day so we are going with an Irish theme. If you see the green bedazzled carts when you are there, make sure you say hi!

Coming in on 2-24, a Saturday I would have to say your chances of 1500 would be pretty slim. As of today 1-19 a Friday there are 10 sites empty but they will fill up fast.

My experience with getting in 1500 is to try, I know everyone can’t make things happen because of school/work is to checkin during a week day, or like now checking in on a Friday early morning, 6:00 am. You may have to wait for your site after checking in but at least you would have a better chance. A lot of charm and chit-chat with the CM never hurts either.

I will post here tomorrow on how many empty sites are available to give you an idea.

Melissa, we will have our cow on the cart, but get lots of laughs because we hear some people shout, “Go Chick Fil A. Perhaps we should include our CheeseHead. We are also being joined by our niece, husband, and two kids, who are first-timers to Disney. They are flying down and renting a camper. Our daughter, husband and kids will also be there. Hope and making sure we have lots of Fort time, relaxing. Moved into our new home the week before Christmas. Camper living for 7 1/2 months was okay, but when nov and dec rolled around, we got evicted to inside the Heated Machine shed. So, a camper, inside a machine shed = hurry up contractors, this Mom needs natural daylight. Think Spring, and I as well look forward to your trip reports in Oct/Nov.
