I am doing MNSSHP Sept 8th, and with tax my ticket will come to $76. Not bad, considering I paid $78 with tax last year for MVMCP. It will be my first Halloween party, and something I am doing solo, so the cost isn't really an issue. But if I had a family to pay for, and we were going in October, forget it.

Eh, I don't know. Most people were "guaranteeing" prices between $100 and $199 this year and only a couple nights even hit the low threshold. This is about what I expected.

I don't like tier pricing though because our usual early November date was pretty dead and I worry it's cheaper price might spark more attendance from locals. Is what it is though.

I just saw this thread and thought well let me go check and see surely the first week of October won't be to bad. $91 for the Tuesday. I really wanted to go but being a family of 7 I think Disney hit the point that we may just pass on this and enjoy everything else about the vacation.

Okay don't shoot me and I suppose I am looking at this slightly differently as I converting it to £ instead of $ (so seems cheaper) but I think it's not too bad.

As I was convinced it would be around the $150 mark like the last few events have been, so to get it at $91 is a relief (Obvs know this is more that last year but not as bad as it could have been).

While i was completely expecting tickets at $99 every night, it's still too pricey for us to do for a fourth year. I LOVED the party in the past, and if tickets were still $58-$62 like they were in the past I would have bought four for our trip. But having done it enough, we have decided instead to go out to a lovely dinner and then go back to our resort at the Poly and watch the fireworks from the beach and just relax.

Sadly, the AP discounts dont fall on any of the days I was planning to go. So last year's $74.55 tickets turned into $97.98 this year.

Those that bought your tickets already if you selected print at home did you get your email with the tickets in them yet? Normally when I select this option I get an email with them right away! So far no confirmation email nor the print at home tickets! Should I be worried?

My Confirmations stated that the order has not been completed due to "system availability" and soon an email will be sent once the order is processed.

Yikes! Prices do continue to rise faster than the cost of inflation, don't they. After last year, we decided to stop going to the parties. They sell too many tickets making crowds unbearable, especailly at the premium price. I'd rather pay the $149 for extra magic hours than fight the crowds for the parades and fireworks and fightinng for the space you've been staking out for the last 75 minutes. For both the MNSSHP and MVMCP, crowds and lines were longer than the non-party days/nights. This October and December we are going to pass on the parties and enjoy the holiday decorations on non party days. I would reccommend first timers to experience it. Snow on Main Street is magical!

This is simple economics:

1) Dates CLOSER to the actual holidays are more popular, thus they SHOULD be more expensive.

2) If last year's prices were selling out parties, it only makes sense to raise prices. As a 'bonus' --- Higher prices could mean less people go to the parties, which means less crowds that people complain about. Which means the price may be more worth it than last year's lower price.

With the tiered pricing I think the earlier (cheaper) parties would have more locals and be even more crowded. I do hope I am wrong.

We did mnsshp in 2012 and 2014. Last year we were at WDW during mvmcp, but I could not stomach the prices. Now I really can't. There are so many other things I'd like to spend that much money on. I have the money to pay for it; I just don't see the worth for my family. Evidently other people do, and I hope they all have fun. But unless the party offerings go up or the prices go down, I don't see myself doing another party.
