Standard view high floor rooms at WL are "secretly" MK view rooms... at least kind of. We check in a few days and I requested room 6056 or about around there.
That's what I'm hoping for if I can't get a lobby view room. I'd rather be up and away or close to
The lobby!

Please tell me I'm not seeing what I think I am. Tell me those cabins are not done in those colors? Rose, green, blue...? At first I thought it might just be some kind of primer, but that wouldn't make any sense.

Am I seeing this right?
It's currently a topic of much discussion as the color choices seem totally out of place, yet they don't seem to be primer, either. We can only hope they are some sort of temporary colors for some unknown reasons.

I kind of thought the same thing, but they're not exactly vibrant in real life - more of a pastel, not that I find pastels any more germane to the wilderness theme. They are definitely colorful though and not all the same color - and yes, there is absolutely a pink one. Here's another angle, where more of the colors are reasonably neutral:

And this one appeared to be the closest to completion, I don't think the colors we are seeing are primer...

^^the blue has writing on it... a wrap of some sort. The other colors look like primer to me.... but what do I know.

Sorry but these "Colors" you are seeing are not paint or exterior finishes in these pictures! The blue is specific construction wrap material and the "Pink" is standard insulation layer.

Both very know construction reasons, the WL additions will not be neon or pastels for that matter...

I'm hoping to be staying at VWL mid November this year. How far along do you all think the construction will be by then?

No I'm not talking about the blue wrap or the typical pink insulation. These look like finished siding.

:rotfl2: I, too, knew that the part with writing on it was not the finished outside and I also knew that the black paper on the roof is not the final roofing :p the pastel colors are on the cabins on both sides of the main lodge on all of the cabins that are beyond a certain level of completion and I think that really is the exterior paint finish/siding. I don't have any pictures from the boat of the cabins on the other side. I guess time will tell...

Unknown. Certainly, it will be further along than now, and recent comments have indicated the new pool will be open sometime in the summer (and possibly the new eatery). However, it's unlikely that any of the new rooms will be ready.

Hello- Looking to book a CL stay this year at Christmas. Will the lounge be completed by then? Thanks!

Hello- Looking to book a CL stay this year at Christmas. Will the lounge be completed by then? Thanks!

It was completed the weekend before Thanksgiving 2016. I stayed there just after Thanksgiving, posted a bunch of pics on the CL thread towards the end of November, some of which I think were also picked up on page 1 of this thread.

I had never stayed CL pre-renovation so don't have anything to compare it to, but we very much enjoyed the new lounge!

My family is staying at Wilderness Lodge mid-February. Disney just sent me an email that Roaring Forks and Trout Pass will be closed for refurbishment. As an alternative, they noted:

- Geyser Point Pool Bar & Grill will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as specialty cocktails, beer and wine. The menu offers a variety of items, including hot breakfast entrees, a gourmet burger, sandwiches and salads. Kids' meals will also be available.

- Territory Lounge is now offering a continental-style breakfast featuring gourmet coffees, pastries and a yogurt parfait.

Did the email give an ending date? My family & I are coming "Home" in July. Thanks.

I didn't think they were redoing the inside! Is the geyser bar and Grill going to be QS? Because if not there won't be any QS on property! We are planning on staying sept 7-14.

I got the same e-mail this morning they didnt give an ending date but we are there from March 4-13.

Oh and hi by the way! I'm useually lurking around the thread and haven't introduced myself yet. This will be our first time at Wilderness lodge and club level and I'm really excited!
