Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

The price per person is listed in the room service brochure, I think it's around $40 for an adult. But it is definitely cheaper than eating at Ohana because you can split it. We ordered for two adults and the four of us had PLENTY to eat. It's called the polynesian twilight feast or something like that, no mention of Ohana in the menu. I have plans to get it at least two nights next month, ha ha. Room service always has fees but it was still a great deal.

I have an ADR for Ohana but may reconsider and do the Twilight feast instead. One of my sons is a vegetarian, so in his case, justifying the expense of what is mainly a carnivorous feast is a little difficult to do. (Not sure what Ohana does to compensate vegetarians. Definitely not worth it if it's just expecting him to eat salad, stir fry and noodles.) But even if they do offer an alternate meal, it just wouldn't be the same. Unless, of course, it were delivered in the same sequence-fashion as the regular meal, bringing him one dish after another.

A thought just occurred to me. Does anyone know if we'd be able to get extra portions of some of the vegetarian dishes if we were to order the meal in-room? Just not wanting to pay the $40+ for veggies and noodles.

Does anyone know if there is any additional charge for the room service ohana? We have never ordered room service and want to do the Ohana dinner one night in our room but are wondering if they charge extra for a delivery fee/service charge, etc?

Also, by any chance, do they give the option of delivering lapu lapus to go alone with dinner?! Ahhh one can dream!
I believe the service fee for any item off room service is 18%. Tip is additional.

Well, I'm back **sobbing**

We had a great time. Too bad this trip flew by faster than any other before it  So weird... I guess b/c we were SO busy the entire time. No lounging! (Well, maybe one hour by the - awesome! - Oasis Pool.) We hit 3 and 4 parks every day!! It was so much fun... DHS and Star Wars stuff was probably the highlight. Chewie!

The resort looks better than ever (I said that last summer, too :D) and we enjoyed the lighter crowds all over the resort and parks. Not to say it didn't get crowded (especially at bag check and in Fantasyland a time or two), but I could definitely tell a difference...

Had Tonga Toast two different mornings at Kona Café and it was yummy and NOT dry. We had early reservations and our food and service was great both times (ask for Betty:thumbsup2)

Greatest change from our trip last summer was being able to get 4th + FPs, at any of the parks, via the app :dancer: Brilliant, and a game changer-

Vacations always seem to go fast, especially when you're at a place as amazing as the Poly :cloud9:. Love the pics! The strawberries look awesome, did you order those from room service?

The Poly grounds look as beautiful as always! Now that you're back, it's time to start planning your next trip ::yes::.

Hi mickeynut:hug: Yes, I called and asked about the strawberries. They were not on the in-room dining menu. You have to give 24-hours notice. 6 strawberries for $25; 12 for $45. With automatic gratuity/tax/delivery charge, my order was $59.22. They were festive and delicious!

@johnsonet - Thanks for sharing your pics! They are beautiful! I'm glad you had a great trip.
Thank you so much :wave2:

Hi there

Thanks for the info on the strawberries. I'll have to keep that in mind on our next Poly stay :).

I am too excited to stay here next Christmas ALREADY!!!!

The Poly is amazing, you will love it! :goodvibes

Johnsonet,
Thanks for brightening my morning with your lovely pictures!
Sorry you are having the post Disney blues. I hope by posting your vacay pics helps ease the pain a little.
I haven't been on the board for a while, no Disney trips in my future:worried:, but I was wondering which longhouse you were in and also if you have any pictures of the oasis pool?
Thanks again.
