Stars Wars VR Feedback yet?

One of the things I was hoping the DL show would cover is the new Star Wars VR experience in Downtown Disney. Is there any feedback on this yet, I know it's only a week old. Are you able to get any kind of parking validation?
Looking at the tickets but still unsure on the value.

My friend and I went last night and it was amazing!! You really feel like you are there. Extremely immersive and lots of fun.

I’m curious about this as well. Could you tell me if the experience is super flashy? My son wants to do it but has some health issues.

There is blaster fire and a couple of explosions, but no strobe lights or anything of that type. I don't know if that helps or not. You could call and ask The Void employees, they are very helpful. I don't want to spoil the experience or storyline for anyone.

I definitely think it could be, but you know your child best. It is all Star Wars, so if she isn't a fan she might not enjoy it. I think the minimum age for the experience is 10.

Just bumping this up a bit to see if there are any other reviews - from what I have read online it's a great experience but it's very poorly managed and people have awful things to say about the reservation and check in process.

It states the following:

Please note: all Guests must be 48” (122 cm) or taller and age 10 or older to visit The VOID. Before entering, Guests will be required to sign a liability waiver. Anyone under age 18 must have a parent or guardian’s signature.

I did this at Disney Springs on Monday. I want to do it again. It was so much fun. The gear is a little heavy. And they have a height check for kids. I found the check in progress to be pretty easy and seamless. They had a small backup of people when I went. I had a 10pm reservation that I checked in for about 15 min early. I was done with the whole experience and walking out of the building at about 10:35. Not sure about how that is going at Disneyland.

I'm trying not to read the detailed reviews so I can be somewhat surprised. Could someone who's done this tell me more or less what's involved physically? Are you seated/standing/walking? I'm trying to figure out if this would be ok for someone recovering from an injury who can't move around very quickly, or if we would be better served waiting until they are fully healed, which could be awhile. Also, does anyone know how long this is supposed to be sticking around?

You are walking from room to room. The floor vibrates in some rooms. In one room you sit on a bench. The gear that your wearing weighs about 15 lbs. Not sure how long it’s sticking around. Disney Springs has already put up additional dates but they have not for the Downtown Disney location yet.

I have seizures and I was totally fine. Because I have seizures I suffer from some light and sound sensitivity, but I was okay. My only complaint is I wish they kept score so you could see how well you did. It would also encourage people to try again to beat their score.

Thanks, that's really helpful! So you're just walking from room to room, not rushing, maneuvering, crouching, or anything like that, right? If so that sounds pretty manageable.

Nope. Just walking no running or rushing. In a few rooms the floor vibrates to simulate going up or down. And your in each room for anywhere from 30-120+ seconds.

Like @dina444444 I can only comment on the Disney Springs version (since we did the VR together), you are going room to room. I wouldn't say you were rushing, but when it was time to move to the next room, you pretty much went there. I don't remember any crouching, but I was sort of shielding myself on the side of walls at times. This was a really fun experience. I was more concerned about the VR and it causing motion sickness. But overall, I think this was extremely mild and I didn't really have any bad affects.

Thanks for answering my questions with minimal spoilers! Now I feel pretty confident it won't be a problem. The reason I wasn't sure was because my sister did an immersive zombie experience a while back (totally different experience from a different company in a different city, but still VR/immersive), and she told me she had to crawl through a tunnel and lost her glasses. That just got me wondering how serious they are about "total immersion".
