January 2018..... who will be there?

Last night we had a big celebration dinner that was a bit too much for me. I was feeling better but it was a day too early for it, but I had ressie for Monday night so had to go. We tried to use Minnie Van to get back after dinner but that was a bust. I think it was too busy but the Lyft app just kept spinning. We ditched and took monorail and boat back. Got home way too late. The good thing is dinner had some digestion time.

Got up late because I did not have to run today, but we did have to work. Here is the office.

It was really nice outside today and quite busy at work. We also had visitors

They were quite daring but yeti never saw them.

One more marathon thing. We got special 25th anniversary running ears. I got yeti to model.

The original plan was to cook tonight, but we were also supposed to go to the grocery store this weekend. Neither of those things happened. Need to find some place for dinner.
I'm glad the weather has improved enough to move the office outside. You deserve some warm temps and relaxation this week. Sorry it was too soon for a visit with Vicky and Al. That's funny about Yeti missing the turkeys even with Mal barking. He looks cute though not happy in the mickey ears!

One of these days, Kris, I'm gonna fire up my work laptop and attempt a connection to our corporate VPN.

If I could get a day of work done sitting outside on my site in 100 loop, I'd be DANGEROUS.

PS - poor Yeti, having to model the ears ...

Yeah I have to say it’s not a terrible day when that pic is my office. Plus the weather was supposed to rain and while it did slightly in the morning, we stayed out the whole time. I think the dogs appreciated it, they have been cooped up. Looks like tomorrow we might have the same office.

I'll take that office any day. I haven't had a window in my office in years. I have to walk down the hall to see if it is day light or raining or whatever. I may have to work a little on my February trip. The dean from my old Master's program offered me a job teaching in that program. Yesterday was my first day teaching data mining to Informatics grad students. It's all online, so I can certainly do it from Kris and Bert's porch. The weekend I get to WDW in February their final is due, so I need to a little work grading them.

Jim good thing I reread your post The used to be just you visited after you came in the East Gate and was down the hill behind our barracks in 76/77 . Brought back more than a few memories. In 79 after I got discharged I was trying to get back in but wanted a transfer from Upstate NY and hoped my friend and former boss could help ( he got same answer I did) I went and fished that pier the day a hurricane hit the next day it was gone

KRIS Great Office Love
your co-workers Yeti looks good with your ears But not too sure about the open door policy

Disney trip update. Last night only Prefered and Tent sites available, but this morning at 5 days out a Full site was available so we will be in a Full. Changed because of not knowing how our tent and ez-up would fit.

Nice evening here in Destin. Sitting out on my parents patio. Temp is 61 and no wind. Did not do much running around today but tomorrow will be a different story.
A few pics from the Harbourwalk.

No update from yesterday because it was pretty boring. The weather sucked it was wet so the office was inside. We did finally get to Walmart for groceries and we needed some RV antifreeze as it will be in the 20s when we get back to Atlanta and the rig will have to sit out for sure at least one night. Walmart was out of the 4 bottles of antifreeze they probably stock. We went to camping world at 6:45. Guess when camping world closes? 6. Needless to say we are going to have to go back out. We were able to use the traveling fire pit one last time, so we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. We had a good fire going.

Today is the last day of work this week. About 11 we were able to move the office outside. We will sit here till my last meeting is over at 6. Dinner tonight is at Jiko and then tomorrow some time in Epcot to enjoy the festival of the arts.

Are you going to Rahul's race on Sat?

going to try but not sure how it will work out. we have a lot of stuff to do to break down camp and we need to be on the road early sunday.

@Boomer1 let me know your site number and we will drop off the traveling fire pit. We pull out on Sunday morning. We can drop it off on Saturday.

Kris sorry you had to confine yourselves to the indoor office yesterday. I saw that Orlando was expecting rain on the news yesterday and was wondering. Hope better weather called for over next 2 days will allow for more time outside to exercise the ROCK STARS. Looks like the traveling fire pit is being made good use of and getting lot's of pass around

Today we went over to Panama Beach to Pier Park

Then came back to Destin. When we got back there was dense fog that is hanging around til tomorrow morning. My sister stopped by and had drinks for about an hour. She is going to pick up Savannah for lunch and take her back to work with her some they can spend some time together before we go and spend the night with them Friday night. We will be leaving Destin Saturday night to make our way over to the Fort for a 6 am check-in.

We made it outside today but everything was wet. Now the dogs are too. I brushed Mallory out but it smells like wet dog in here. Dinner was Jiko. It was good. Again our server was on par with CA Grille really nice and personable but a little scattered. I will say all the food was good.

Tomorrow is Epcot but the weather is agin calling for rain all afternoon. Temperatures start to fall on Saturday.

Here is yeti busy at work.

Mallory was keeping me on my toes.

Oh sure Kris put up a picture of Yeti resting after hour of relentlessly guarding and securing your site from marauding bands of Turkeys with that drug fueled Flamingo leader not to mention Tiggerdad's little pillaging and looting gang

Our plans for our stay at the Fort are:
Sunday morning check-in and running over to garneska’s site so DD can meet the rockstars and I can meet Bert and Kris before they pull out. Then we will go over and have breakfast at Whispering Canyon, go over to the storage unit and get our gear. Dinner will be GAG.

Saturday the 20 will be Whispering Canyon breakfast and TE for dinner, then back to WC for our departure day on the 26.

I am working on a ressie with a friend for Splitsville at the springs, not sure what day yet, I am letting him set that up as he knows the owners. The rest of the time we will be cooking at the site.

We will be spending some time driving back and forth to Cocoa to see the sites and how much damage was done during the hurricane. We will have a couple days at Aquatica and the rest of the time we will be at the Fort or the Springs.
