No fireworks in January and February?

I bought my first annual pass at the end of February last year so I wasn't around this time of year least year. I don't see any fireworks on the entertainment schedule after this Sunday, not even on weekends. Is that typical for this time of year?

No, it’s not. There are usually weekend fireworks(fri-sun) during this time of year. It’s likely they haven’t decided which show they are going to do before the Pixar fireworks begin on April 13. My guess is if we have fireworks they will either be the 4.5 minute fantasy in the sky or RDCT will return again.

I wish they would hurry up and post something! We are going at the end of January and I keep checking every day! We specifically planned a weekend visit just for fireworks! I’m freaking out that there won’t be any! it’s my husbands first Disney anything and I need him to see the magic! Lol

I am in the same boat. I went and tried to book a tomorrowland terrace spot. They are listed on the Fri, Sat and Sun of every week so my guess is that they are just waiting to announce which one. They finally put Frozen: Live on the calendar for dates after 1/14 on yesterday so my guess is we should know something soon...

I emailed them and just got this bad news from Disneyland Guest Services. I hope they change their minds :(
Dear Randy,

Thank you for your email to the Disneyland® Resort.

Unfortunately, fireworks will not be offered during the month of
January.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have the
opportunity to visit the Disneyland® Resort soon and trust your visit
will be pleasant in all regards.

Sincerely,

Linda Trump

I know this doesn't count, but Disneyland After Dark is supposedly having fireworks on January 18, according to the description of Throwback Nite. Even if you leave before the event starts, you could probably see them from outside the gate. I'm surprised they didn't mention this.

Edited to add: Oh, also, who knows when the fireworks would actually be? So you might be waiting for a while.

They will be before 9:45pm. Per city regulations the fireworks have to be done by 10pm.

I know I should probably know this but how do those things affect the fireworks?
They are doing road work on the entire trolley track which means that it will obstruct the entire viewing area for the fireworks. There will likely be walls up around the entire track. It also explains why the Flag Retreat ceremony will be on hiatus till mid February after this weekend.

If they don't do the effects on the castle, you can watch the fireworks from just about anywhere in the park. Beat no fireworks at all.
