Every year we stay at the Fort Wilderness, but rent a cabin. This year we are bringing our new travel trailer. We know our favorite cabin loop, but need some help with picking the best RV loop. We will have a golf cart and would like to be near a comfort station with laundry. We would also like to be more towards Trails End area. We have a 37ft trailer. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

400 or 700 loop would be my recommendation. If 400, try and see if you can get sites 416-420 as I believe they were closest to the path that leads to the comfort station. You'll have to wait and see if they are available on your arrival day. 400 entrance is just across from the path leading off the main road to Trail's End. To be honest, with you having a golf cart, I might suggest distancing yourself to the 900 loop which I highly recommend. Comfort stating right at the entrance of the loop and the Meadow's is right across the road with the pool close by as well. Those two (400 and 900) are my favorites.

second that on 700, I have a 42' fiver and though I loved 400, it took me a long while to get backed in, but that was in 06, picture attached. they may have improved it when they made premium loops, Tiggerdad, did they improve it?

31 days implies you already have a site reserved. What type is it? Premium/Preferred/Full? The answers above refer specifically to Premium sites as FYI. Just want to make sure we guide you accurately.

800 and 900 (Premium) are our favorites. Nice spacious sites, close to Meadow. I second the opinion that, with a golf cart, there is really no need to be "close". Be aware that, if you are thinking of a Preferred loop, a fair number of those sites my be challenging for a rig of your size.

100 or 200, if you booked preferred. Both are small loops so the comfort station is not far away and you can walk to the boat dock

We are reserved for Premium Site.

If you have a reservation for a full hook up site what should be your options on the check in web page?
I appreciate the response.

I like to ask for a site near the elevator or stairs. Beyond that all I ask for is a site in the 1600 or 1800 loops to be nearer the canal for dog walking

FWIW, we never do pre-check in (your check-in will be completed prior to arrival).I prefer to check-in upon arrival, where I can easily request a change to the assigned site if desired; (asking very nicely of course) what other sites or loops/sites might be available. We ask for a site near the back of our favorite loops and have never been disappointed. The CMs will usuall do everything in their power to make you happy. We never expect a certain site or a particular loop. Flexibility is the key.

I was curious as to what folks see online when they do the online checkin. I only have near transportation, slide out, awning that’s it. I have no loop request line available. Is that all you see?

Yes it is, you have to call to have them add a request for a loop to your reservation.

When should we call and ‘request’ a loop and I do know it is just a request and not guaranteed

Some insiders (have actually worked in front desk at FW) have suggested calling FW at about 5-7 days out. They assign your site at about 5 days out.

Yep, it's no guarantee, but doesn't hurt to try.
