Hi!
We bought 5 tickets during the 35% off Canadian ticket sale last spring, but now my in-laws are backing out of the trip for health reasons and we have 2 tickets that we won't use. They cost us 470$ each.... so far Disney has told me they are non refundable... does anyone know if I have other options??? HELP!!

You can use the value or the ticket towards the purchase of another multi-day ticket that is of greater value. The new tickets can be saved for a future trip.

I was told my tickets expire end of 2018.... so this isn't accurate? They can be saved for a future trip? I can't sell them to anyone else? We already bought a 6 day park hopper pass, not sure we are willing to bring it to 7 days or more.... even then, that wouldn't be of greater value.

Your tickets will expire but they retain their value which can be applied towards tickets of higher value.

You’d only be able to sell these tickets to a fellow Canadian. You may want to also post your concerns on the Canadian Board or I can move this thread there for you.

Are these Disney World tickets of Disneyland? The WDW Canadian tickets don't expire until 2030 (eta and that's what popped up when I first added them to MDE but there's no expiry stated on them at all which is in accordance with the advertising). The Disneyland ones expire in 2018.

Please. Sorta new to Disney stuff and I am sorta lost in all this information and fine print. :) Very appreciated.

My tickets are for Disney World. I hope that the 2030 is accurate.... if I can't find a way to sell them, than at least I could keep them for a future trip. :) Fingers crossed.

Yes, the Canadian Exchange Vouchers are valid thru till Dec 31, 2030. You can keep them until a later trip no problem! Sorry your plans have changed but you can relax now about the extra $$ you laid out. If you think there is a chance you will ever go again, i would suggest finding a safe place to store the vouchers because you'd have a large part of your cost already covered.

Don't they have names attached to the vouchers? I could have sworn when I purchased 2 Dsneyland CND resident tickets my name was attached to them. I'm not sure.

If not, I might be interested as well!

Nope no names attached. I have a few both purchased direct and with AM. Just age related, youth and adult. Free to sell, exchange, give away to fellow Canadians. They will need to show passport to exchange at window.
But if you plan to go sometime in the next 13years, I would hold onto them if you don't mind having that money tide upped. The tickets are not going to get any cheaper.

When I added my tickets to MDE I had to assign each ticket to someone but I am free to re-assign them until they've actually been used by someone. That being said, if I were the OP I'd hang on to them. Great excuse to take another trip in a few years. We presently have two sets: 4 day tickets for a trip this January and 8 day tickets for a trip in 2019.

Definitely good until 2030 (see pic - although I was told by Disney that they will NEVER expire). We bought 3 sets.

And if you hold on to them and use them for a trip in 2029, based on current rate of price escalations for Disney tickets, your $470 tickets will be worth (mupltply by 2, amortize 12 years, future cost of money calculation, plus inflation, carry the 8, devaluation of US currency, multiply by 10) 50 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

Seriously, holding tickets bought at a discount in today's dollars for future use is almost always a good deal. I'm just finishing off some No Expiry tickets bought 8 years ago, and can't believe what they cost now compared to then!

How many days are your vouchers for? $470 Canadian? I might be interested. :)
I still have them for sale. We really don't see going to WDW again. This was assumed a one in a life time vacation. The ticket have a name attached to them, but like other posters here have said, I can reassign the tickets to whoever purchases them. 2 x 6 days park hopper tickets. Willing to part with them for 400$ each. I guess contacting me by email would be best if you are still interested. monika@unikastudio.com :)

Might be interested too, depending on # of days :)

If I were you I would wait until after your trip to see if you still want to sell them. Most of us went on our once in a lifetime trip a few years ago....and we keep coming back. :) Seriously, you will kick yourself if you let them go just yet and you decide before your trip is even over that you want to start planning your next one. Prices are only going up up and up. So having those non expiring ones are like gold!

From what I've been told by Disney Staff and other Disney pros, is that the tickets aren't valid after 2019, the value of them (the price I paid) is valid till 2030. So essentially I am selling "gift cards" towards the purchase of tickets of a greater value. If they don't sell, I will keep them as "gift cards" towards new tickets for the future, but really don't feel like we will be choosing to go again.
