Who did you purchase your tickets from?
I purchased directly throuhh disney since.i was getting the military room discount. I did the math and it would be more beneficial to get the free dining over room discount if they will allow me to exchange my tickets

:love2:I, like many others, am going no matter free dining or not. But the free dining would allow us the budget freedom to attend mvmcp and maybe buy a set of ears I don't need! So, I was at The World last September, 14-22 and it was so busy! How will Nov. 14 through 21 compare? Anyone that's been in Nov. Please chime in. Just husband and I.:earsgirl::earsboy:
Thank you for this post! I have an existing reservation, will not be changing the dates, but would love free dining because that frees up money to spend on other things! I am hoping that this works for me whenever free dining is finally released and I can just modify my existing reservation :)

So my husband and I have absolutely no plans on going back to WDW next year. But, we both agreed this morning that when we go in September if there's a FD BB were gonna put a deposit down on it just in case so I never have to do this whole free dining hunger games again!

I wonder if this is why there is such limited availability at the resorts right now..I've been totally stunned by it. Your post makes sense! Maybe a lot of people are placing deposits and waiting. Ha, thanks...you may have just solved a mystery for me!

We were there 9/12-9/19 last year-planned that week because it seemed like it would be slow according to all of the crowd calendars-they were WAY off! Going to give 9/3-9/10 a shot this year.

We have been that week in November and it was nice, but that was several years ago.

Anyone understand how my math is so different than others who said it cost them $100 to upgrade to AP?
No, I don't understand...but I'm considering doing APs if a 30% off room discount gets released for pass holders only on the 4 nights in December that I have booked...I have 2 non expiring hopper tickets that I was planning on using..but I may just old on to them.

Here's my thinking- I buy memory maker..which would be included in the AP...room discount would be $768..not have to buy 3 day park tickets...and since we are going in December we have a full year to visit again..We are going to Europe in summer of '17 for 15 nights..so a summer disney trip is out (which I don't do anyway lol)...but maybe a quick October trip could work.

It won't save me money, but it could come close to a wash, I think about a $100 difference. I would probably only purchase the AP for myself and just purchase separate tickets for my son.

I hope it works for you too. The modify button wasn't an option for me until that morning, so for those of you who don't see that as an option, hopefully (like it did for me), it will.
The modify button wasn't there for me either last year, but I just made a new reservation and cancelled the original one. It wasn't a problem other than the site being slow.

Lets hope it turns out he didnt use drugs.....its getting old burying people from prescription drug overdoses...

I was afraid this was gonna be the result when I saw the emergency landing story the other day...

Last few pictures of him he didnt look well..

this is discouraging to hear bc we picked sept 10 thru 17 based on several sources saying that it would be a very low crowd point, but that was also b4 they announced food and wine festival starting that week, which will be fun bc ive never been but it scares me bc of the potental of it being even more crowded....bummer

The CM I spoke with told me to start checking later this spring. They really don't know anymore then we do.

A lot of the phone CMs know LESS than people here (who frequent these forums). When it comes to the fine details and knowledge based on years of observing how WDW rolls, I rely on disboards, not phone CMs. It's their job and most carry out their required functions very well, but I've found that they usually don't share the passion for all things Disney that you see here.

Regarding the November dates you mention, we were there on almost those exact dates last year and it was quite crowded. Touring Plans crowd calendar shows fairly low crowds for that period, as they did last year. However, their predicted low crowds ended up being much higher. I'm sure free dining during that period of time had a lot to do with the increased crowds! September definitely has the lower crowds but the weather in November is much better :-)

Same here, going no matter what, but with the savings I could go to MVMCP!!

There was a religious holiday I think that fell at an odd time last year that caused an influx of visitors. Several CMs were surprised at the crowds. We attended the first MNSSHP thinking it would not be crowded and it was crazy.

F&W is fun, and can be crowded with locals the first weekend, but during the week is ok.

There may be some but I would not anticipate a lot. The MVMCP doesn't start until November 7th, probably so they can work on the decorations the days after Halloween.

They were last year :)

Thanks! We are having a really difficult time deciding when to go this year as we have a little flexibility in our schedules. The weeks we are looking at are Oct 17th, Oct 24, and Oct 31. None of those weeks fall within the FD this year so we thought that since we always go during Oct and have seen the Halloween decorations plenty of times, this year it would be nice to see some Christmas, if it will be up. We would also, however, like to avoid the heavier crowds and didn't know if those first few days of November will be packed due to the half-marathon....FD is what usually solidifies our dates but this year it won't be so easy to decide!
