Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We had a reservation at the YC and after seeing the picture/reading the review, I rang Disney last night. After speaking to several cast members who couldn't give a definitive answer I was finally put through to someone who was extremely helpful. They did state that dogs are being allowed to stay in rooms on the club level floor but not the lounge.

Did they happen to say whether only certain rooms on the CL floor are designated as “dog rooms”?

Thanks for calling. getting confirmation of what's going on, and sharing it with the rest of us. We have heard that before, and I'm guessing that that is the policy at this point even if they are doing their best to not make this easy to find out.

Confirms the photo.

I totally agree.
I think it's pretty disrespectful to guests for Disney to try to keep the truth "quiet". CL isn't cheap. Guests should be given the facts upfront.

I just got off the phone with Guest Services (they didn't know YC's specific pet policy) and YC's Signature Services, as well...

Straight from Signature Services - YC does not have designated pet rooms/floors. Dogs are welcome in any room of the resort, including CL, because of the Tetris nature of the reservation system. It's not feasible to block a section for pet-only rooms. Their solution to non-pet guests or those with pet-related health issues is deep cleaning, which could be added to our reservation.

So, honest question, how does the system block ADA rooms? Why can't they designate pet rooms by creating another category like they do with standard/garden/waterview?

Just did my final payment for YC club level for 12/15-22/18. :yay: We stayed Club level at Boardwalk 7 years ago so looking forward to that experience again. My DD 13 has a food allergy to Blue #1 and Red #40 dyes. (She breaks into hives.) Do the clubs have books with ingredients? Does anyone have experience with club level and food allergies and how to best address?

I did ask if there would be pet specific rooms on the club level floor and they were unsure. Due to this response I would expect that dogs could be booked into any rooms.

I've changed our ressie again - we're now in our favourite boardwalk view at BWI! I do have another query. It states on the Disney website that the view could be of crescent lake, boardwalk or boardwalk inn gardens? Does a boardwalk view not guarantee an actual view of the boardwalk?

I know all of the deluxe rooms have boardwalk views but assumed that as I'd booked a boardwalk view then that's what I'd get!

WL did have a book with ingredients for everything they put out! I would think other lounges have the same.

At this point, I'm doubtful that "designated dog rooms" even exist at the Yacht Club.

Well, that answers that. Pets allowed in all rooms in all categories. So much for Disney's assurances to the contrary. The lies and omissions are even worse than the policy itself.

Hello there! I've been searching for YC CL experiences and found your post, among others, that expressed disappointment when comparing it to other resort CLs. Would you mind elaborating on your experience? I had a wonderful time at AKL CL in the spring - great food offerings, adult beverages available throughout the day (upon request, but still available), super friendly CMs, and the lounge didn't close between services - and it seems like YC CL is going to be a huge disappointment in comparison. There's no availability for me to change my resort at this point (and still stay within walking distance of Epcot for NYE), so I'm trying to prepare myself as best I can. TIA!
Hi there, so sorry for the delayed response. I will start by saying that it wasn't a horrible experience, just not as good as we expected, or as good as what we have had in other concierge lounges, Disney and elsewhere. Here were my major disappointments: 1) no personal welcome, check-in or offer for a welcome drink (I was really looking forward to that). We stepped off the elevator with our luggage, they checked us off of a list and said "have a great day!"...ok? 2) I was basically blown off by the staff when I inquired about safe food for my kiddo with a serious food allergy. She basically didn't eat in the lounge while we were there. Thank goodness we were only there for three nights and when we moved to WL, they were amazing with her allergy 3) the staff were "ok" but any time we asked for a beverage or even asked a question, we felt as if they were annoyed 4) I saw the chef once during evening service, for like 15 seconds 5) the lounge itself is small and feels very cramped.

I hope this helps. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't stay there again, but it will never be my first choice. We stayed at Beach Club, CL in September and it was worlds better than YC.

The lounge experiences are so variable, that's why a lot of posters recommend you pick your resort based on where you want to be most of the time.

My relatives stayed at YC CL in the spring and they got a welcome drink, personal welcome, and great service during their stay. When the CMs found out what day they were leaving, they made sure to tell them that they could still visit the lounge the entire day of their departure day.

The food also changes regularly, so a menu you love may be completely different the next time you stay. The only things that are consistent are the property location and pools/grounds so that is the safest way to choose. Everything else you have to cross your fingers. Unfortunate, but true.

Does anyone out there know what the availability of beer and wine is at the Regatta Club (YC CL) through the day? At AKL earlier this year, I was able to request mimosas at breakfast and wine with midday/early afternoon snacks, and other CLs seem to offer drinks through the afternoon as well. Everything I've found for YC makes it seem like those beverages aren't available until 5:00. Is that accurate?
They got drinks for my relatives earlier than 5pm at YC. You just have to ask. If they say no, I would ask another CM.

@AggieRach99 , I’ve always heard amazing things about WL CL, but your experience makes me nervous! We have it booked for next December, but wondering if that isn’t the right move!

DH and I were at WL CL in October and found the staff great and had no problems with them getting us drinks etc. In fact a couple times DH asked if they could leave the cap on the beer bottle instead of opening it and they said sure no problem. I would still stay at WL For your trip next December!

We just returned from a nice (and warm) stay at the Beach club and then a few days at the PBR at Universal and I wanted to do a quick chime in on the dog sightings while at the resort since it shares with the YC. This is for info only, I love dogs and have always had at least one but not a big fan of Disney's new policy. I think this was our 15th trip in 26 years and before this trip I could have counted the number of dogs spotted at Disney on one hand.

Within an hour of arrival we saw a mini poodle coming out of the International Gateway and would see this dog again the next morning inside the Boardwalk bakery. I also saw a small dog walking into Club cool in EPCOT and a different one being carried down main street in the MK. None of these dogs had any service dog harnesses on. I did see a German Shepard with a service vest on in the MK and two other large dogs wearing muzzles on the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge. Early on our last morning I saw a small bulldog walking on the walkway by the water by Stormalong bay. During our short trip I think my husband and I counted at least eight different dogs around our resort and in the parks. They didn't bother us or impact my stay in any way but I will say I was really surprised by the number of obvious pets that I saw inside the parks.

None of these dogs had any service dog harnesses on.

Just an FYI...service dogs are not required to wear any kind of vest. There is lots of good info regarding service dogs on the ADA website. And conversely, anyone could purchase a service vest for their pet, making it appear to be a service dog if they chose to do so.

Q8. Do service animals have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animals?

A. No. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness.
