Ok maybe this is a weird question, we are staying DVC at Poly for the first time (renting points) and I was wondering if the music is piped in all the way down to Moorea building? I know strange question but its the little thing you know? I adore the music, and use to love being able to go out on balcony and enjoy it.. You could also hear the Wishes sound track do they do that with the new fireworks?

Has it been confirmed which buildings are in the new Pool/Marina view category? I know it's easy to assume from the map, but I'm wondering if there are any reports from people actually checking in with this category.

Thanks!

Hi! We are book for our first Poly stay Nov 29th - Dec 3rd, a short weekend trip for my DS’s 12th Birthday! I have a couple questions. First, is there a benefit to not doing online check in? We won’t being flying in until evening, hopefully by 6:00ish. My DS has requested O’hana and I’m hoping a 8:00ish dinner is possible for our arrival day. Second, we are staying in DVC deluxe studio room, how often are room requests met? Last year at POR we didn’t get our request so I’m hoping this year we will. I’ve requested Tokelau, like everyone else I’m sure. Is the request reason enough to do online check in?

Thanks for the help! I’m so excited about finally staying at Poly!

Are you using DME? I would worry about making a 8:00 PM Reservation with a 6:00 PM arrival. DME can take awhile plus there is a chance of flight delay. Also factor in deplaning time. I would look for at least 9:00 if not later (or another night).

We are staying at the Poly in August and just can’t decide whether or not to go Club Level. We can afford it but I’m not sure if we will enjoy it that much more than when we have stayed at the Poly before without CL? We have 3 kids (4,8&9) and are early risers and usually take a mid day swim break.

I keep thinking that doing the Halloween party (if possible) and doing early morning magic are still much cheaper than adding club level.

Excited to report we will be in a DVC lake view studio in 56 days! I just did online check in and requested an upper floor; hope we get it! Stayed there the first two nights they were open and have wanted to go back since!

Went to Disney last year in December with DH, DD and her friend. Loved being there for all the Christmas decorations. I always wanted to stay at the Poly. My DH wanted to go back this year with just the two of us around the same time. So we just booked the Poly CL Nov 26 to Dec 4th. We decided to splurge since we probably won't be back for a while. We like to do different things. So looking forward to it.

Room request question...

Can we use Touring Plans to make a room request even if we booked our resort room through a TA??

Thanks! ;)

I think youll love it, we do, this will be our first Poly stay we wont be CL and Im afraid we will really miss it, the view from the lounge is hands down the best on property and I loved going in there early morning to get coffee and being alone hearing the hawaiin music in the background watching the sun come up over the GF, MK and CR.. So beautiful, besides being able to grab breakfast, waters, sodas, snack, desserts was very convenient.
Also once I left a camera at a restaurant in Epcot didn't know until we got back to the resort. I alerted Concierge and they sent a courier over to get it during the night and brought it to me the next morning!! Awesome service!

The days will go fast and you will be arriving at the Poly before you know it! Have a great trip :wizard:.

Hi, I would say yes. The only side note being if your TA made a room request with Disney reservations at the time of booking, make sure they don't conflict. :) Also, make sure you have the Disney reservation # entered in the TP room request, and not the TA's confirmation number (if they are different, some agencies have their own set of confirmation numbers they give a client, and not the Disney one).

OMG! I can't believe it-we are heading back to the Poly!

We weren't even going to WDW this year. Then the Disney itch started so I booked a trip in celebration of DS's college graduation. We were going to stay at CSR. I kept reading about some good deals through a TA so contacted them. The Poly is of course more than CSR, but for what we are getting it's not too much more. I'm BEYOND excited!!

DS thinks we are staying at CSR and I'm going to keep this a secret and surprise him. Can't wait!!

We use to always request Tokelau, but now that's DVC. I'm requesting Rarotonga-looks like it's close to everything-anyone have good/bad experiences there? It's been a long, long time since we've stayed at the Poly I have some catching up to do!

From what I’ve read even if you do online check in you can still go into the lobby and get the leis...I think they’re waiting when the ME pulls up. Hopefully this is right because it was my plan for our Feb visit :)
Also we’re getting there the same day!
We stayed poly cl in 2016. Noone greeted us from the me. We got the leis when we checked in to cl. They were giving them out at the check in desk. The year before we stayed in a regular room at wl and we were greeted off the me and taken to the comfy chairs to check in. I think it's just hit or miss.

The two times we've "gone home" I requested upper floor, then called three days before we arrived and asked for 3rd floor. Got it both times, although the second time (this most recent visit) we wound up in a handicap accessible room which was... interesting. But oh, that view!!!! :cloud9:

We love poly CL. CL is really my kids only request when we discuss resorts at disney, lol. They are older, 10 and 13, and love having a lounge. We've stayed BC and Poly lounge and poly was far better. It is so nice waking up and just walking to the lounge for coffee. No going outside. It makes getting ready in the am so much easier. We eat breakfast in the lounge most mornings. It's great because my 1r yo needs food instantly and my 10yo likes to wait. We would grab him a muffin for later when he was ready to eat. It's great for extra space. We aren't park commandos so having the lounge during the day was a great benefit. You will love it if you do it.

How is the handicapped accessible room interesting? Could you describe the differences?

We leave in about 12 days! Yay!

Question: We are on the regular dining plan. We will likely eat lunch or dinner at Captain Cook's twice. Now that alcohol is included, I see there is a margarita on the menu. I don't drink beer and wine, so I wondered what this is. Is it a bottled drink? Anyone know the brand? I've also heard you can use a QS credit at Oasis Bar & Grill (which has excellent drinks available). Is that true?

Hi,

I would like to book a deluxe studio at the hotel for the following period : 04/17 to 23/04.

For that period, there is no deluxe studios available but if I try 04/17 to 24/04, then it shows that there is a deluxe studios available.

Is there a reason for that ? Even if I added a day to the period, I don't want to try to book something that is not available.

I can't phone to the USA and there is no live helpdesk on the Disneyworld webiste.

Thanks.
