Thanks. I'm going either way with or without free dining. I guess I just don't know which is better. Change it now or later. I'm a little confused. Can I add free dining to my existing reservation online or do I have to call?

Thanks for the pixie dust. Appreciate it.
If the hotel is offered and the Mod button is there, jump on it, but if not call. It might already be booked up, and if you don't get it the first day, don't stop looking.

Kind of off topic....but we're all here for the food right?!?! Has anyone eaten at T-Rex? Yay or nay? My boys are 4 (next week:bday:) and 5.5. It's not too scary is it? Also, they never seem to have availability online but I've heard if you call the restaurant directly they have lots of tables. Any truth to that?
When the meteor shower's go through it gets really intense because the dinosaurs start yelling and screaming really loud and it could be scary for a little kid.

Ok next question:
My niece is going to be staying with us for the week that we will be there. She is going to be 11 months old. Will we need park tickets for her to get fastpasses (dumbo, mickey, etc) or will the adults have to get the fastpasses and she can just come along? When I was looking at MDE it was saying something about her needing park tickets, but I know that children under 3 get in free (I think). Is this true? What about dining for her?-

I have not been there but they do have this restaurant in Kansas City KS if you ever wanted to try it without having to go to DW

Ack! I'm getting so anxious to book. We are super flexible with dates so I'm excited to know WHEN we are going. I've been just waiting for this trip for so long. My daughter is 17 months old and we have been "planning" this trip since I found out I was pregnant. We are so excited to go as a family of 3!

I'm SOOO looking forward to this trip and the low crowds! I've been messing with touring plans and it's looking good! For Magic Kingdom, I decided to just put all the attractions I wanted to hit, and see what could fit in. Well... it all did in one day! And that was at a slow walking pace, with breaks and meals! We will end up doing one full day, one afternoon/evening, and MNSSHP, so should be able to go on our favorites multiple times! And for Epcot, no ride was more than 20 minutes, including FEA at about 11:30. We will still get FP+ for that one but it's good to know!
Are the crowds really low? We are planning 9.5-9.12, and that should be a pretty low period, but with F&W starting earlier this year, who knows?

Hey guys!

I've been stalking the thread, and you amazing people for awhile now! I just wanted to ask a quick question, and hopefully I will be able to have enough time to stick around until FD drops.

If the deal drops again at 4am, and I can't modify my resort at all (it says i need to call), then I still need to wait until 7am? Or do we think the phone lines will open earlier?

Last year I was able to get a great room for a week at POP AND Free Dining in June. So I am just wondering about this year a little bit more since I'm starting earlier than usual.

:)

Children under 3 are free. No need for fast passes since there is no park ticket. She will just come along with you. She will however count as one of your ADRs. Not a credit but counted in your party when you make them. This gets tricky if she makes the party 6 because then gratuity is included in your bill. She will have so much fun!!

I've eaten there once. If you've ever eaten at Rainforest Café, it's practically the same. Just with dinosaurs instead of monkeys and birds. They have a 'meteor shower' instead of a thunderstorm where the dinosaurs move and make noises.

I'm sure she will. I'm already planning on getting her original mickey ears from the chapau and getting them inscribed with her name! This little girl is going to be so spoilt!

I forgot to mention. She can eat off your plate or you can order her a child's meal. But at 11 months it will probably too much food. We took our foster son when he was 10 months old in 2015. We are going back this year and hopefully celebrating adoption!

Well I hope congratulations are in order! Thanks for all the information.

I was sad the first time I stayed in a non-Disney hotel in Disneyland...now I almost never stay at one of the Disney hotels. There are too many offsite options for a fraction of the cost that are still walking distance. It does loose a bit of the magic but when you go several times a year you get plenty of magic in all without the Disney decor and can often still watch the fireworks from your hotel at 1/3 of the price.
.

Which resorts are walking distance? Do you mean to MK or DS?

Yes everyone is over 10! Which resort have rooms that sleep 5 adults? Or Rooms for 4 And 6? THAt also will not be excluded in the BB!

2 family suites at AOA (each fits 6),
ASMu- either 2 family suites (each fits 6) or 1 suite and 1 standard room
CBR or POR- some rooms fit 5 but the 5th will need to be around 5'6" and 150 lbs or less
2 FW cabins- each sleep 6, though there are bunk beds which may not be preferable for some adults
Plus most of the deluxes will fit five in standard rooms. If you end up only having nine people, you could try for a 2 bedroom villa as many of those will sleep 9.

Hi everyone! Been reading for a while but first time posting. We have reservations at CBR Aug. 26-Sep. 5. We have 10 people total in 2 pool view rooms. I've been hearing mixed answers on if pool view rooms are usually included, so I'm wondering if you all could give me a solid answer. Also, I've been reading a few posts about not being able to modify an existing reservation online to add FD. With our reservations (we have no special offers attached), will we be able to do it online?

I don't think you will have an issue. I have never heard of pool rooms being excluded, they are premium rooms and those are USUALLY included as you are already paying a premium for them.

Oh and sorry, if you have the modify button available you should be able to modify, but if not I would suggest taking a cat nap and calling when the phones open.
