2016 Free Dining Watch ~ Part 2

I have to admit while so grateful to have free dining in a pirate room at CBR, I am a little jealous of those who got CSR! Wondering if it's just my dates (11/16-20) or the fact that I set my alarm for 4CT instead of 4ET (stayed up til 11CT/12ET, set alarms for 1CT/2ET, 2:30CT/ET and 4CT/5ET)? What was I thinking...

While originally I was slightly disappointed there was only Pirate Rooms left at CBR when I woke up around 5, that disappointment slowly waned when I realized that the other package deal they released let me snag AKL for only $100 more than my CBR reservation. The dining plan would have been convenient, especially for "free", but honestly probably would have been more food than my mom and I really need.

Hope everyone is able to eventually get what they want. Keep checking, things will start to open up as everyone else moves around their reservations.

Woke up at 4:45 and checked the specials page only to find FD had really, finally, dropped!!

Booked my resort (AoA) and the exact dates I wanted with FD online at about 4:45 am. Took 20 minutes to get it all in; thankfully had already set up my MDE account, so that saved some time. It was EXACTLY the cost I had computed, so I was impressed with my own calculations.

Thanks to all on this board for your hints and guidance. Now, to figure out the ADRs and FP thing. I'm hoping you will all be in the planning forums as well!

ahhhhh !! It wouldn't let me make changes online and now the phones are jammed. STRESSED !!

Keep refreshing! I eventually got mine to go through after a few refreshes.

It's cool that we get a round of mini golf plus admission to Disneyquest as well.

I may be completely wrong because I didn't check this packages offers but I thought Disney Quest tickets weren't included this year because it could close at any moment? Are they included again?

Thank you so much Dirty Steve and Black! I got RO at GF, a first for us. I could not believe nothing was available at CR or Poly for our dates in October. BUT we are excited to try something new! If it was not for this board I would not have know to get up at 12, 2 and 4 to check! I had no issues booking....unlike the fiasco last year!

Got FD!!!! YAY!!! Just keep trying, earlier this morning it said nothing at CBR for my modify - then later just now it was there - had to do it twice before it went through - but I have confirmation and an email now! So I'm good!

Thanks! Logged out of MDE and did a search of your dates and STILL only pool view available! I'm just going to have to keep checking over the next few days/weeks.... both our orig dates and playing with the dates. We had a wonderful "Garden View" room in 2014 and would love to have that again and pay so much less than the pool/lagoon that I had to book to get FD this morn!

Just checked my reservation. I guess I wasn't paying too much attention at 4:15 am. My standard at BC was changed to pool/lagoon view. I was wondering why the cost was only $300 less.

To get the FD offer, you likely had to upgrade room types as well as add the ph/wp&m option.

Yup, I had to upgrade from Garden View to Pool/Lagoon View at BC to FD. I'm not giving up. Going to keep checking and calling in the next few weeks to see what's available at Garden View.

I ended up changing our dates to 11/21-11/29, and was able to snag CSR water view. It saved about $300. I'm hoping flights will still be reasonable. Our original dates were 11/17-11/25, and only Pirate Rooms were available.

Sorry I missed so much here lol. I was able to get CBR Nov 26 - Dec. 3 with free dining a few minutes after 3 am (my time) and then I crawled back to bed lol. I was so excited it took me forever to go back to sleep.
