we have been stuck on a ride more then once in the last 25 years...but Tuesday evening was the craziest of them all.
We were on the People Mover and we had a few stops and goes...and then right before we went into Space Mt. it stopped again...we sat and waited and it was wicked hot...no breeze at all...then the annoucements came..your ride will resume momentarily...stay seated..after about ten minutes..another one ..a hostess will be with you right away..stay seated...and then it happened..we had to be evacuated off PEOPLE MOVER...walked over the race car area...and that took (I think) forever...it was a long walk..to a door that led to the stairs inside a store...we all got a fastpass ticket...to anything except the Mine Train Ride...strange evacuation..

How about your experiences

We got stuck on Kali River Rapids at the very bottom of the first big climb. The door of our vehicle was right next to a sidewalk with about an 18 inch gap. Not only would they not let us step out but we had to wait for them to evacuate the three boats on the ramp first, requiring them to roll up the stairs/ramp thingy from some hidden corner. It was burning hot and we were in direct sunlight. They did kindly bring us all bottled water while we waited and we got an anytime FP for the day. It took over an hour to evacuate us. I think had we known, we might have 'risked our safety' and stepped off sooner.

Splash mountain.
All the way round the ride, it kept stopping and starting.
We were 3 logs away from disembarking at the end of the ride when it stopped completely.
They evacuated the line and all of the log flumes throughout the ride, leaving us until last as we were in a safe space. The two logs in front of us were able to bid embark onto the unloading platform after being pulled forward slightly. We were too far back and were the very last flume to be escorted off the ride. We went out through a back entrance and were given the fastpasses for any ride except 7DMT, but we had no time to use them as we were due to be picked up by Magical Express.
We were also escorted out when Spaceship Earth stopped a couple of days earlier, just after the view of Planet Earth but just before our video started playing.

Most exciting for us was Everest a few years ago. Ride stopped when we were at the very top before it goes backwards. Only stuck for 15 minutes before we got evacuated, and we were lucky enough to be in the shade so it wasn't bad at all. Got to walk down the stairs inside the mountain which was pretty cool.

Last trip to Disneyland two weeks ago, got evacuated from Pinocchio ride, it doesn't look very good with all the lights on. Then Space Mountain the ride stopped just after we sat down and pulled forward. They allowed us to stay in our seats, ride was down for 15 minutes due to a "Code V".

We've had several of the minor 5 - 10 minute type delays, but only one resulted in an evacuation and that was from Pooh. We had just gotten on and around the corner entering the attraction when it stopped, so when they did stop everything and announce we were being evacuated, we were one of the first ones off.

We got stuck on Splash - right around the bend from where you go up the big hill. We were there a good 20 or so (maybe more...it's been a few minutes), before they turned the sound off (but not the animatronics). They started evacuating boats. I was fine with it - just glad that my newly-potty-trained-son didn't have to "go". They got us off, led us to a door behind some scenery. Came out in a parking lot. Any time FP that day :)

We were also stuck on EE at the very top - where you start to go backwards. Hot August day. No shade. A good 15 minutes. LOTS of hair binders up there (is there a story with that??). We did not get evacuated...eventually started. But, my younger son reminds me all the time about how hot and miserable he was (I kindly remind him I REMEMBER THE WHINING!!!)

We were stopped in BTMRR, going up the big, outdoor hill ... And then a heavy downpour started!
I've never been that wet on Kali!
After a few minutes, we started up again. I was hoping to see more reactions from the next group waiting to board.

Was stuck on Haunted Mansion for about 5 minutes a few years back.

The weirdest stoppage was on Space Mountain. Stuck on an incline which was rough on the neck and for some reason, after about 10 minutes, they turned the lights on and we had to ride all the way through like that. It looked like that old game Mouse Trap!

The only evacuation of a ride I have been on was TSM. It would have been fine, expect my sister is special needs needs and was having a few panic issues that trip. It was our first time riding TSM and she would not go back on the rest of that trip. She also would not ride on the next trip a little over a year later even though she loved it until the evacuation.

Praise God, I have never been stuck on any attraction for more than 5 minutes. There have been quite a few of them, but always a short wait with the ride starting up again.

Stuck on Pirates for about 30 minutes once, right about where the cats are meowing. The cats are almost too real looking, lol.

99% of the time HM stops for guest assistance reasons. Obviously issues happen but most of the time is has nothing to do with the ride itself and everything to do with the guests!

Considering how often those rides are run, day in and day out, all year long, I'm surprised they don't have more issues.

We got stuck on Splash mountain on our last trip for like 10 minutes. I will never forget it though, lol...my son who is on the spectrum BEGGED me to sit in the FRONT! I was like are you serious we are going to get soaked! But he wasn't listening to me, he was fixated on the fact that he wanted to sit in the front...we also had an ADR that night for BOG and he was so excited to meet the Beast. Anyways we are going along the ride and he starts saying how we will just go back to the resort and change after the ride, bc he can't meet the beast looking like a drenched rat, lol. I told him we wouldn't have time to change because we needed to get to the reservation and going back to the resort takes time. He started flipping out and I thought we were going to have a meltdown right there. Thats when the ride stopped! Then my son started having anxiety bc the ride stopped...I looked down and saw I had my backpack with me and inside my backpack I kept ponchos in case of rain...I quickly grabbed them out and through them on us while the ride was stopped, LOL....I should get mom of the year award for my fast thinking! This is my absolute favorite picture that was taken the whole trip! And my son was really happy we didn't get soaked!Splash Mountain 3.jpeg

While I'd love to have that story to tell, I'm pretty sure they'd have to bring me a pillow and a blanket because I'd sooner sleep on the ride than get off at the TOP of anything. I LOVE that ride, but I'm afraid of heights and I'm not getting off at the TOP of anything!
