How would you pack for mid-November?

We are coming the week before Thanksgiving and are tent camping at Fort Wilderness. We have three Disney park days and one Universal Day.
We are not easily chilled (I'm from Colorado, DH is from Michigan) and we currently live in Middle Tennessee. So, were used to all kinds of weather, but are unfamiliar wth Florida in November! I was at Disney on Thanksgiving Day 1992, way back when people still stayed home and the park was empty. We had literally no wait times for anything, and the weather was dreary and about 60 degrees.

So, what can I expect? Can we still wear sandals? Do we need to bring hoodies? Thanks!

Expect everything from highs in the 90s to the 60s, lows in the 60s to the 40s.
You'll probably be able to wear sandals at some point.
You'll probably need a hoodie at some point.

Florida cold is a damp cold. Even though you're used to cold weather, it will feel colder than you expect.

You might luck out with beautiful Florida fall temps (highs about 85, lows about 65). You might have some overcast days with highs about 70 and lows about 50 - and it will feel colder. As Robo said: layers are your best bet. Bring jeans, bring shorts, bring a jacket, bring a hoodie, bring t-shirts, bring sandals and sneakers.

As a Floridian, I'd only pack jeans, but I don't wear shorts below 85 or so.

We were there week after Thanksgiving last year. Temps were about 75-77 and sunny. I wore short sleeves and capris. The kids wore shorts and tshirts and they swam every day. It was practically perfect weather. We maybe needed a sweatshirt one night.

I would wait until the week before and then start. Seriously I am in south Louisiana and we had some crazy ups and downs before, during and after Thanksgiving. You'll need clothing for 2 seasons probably.

Everything

I've had the week before Thanksgiving week with a Highs in the 50's and 60's and lows in the 30's and 40's (and actual snow flurrys reported at the airport).. those was a jeans, sweatshirt and winter coat trip, But MVMCP felt appropriately like Christmas.

And I have ahd that week with highs in the mid 80's and lows in the mid 60's ..what I consider to be perfect shorts and t-shirt weather all week.

Ditto. We are from New Jersey and I check the extended forecast about a week ahead. We usually go in mid November leaving to go back home weekend before Thanksgiving. We have had weather in the 80s to high 50s. Once on the same trip ( DH had to buy a ski cap & we each wore a sweatshirt plus lightwight rainjacket we had packed)Usually it been in the 70s during the day. We wear shorts during the day( sometimes with a lightweight jacket in the morning )& have gone to pool most afternoons. Sometimes at night we have switched to jeans & a jacket but not always.

Most days are jeans, short sleeves, and a light jacket for the evenings. But, I would include a couple pairs of shorts and some winter layers just in case--at least one of everything.

I agree with this. Even if it looks like beautiful weather, I would still make sure to pack a hoodie/sweatshirt just in case it gets chilly.

We were there in December last year, and the one day we had jeans and hoodies on ALL day. The other days we were hot walking around in shorts and t-shirts. Pack for it all in my opinion!

We are going that same week! We will definitely pack lots of layers.
I will check the forecast (probably obsessively) leading up to the trip, and make tweaks to our packing the in the last couple days before we leave.
I am hoping for "average" which would be highs in the high 70s and lows in the high 50s. Sounds amazing!

Novmeber can definitely be a mixed bag of weather - all in one trip.

A few years ago (2014 I think) we absolutely froze on our last day. Our options were to either spend $$ on jackets or just stay in our room for the last day. And we're Canadian so we're used to cold. But this was wind and cold with the addition of Disney humidity that just chilled to the bone.
We had sweaters/hoodies but needed jackets to keep out the wind.

Take a bit of everything.

We've visited in November several times and have experienced a little of everything. We're visiting again in late November this year and I plan to keep an eye on the weather for the weeks leading up to our trip. I know I'll probably have to pack a little of everything; thank heavens for the washer/dryer in our DVC unit! I well remember one December visit with freezing temps that made it colder there than here in the Mid-Atlantic!

I'd pack for both warm and cold weather. When we were at WDW the week after Thanksgiving 2016, they had record highs. One the next to last park day, it was in the mid-high 80s with high humidity. On our last day, the temps finally dropped into the 60s.

I'm seriously hoping for warm weather when we go at that time of year. I have seen projections for November from a farmer's almanac type thing, that have us looking at highs in the mid 70s and lows in the 50s. Hoping this is true because we will be able to wear t-shirts during the day and perhaps just a light jacket in the evening.

Everyone is right about layers! Even if you happen to have a day that gets up into the 80's it might still feel cool in the mornings or evenings. Definitely plan on having a light jacket or sweater.

We were these last November. I wore capris and a t shirt all week. Evenings were cool. A light sweater is all I needed. The days were perfect, mid 70's low humidity.
