NEWS 5/17: Late 2019 itineraries released - link in post #1 (2020 watch thread will start soon)

Yes it's nice to put down less money on something that's so far away.

That's true! Then I think it's nice to have X amount paid when I book. But since we have plenty of time to pay it off I wasn't too worried about it since it's so far away.

I'm trying to catch up on 30 odd pages... Please tell me I haven't missed opening day for summer 2019 cruises? I didn't cruise this year so haven't been on the dis since summer 2016... It's still February time like usual for summer 2019? Please say yes

You're safe, they've only announced and opened through to May 2019 so far.

Newbie here. When do you guess they will announce Star Wars Day at Sea for 2019?

Anyone curious about the EBTA 2019? I'd love to see what the ports are. (eta: I see it ends in Rome on 5/28 - just curious what they will do pre-Rome)

Does anyone think it’s a possibility that the TA intinerary will be released between 1/28 and 2/8? I’ll be on the Wonder at that time and hoping to be able to book a WBTA for 2019 when onboard. Fingers crossed!:woohoo::woohoo:

They wouldn't release the WBTA in that batch, the one that is next is the EBTA. WBTA would come out usually with the Fall 2019 batch.

We were on board the Magic in May 2017 and they released the WBTA 2018 then if that helps.

I know it's a guess as to what they will release, but historically, is there a Canadian cruise in June/July/August? (Eastern side, not Vancouver)

No, not historically (and likely not for the foreseeable future). The Magic is over in Europe during the summer and, most recently, has ported in NYC following the WBTA in September where she stays through the fall (there are some Canadian cruises during this period). The Wonder is in Alaska during the summer months, the Fantasy is doing the Eastern/Western/Southern Caribbean routes and the Dream is doing the shorter Bahamas trips.

Are you sure that the EBTA will end in Rome? Usually, the transAtlantic ends in Barcelona and then the 1st Mediterranean is a Barcelona to Rome itinerary. Would love for the EBTA to end in Rome, just seems too much to hope for!

Yes, In 2017 , the Magic cruised Northern Europe before heading south to the Mediterranean. In 2018, the Magic will go to the mediterranean first and the EBTA ends in Barcelona. In 2019, Disney is evidently going south first again. I guess we will know soon enough.

We were on the ebta 2016, ending in dover. Really hoping for cruises ending here/or round trips as we live just an hour away, have 2 v young kids and hate flying.... Not looking likely is t?

The WBTA 2018 starts in Dover :)

ETA: Looks like the 7 night Norwegian Fjords on 8/26/18 and 7 night British Isles on 9/2/18 also start and end in Dover.

I’d love to sail the Norwegian Fjords but they are always scheduled too early or too late in the summer to accommodate our school schedules:(
Fingers crossed for July or early August in 2019!

Same issue here. Even though our kids are still very young (10m old and 2y) we both work in a college! Hubby cannot take mid aug - mid Sept off either as he is the systems director for the enrollment etc so most busy time of year. It's really rubbish for DCL itineraries from the UK :(
