Pop Century Room Renovations

Any news on bldg 5? We are going in three weeks and really hoping for some renovated preferred pool view rooms to open up. Does anyone know what section of 5 they are working on? Thanks!!!!

Still looking for info on best preferred pool view rooms. Should I do ground floor or go higher? Didn’t really want a pool view due to the noise but that was all that was available when I booked. Thanks for any info you can share.

29 days and counting!!

A ground floor room normally has additional foot traffic going in front of their room as people move about.

Is there a list in order of resort stops? Where does Pop fall in that order?
My personal experience over the last 5 trips or so has been our bus stops at AoA first then Pop second. It can change but I know that is one of their regular routes.

We are getting our own luggage because of flying in at 5:40 pm. Will that significantly add time to our trip?

We're flying in at 5:30pm and I was thinking of letting them handle our luggage. Now you have me second guessing that! Does it take a long time for them to get it to your room? We're planning to head to DS to activate our Canadian Resident tickets so we're planning to be gone most of the evening anyway but I don't want them delivering my luggage at midnight!

I'm confused why you wouldn't let them handle your luggage-you can arrive up until 10 and they take care of it. I pack jammies/essentials/clean shirt, underwear for the next day in case all hades breaks out.

We arrive 9:30 PM on Sunday are are planning on letting them handle our bags.

If you've done online check in and get a text that your room is ready before you get, where do you get your parking pass? Do you still need to go to the check in desk and pick it up?

I've had 2 experiences where we arrived between 7 and 9pm and it took 5+ hours each time for our luggage to be delivered. Since I was travelling with a toddler at the time I had things in my luggage I needed for our day in the park so asked for our luggage to be delivered regardless of what time it arrived. Once it was midnight and once 2:30am. I will say I did not sleep soundly until the luggage was in our room and I had unpacked and prepared for our first park day.

Not saying my experience of delays is normal, I just know from firsthand experience that delays can happen so each person needs to determine what's best for them.

If you're planning on heading right to DS and don't need your luggage I would let them handle my luggage if it were me. It's a personal decision but if I were in your shoes I'd let Disney take care of the luggage for me.

Thank you! It does seem easier to just let Disney do it. My thought was to just throw a few essentials into our carry on bags in case there was a huge delay in luggage delivery.

We are packing a small collapsible backpack inside of our carry on backpacks, and we will each have a change of clothes and toiletries, in case our luggage doesn't get delivered in a timely fashion. Will check in at the resort, move park essentials into the collapsible backpack, and then drop the regular backpacks off with Bell Services while we head to the park (in case our room isn't ready at check in time).
