Let's make it official-July 3-10 Magic DIS Meet!!TIME CHANGE

I hope I am not "stepping on anyone's toes" but I thought I would set a date, time and place for a DIS meet on the Magic July 3-10 Seven Night Western!!

I have never been on DCL let alone planned a meet, so I am going on what I have read on other threads. If this time, day, and place will just not work, please let me know or post it and we can make changes. For now, let's plan a DIS Meet:


Sunday July 4 (Key West Day)
10:00 am-10:30am
Deck 7 Aft, small "secret" veranda at the rear of the ship



I think this will give us all time to sleep in and/or have breakfast plus time to get ready for the Key West docking.

A fellow DISer made me aware that according to a fairly recent Navigator, a DVC meet/gathering (not sure of the correct wording) is being held at this time. Since I know many DISers are also DVCers (us included) this may be a conflict.

Shall we change the time to 11am for the DIS meet????? (and keep the same day and place)


Oh-so much to do and so little time!!

How about a compromise? Those who want to start earlier, show up at 10:00. With all that may be going on, we may end up staggering comings and goings til 11:00 or later. May dh, dfil and dbil have an excursion that meets at 12:00. I imagine alot of folks will. Why don't we make it a "DIS OPEN HOUSE ",( or deck as the case will be)?

My son is 11. Interests are soccer, Playstation, reading, Basketball. Silly and outgoing personality.

My daughter is age 6. Very girly ballet dancer. Makes freinds very easily.


Also, hubby does'nt seem that interested in attending the High Tea. It might be nice to meet up with another lady or two to enjoy that with! I am a 35, at home Mom (at the moment) with a artistic background.

My son is 10, loves football, basketball, and baseball, all video games, and reading for pleasure not for school. A friend of his went on the Western in April and he has found out what the "in" game is in the club, which he asked for his birthday. He has been practicing! We are from Maryland.

As for the meet- Deck 7 aft, secret veranda

I originally suggested Key West am (Sunday) 10:00-10:30 but I found out that the DVC member gathering is that same time. I know a few DISers (myself included) want to go to that.

I suggested moving it to 11:00-11:30 that same morning.

Another DISer made a suggestion of simply "dropping by" from 10am on.

I am really game for anything and never planned a meet or have been on DCL so I am just winging it with the time and place. It is a way to put a name with a face, say hello, and it really would be fun to run into familiar faces throughout the cruise.

Again-anything is fine. I just got the ball rolling!
