Upcoming port/itinerary changes HERE

I've never been to Jamaica, I understand there's a lot of drugs down there.

Jamaica is as safe as anywhere, as long as you stay on an escorted tour - either through DCL or a reputable vendor. But it's not a place to walk around by yourself.

Really!? I haven't been to a six flag in a couple decades, but I don't remember anything to the level of inappropriate I saw in Jamaica. To clarify, I am not referring to scantily clad people, I am talking about male genetalia printed on a tshirt, etc.
What we saw in Jamaica is nothing compared to the ***** statues and men with big ***** statues in Greece and Hawaii. It's something you get used to if you travel a lot like us.

Yes! And I suspect that part of kids keeping it up is how the parents react. I teach, and I learned really quickly that how I react to something affects how the kids react. If I freak out, they freak out and will keep doing it or bringing it up. If I am nonchalant about it (you can be firm without freaking out) they just get over it.

There is no need to freak out. We just laugh and so does our son. Keep it light and funny.

Right. But I have seen some parents freak out, so something the kids might not have even noticed suddenly becomes a big deal.

A slight change of topic. I was just wondering if this will push back DCL's release of their Winter 2019 cruise schedule? I was expecting it to come out in a few weeks but if they're having to adjust the upcoming schedule, will they delay their announcement on the distant future schedule?

When she does the Eastern out of PC - if it happens as scheduled - she has a port day in San Juan.
The Wonder will be headed back from San Juan to Port Canaveral via an Eastern itinerary. The Wonder will have finished at least three trips to the Southern Caribbean from San Juan. My family will be on the trip leaving 28 January 2018, we hope! Hurricane season isn't finished yet ...

We don't freak out either. But when it comes to boys and p****** they think itnis the funniest stuff ever. I wouldn't compare the raunchiness in jamaican gift shops to Grecian statues.

Yeah, really not the same. Although I've always enjoyed the stories of the Vatican imposing some leaves onto great statues of history in the collection because of the stark raving nudity.

Looks like the Eastern Caribbean Fantasy sailings for Sept. 23 & Oct. 7 have been changed to Western Itineraries with stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica as of the 1pm update on the website.

I just saw this. Does this mean no Castaway Cay?!?!?!

Any idea when we can book new shore excursions for new ports?

I just got an email for the Sept 23rd cruise. It has been changed to a western itinerary.

Day one: PC
Day two: Day at Sea
Day Three: Cozumel
Day Four: Grand Cayman
Day Five: Jamaica
Day Six: Day at Sea
Day Seven: CC
Then back to PC

Castaway Cay seems to be in working order, I guess they are just speaking of port changes not what was staying as is.
I would go look now for port excursions.

Good Luck and have fun!

Just got this email:

We are looking forward to sailing with you and want to provide you with an update on your cruise itinerary.

In order to enable the British and U.S. Virgin Islands the appropriate time to recover from the effects of Hurricane Irma, we have altered the itinerary for the September 23 and October 7 Disney Fantasy sailings to include ports in the Western Caribbean. The revised itinerary is below.

Saturday Port Canaveral
Sunday Day at Sea
Monday Cozumel, Mexico
Tuesday George Town, Grand Cayman - tender port
Wednesday Falmouth, Jamaica
Thursday Day at Sea
Friday Castaway Cay, Bahamas
Saturday Port Canaveral

We truly appreciate your understanding regarding this necessary itinerary change due to the storm recovery efforts taking place in the Eastern Caribbean.

Port Adventures that were pre-reserved in Tortola and St. Thomas will automatically be removed from your cruise activities, while those for Castaway Cay will remain as scheduled. Likewise, pre-reserved onboard activities are being adjusted to fit this revised itinerary. Should you wish to explore Port Adventure opportunities featured on this revised itinerary, please visit the My Cruise Activities section of our website at www.disneycruise.com after Friday, once all of the shore excursions and onboard activities are secured and available on the site. Modifications to your pre-arranged Cruise Activities and Port Adventures can be made online up to three days prior to your sailing.

Should you have any questions related to a future reservation, please contact your original booking agent or call us at 1-855-347-2784 or 407-566-7054.

We're on the Oct. 7 trip so I'm now starting from scratch for excursion research. If anyone has any specific favorites to recommend in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, or Jamaica, please let me know.
having been there on last 2 sailings (sigh) I can say nachi cocum is great, mr sanchos is awful...in cozumel. cayman is good to do on your own. we did a semi sub last time. jamaica we did nothing. was raining and the excursions require long travel times.
