This is what the June 2016 Activities Calendar says:
Movie Under the Stars
Join us at the Solarium Sunday,Tuesday, and Thursday or on the beach Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for your favorite movies!
I don't know what changes have recently been made for the beach location, but it looks like the Solarium had already been a scheduled location for Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday showings.
Here now. The movie is outside at the volleyball court (closer to the beach than the hotel) on the non-Solarium nights. Campfire (in June it's Mon. Wed. Fri. Sat.) is at the usual spot between the entrance to the pirate ship slide and a wall next to the beach (ETA: the usual spot per a cm at the movie tonight (this is my first stay so I didn't know for sure)). Free bag of Pop Secret popcorn at the movie (apparently a sponsor - the brand name is printed on the movie screen, below the movie).
Pool slide access is not impacted by beach being roped off (and patrolled - always a cm nearby). Friendship boats seem to be running as usual to me (those I have used before). No change to the walkway to HS - easily accessible to walk to and from there. So, basically only alligator impact to me, a first time BC guest, seems to be The rope along the edge of the beach and a CM smiling at you at the rope. (I haven't stayed here before so veterans I could imagine would see a loss of atmosphere, not going on the beach, if that was used a lot I'm thinking.)
Oh - they have cm led games on the grass, like parachute and balls and stuff near the volleyball court at 5pm. Just easy elementary school age stuff. The movie cm tonight said it was new, just started a few days ago. 9 kids participated today.
Also eta: good view of the HS Star Wars fireworks from the movie! So, you see a tiny bit of Epcot fireworks when the movie starts at 9pm, then the HS fireworks at 9:45pm. The music isn't piped in for the SW fireworks. But good view - they are mostly high ones, unlike epcots.
ETA yet again (DS just returned from the movie): the popcorn was a 4.5oz bag (pretty good size) of Pop Secret kettle corn, with Star Wars theming. They are playing that SW movie tonight and Wednesday here. I wouldn't be surprised if it's free popcorn just for this licensing tie in. But no clue - just guessing. (I wouldn't want someone to tell their kids free popcorn at the movie, and then be sad.)
HTH someone.
