2017 DISNEYLAND RESORT HALLOWEEN TIME / MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY THREAD!

I got my ticket for October 20th. I don't know what date to choose for the 3rd day I will be going. I'm going to try to go on September 29th or call in for a ticket for the 6th if they still have them. I have to wait to buy that ticket on the 1st of September. I have all 3 costumes made for all three days I'm going.

How busy is the first night that Halloween opens (15th)? Can you enjoy HM and GG or are the lines pretty insane.

They're offering the Blue Bayou Dining Package again this year. It includes reserved viewing of the Frightfully Fun Parade, but no reserved viewing of the fireworks. From what I can tell, any reservation after 4:00 pm on a party night is for the dining package (doesn't look like there is a non-dining package option after 4:00 pm). They did have the Mystical Spirits Premium Dining Package in 2015, which included fireworks viewing, but they didn't bring that back last year.

Where was last year's reserved parade viewing area for this package? I'm assuming it will be in the same place this year.

From what I have read, all the parties sell out, some sooner than others but the crowds will likely be maxed out every party night. Those 2 rides will have the longest lines, but maybe shorter than usual. You might just want to check the app now an then and if the lines look long, save them for later in the night since a lot of families with littles will probably have left. This all stuff I've read, I have not experienced a party yet myself. You also might be able to get a fast pass for them for right before the party starts? Like around 6 or 630 if the party starts at 7 for example. Maybe it will be darkish/spooky by then to enhance the effect and they'll set the mood for the party.

The opening of Halloween Time is a big deal! Last year, I know that the evening hours were very busy as soon as the local APs hit the park to see the decorations and to ride HMH and SMGG. The lines were indeed long for those two rides, but if you can get a FP earlier in the day, that should help.

While you are right about MHP, the PP is asking about the opening day of Halloween Time, not the first MHP, which is on Sept. 20th.

Last year, the reserved viewing was on Main Street from about half way down the Emporium to before the crossing near Carnation Cafe. There was another viewing area directly across Main Street (so probably from about the Main Street Cinema to the crossing in front of the Market House). Normally, the parade (MSEP/PtN) package viewing was down in Town Square, so I was surprised that this was in a better location. They haven't said where the viewing area will be this year.

Oops sorry, I read into that question maybe because it is a thread about the parties but should have read more carefully.

As luck would have it, my kids hate GG and HM :duck:so maybe we will have luck hitting the other rides and shows like Mickey Map while the local crowds are enjoying Halloween stuff!

As far as characters during the party - are the princesses who don't meet in the royal hall ever out? Like Moana?

If I only have a party ticket for 7pm but arrive at 4pm can I get fastpasses( will I even have a paper ticket I could put n a kiosk? I assume there are no fp once the party starts at 7.

Yes, but only if there are still Fast Passes available (they'll issue them for return times up until 7 p.m.). I wouldn't count on any being still available that late in the day, though.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already, but what restaurants do a preferred viewing package for the Halloween party parade? Seems like I've seen reference to BB, but any others?

I have only seen BB in the past 3 years. IMO I don't think you really need preferred seating for the parade. Now for the fireworks that's a whole other story. I usually watch the second parade so its not as crowded.

And of course, there's no preferred seating for the fireworks. :( I'd definitely pay for it!

I am so excited about the new Halloween merchandise, particularly the Haunted Mansion items. I wish they would release information about the happiest haunts tour. It looks like they will be doing it again this year but I am hoping it is different than last year. I would have thought there would be a little more info/easier to find when we are only a couple of days from being able to book the first tours.
