Edit: I meant to add - I had read about Emmy Rossum being a good Belle candidate, but I don't know who she is other than looking @ her wiki page.

As a "Shameless" fan, I don't think my brain could switch from seeing Emmy as the salty Fiona Gallagher to the wholesome Belle! :) I actually liked Emma Watson as Belle and appreciated that she had more of a "plain" look as some have stated. Belle doesn't seem to be the type of princess who would waste a lot of time on mascara and heavy make-up, and I like that kind of role model for my daughters! More natural beauty than "cover girl" stuff, but maybe that's just me.

I have seen them. What horrible is that they are an exact resemblance. I'm sorry I'm being mean. Im sure she is a fine actress just not belle. I feel like they could have at least made her hair look darker and more full like belle.

I'm not a fan either. Something about her "frowny" mouth bothers me. I feel like she never smiles. I didn't mind her when she was young in Harry Potter but the movie that did it for me was "This Is the End." I couldn't stand her in that movie. Sorry to those that like her, just my honest opinion.

I loved it. I think maybe a few casting calls could have been changed. But I love Beauty and the Beast always have.
princess and the frog, Little Mermaid, and lion king I think would be cool live action remakes

See my previous (or possible post?) post re:Little Mermaid film.

OMG...the doll is the worst I've ever seen....she looks mad! And she looks like a middle aged woman....not that middle aged women aren't beautiful, but the character is supposed to be young. Not a good likeness at all!

IMO I think that most of the disney dolls now are ugly since Hasbro took it from Mattel. The faces are more large and kind of creepy from Hasbro. Even my granddaughters noticed and they are only 6 and 7! I look at the older disney dolls made by Mattel and they are much nicer! Just my Opinion.

Your wish is Disney's command! It's in the works now. Music by Lin Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).

Plus there's 2 other versions also being done. One by Universal and the other is an independent.

Be aware, they're closer to the HCAnderson version than the animated one. :crutches:

The next Disney remake will be Mary Poppins which wrapped filming recently in England. Emily Blunt as Mary and LMMiranda :-)worship:) as Bert.

There's a slew of other remakes/live actions from Disney coming up too including Aladdin (no Robin Williams:charac2:) and Lion King.

If you're really hanging for some "real" Little Mermaid, you could always watch the Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah 80s movie, Splash!
I just read that they're making a Jungle Cruise movie, based obviously on the ride, staring The Rock Dwayne Johnson

Totally agree. I personally think she is beautiful, but more importantly I think she portrays what I would think Belle would/should be like. I like the 1991 Beauty and the Beast for nostalgia's sake, but it's creepy and overall pretty shallow. They brought way more depth to this one and improved on the 1991 version so much with little added details and narrative changes, and I think Watson as Belle helped that process a lot. She is intelligent and determined, and while we were supposed to feel that way about 1991 Belle I was never really buying it. I think she also brings the wistfulness and restlessness of Belle to the screen very well, and the character has a sort of quiet bravery that is really nice to see.

Does anyone know what the Bounce Back offer is at the moment? Is it room only or FD? Has it been the same for awhile? We got FD for August last October.

Hey I'm a Middle Aged woman but I don't
If you do T-Rex, pay oop.
I would pay oop for Brown Derby too. Then again I would only be ordering the Cobb Salad there.
I would do Ohana dinner over breakfast.
I would do BOG dinner out of pocket. I dislike cupcakes for dessert.

That's my fav at the HBD too. Definetly OOP. Lol.

It's been a room only bb since November for dates ending this December. The FD bb generally comes out early August.

I don't need makeup. I just need a natural beauty. Bahahaha!!! She just didn't look right. That's all I can say. I needed a heart shaped face with some fuller cheeks. I'll shut up now. But this has nothing to do with makeup. I rarely wear it and my 16 yo never does neither does she wear high heels. She is rebelling in all the right ways. Lol.

I'm not sure I'll know what to do when I see the Free Dining special offer finally show up, I'll probably scroll right by.......wow wait what...........spazz attack!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for getting us back on topic!!! And I apologize for starting a tangent. Lol.

I was thinking that last night. What if I actually see it!!
