Wow! That pretty much guarantees I won't be having my 5 year vow renewal using the Memories Collection unless they revert the pricing before December 2018. The new price is pretty darn close to my Escape Wedding which included a lot more AND an annual pass!

Annual passes are no longer included in any DFTW packages.

That's insane :(

I've been waiting two years to book this and I only started talking to them a few days ago and they didn't mention anything about this! There is no way I can afford the $7000 :(

Oh no! I would recommend looking into the Four Season or the Swan & Dolphin, both of which offer all-inclusive wedding packages for less than $4,000.

I have been chatting to Just Marry as an alternative. I am getting married in Disney this year, no matter what!

I did email Disney and see if there was anything they could do about the price since it wasn't mentioned when I sent started chatting to them. And I can't see it in any information I've been sent. *fingers crossed*

Beautiful wedding photos by the way ^ :)

Yepper, I know. They were when I got married in 2013. I was just trying to compare all the stuff I got with my Escape wedding 3 years ago which is now basically how much a Memories costs during the high season (and offers so much less).

Thanks! Hope this works out for you!

Exactly. They did the same thing at Aulani a few years back, but in reverse. The Memories package is now called Escape at twice the price with nothing added!

I think it's ridiculous to up the prices for Memories package. Usually I am cool with stuff like this. You are paying for the venue, it's the experience so it's worth the money, blah blah. Memories package is so bare and basic. And you still have to pay for your own officiant. You're basically just paying for a photographer and the property. That's it.

Well that explains my ridiculously high quote :( Memories collection makes NO sense at $4500. I guess doing small vow renewals is not as profitable for WDW.

It depends on which type of event you do. Memories includes flowers, a location, a musician, transportation and photography. Escape has all of those plus a cake and you can have more guests. Wishes isn't a package, but those minimum expenditures will be spent on everything you need for a wedding.

Interesting... I'll have to do some more research on this. I know a fair amount about Disney World, but clearly not so much the wedding information! Thanks!

Yeah this price hike just put our Escape package out of reach and the Memories one isn't attractive at all. :(

I know this is an old thread.......my dd and I were looking at their Disney's website - not sure if it reflects the above prices. I thought it showed less. We have so many questions, are we able to talk to a planner/consultant before actual booking a date? For example - are children included in the count? Are they charged less for the meal? What is the beverage package cost per person - beer/wine/soda/drinks? Is there dancing space/room in all the reception venues listed, etc. etc. etc.

This thread came up while searching/googling......will keep doing so :)
