Do the disneyland hotels have last minute discounts?

A lot of harbor hotels will offer last minute deals if you are booking within 24 hours of your stay just to fill more rooms. i was wondering if the Disneyland hotels offer the same deals or opportunities.

No. The DLR resort hotels are not a commodity like the Harbor hotels, they are a premium experience constantly at 90% occupancy.

No but you can get an extra discount by booking through Orbitz or Cheaptickets and using one of their promo codes. They stack with any discounts Disney is offering if you can find availability! (Watch the details on the coupons, some have caps starting at $150, others don't.)

How does this work exactly? I'm looking for two nights at the beginning of August(2nd-4th)for the PPH & would love to get a discount! Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated:) Feel free to PM details if that's better for you.

Gottalovepluto can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Orbitz will eventually get the discounted rate Disney will offer (if one exists), and then you can stack with the Orbitz current promo code. Right now it's INSPIRE for 15% off (mods-- delete if this is against any rules to post a promo code). I just checked and it looks like Orbitz only has 2 standard rooms left at PPH, so you may want to book soon.

You don't really get to stack the discount. But shortly after the discounts are announced, Orbits and Cheap Tickets will update the prices to reflect the discounted prices from Disney. Then you can use the Orbitz or Cheap Tickets discount. I can't see it's a problem posting the code since it's a generic public code, readily available on their website.

It's also possible to break your reservation down into 2 parts to double that $150 cap. However, you do then risk needing to change rooms. However, I called and asked them to connect the 2 reservations and they were able to keep us in the same room.

Ok so you're saying make two separate reservations, one for each night to get $150 off for each night? The 15% off doesn't equal $150 off for standard rooms at PPH does it? I'm confused :/ Or is the $150 off would be if later Disney offered a discount on top of Orbitz's 15% off promo code? How do I apply that after I've already reserved the room? Call & add it via Orbitz if my dates are available or do I have to cancel & rebook through Orbitz? Sorry for all the questions, obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about! Any advice or exact details you could give me would be super helpful TIA :)@mom2rtk @StarlitNight05 Thanks for the promo code!

OK, for a 2 night stay, you won't hit the max, so no need to split it up. We were staying 5 nights so we did.

You can't add any Orbitz code after the fact. You have to enter the code at time of booking and pay in full. You would have to cancel any prior reservation and rebook (once again paying in full while waiting for your first reservation to be credited back).

That makes sense about not splitting up the reservations...so if Disney were to offer a discount for my summer dates ie. a certain percentage off that would automatically reflect on their price & then if Orbitz had a promo code for like 15% off I could apply that as well but I would have to cancel my current reservation & rebook right???

Yes. But the discounted prices don't update right away on Orbitz if I recall properly. It takes a little bit for the prices to drop.

Yes.

And I pulled a cap of $150 out of thin air to make the point the fine print sometimes includes caps. Sorry for the confusion. Sign up for Orbitz and Cheaptickets emails. They will include the fine print on offers telling you if there is a cap on the savings.

Also, when you book see if there is a cancellation fee. I don't think there are on DLR hotels but they did toy around with $25 cancellation fees for WDW hotels so I always take that into consideration. It will tell you in the terms prior to booking if there is a fee.

If you are willing to pay the price with today's discount book it now. If not wait & watch. IF Disney runs a sale it can take up to a week to work through to 3rd parties. But idk if they discount rooms that early in Aug? Sounds too early to me but I don't have time to review previous late summer / early fall discounts right now.

You might have pulled $150 right out of thin air, but it's exactly what I encountered when I was booking last year.

How do you find out about the last minute deals on Harbor? Do you subscribe to all their email lists? We are a first time AP family and I could be persuaded to make a last minute trip if there was a good deal on a hotel. :-)

We booked our stay at GCH for this past Christmas with Expedia. We booked quite close to the dates (so it was pricey lol) but Ebates was offering 8% cash back with a completed hotel stay booked through Expedia so it was something at least. The cash just hit my ebates account a few days ago and it was over $200.
